Don’t you have a music store where you live ? Don’t be too grateful, man…
perhaps real life intervened with his catering to your needs? THIS is the attitude that will convince him not to share it at all…
He isn’t sharing yet anyway. This is why you don’t start threads unless you can deliver. He better hurry or someone else will. Maybe I will, I have the CD. But I won’t post it in FLAC.
He said on the previous page that he’s having issues with his internet connection.
No worries my friend! Take your time <3 Thanks for sharing with us!
No I’ll still share this, now I just wont share the trailer stems for Jurassic World that I just got earlier instead…

Well said miggyb!!! 🙂
They certainly sound interesting…
Just an update guys.. I don’t think I’ll have it up today. I’ve contacted my ISP and I have someone coming to take a look and possibly fix my connection.
On the upside, I’m going to visit family for the holidays tomorrow, and they have a fast 50mb connection. I know for sure I’ll get it uploaded there!
😀 I am so anxious for it too. 😀
"One dance" is already edited, it is in the last album "The Little Mermaid: Greatest Hits" which came with the Diamond Edition.
Yes, that song was left out of the set, since it doesn’t say in the track list.
But just be happy that now the magical underscore will be in complete form, compared to the 45-minute LP-length release we had before this was released.

Yes, Silence Is Golden is in The Music Behind the Magic, I downloaded that box-set in FLAC from this forum and most of the demos included are different than the ones in the Disc 2 of the Legacy Collection box-set:

For now I enjoy listening to the "Complete Score Edit" by the user Empire SB, it is amazing and even more complete than the Legacy Collection’s, though it’s unnoficial it sounds great:
Thread 177581
First of all, you guys can call me David. I’m so glad to listen to your replies (more on that later).
Thanks for telling me about the song One Dance. I listened to it just now online and it sort of sounds "off-beat" with the whole Little Mermaid score, and just now I heard the reason! Thanks to Tonttu who sent the message!
And thanks to TLMerman who recommended me the unofficial score. I should check it out. Meanwhile, still waiting to download the official Legacy Collection. I believe he is still ripping and uploading?
And thanks to Groovygoth666 for your indepth message about the box-set. I used to own an mp3 version of this, but deleted it, thinking that I’d get the same content on the Legacy Collection. Well, looks like I have to find it again. 🙁
Well, to make a long story short, I’m blind. I come from China, and was introduced here by a friend who loves listening to soundtracks. I’m now learning piano in Beijing, and love listening to all kinds of music (as long as it’s not too noisy, so modern pop music and stuff is not for me). I also enjoy film music, since most of it is classical-inspired.
OK, enough of this… I’m taking up your time…
Thanks for reading. Just want you guys to know that I’m very grateful for your replies!
I should sign off now – it’s getting late here. 🙂
Have a nice day!
By the way, nice to meet you all!

I usually order through Amazon and use 2 day shipping. This USUALLY gets it shipped here the day the release comes out. I also buy from amazing because these releases usually go for less than the retail price.
I ordered mine from Amazon with standard shipping. It shipped on Monday and arrived earlier today. Some people reported receiving their copy last week.
I love this soundtrack because it is very bright and varied.
The edition that you offer us is widely cherished by me and my family, especially because it will be available in my country until mid-December.
Again, thanks.
Are you sure the old OST and film do not contain a cut down version of the track? Both mixers in this set are top professionals

I Will be at work all day tomorrow, so I won’t have time to rip it until I get home. So it will be a little late when its done uploading. I thought I would go ahead and make this thread so that I can post the link as soon as I finish uploading it.

I noticed it as well. That has to do with the ripping. I believe it hasn’t been ripped carefully. I have the original album release and at that point it doesn’t contain any glitches.

Yes, it’s true. Also happens at the end of Under The Sea, when it starts with the extended final part. I’m a bit disappointed too with the missing backing vocals in "Fireworks" and Vanessa laughters in Poor U… Reprise are different from the ones in the film

Well, TLMerman, the laughter at the end of the track was a pretty interesting story. As we all know, this reprise was sung by Jodi Benson, and that’s the same in the film. The laughter at the end had two parts, first is Jodi Benson and then crossfades into Pat Carroll. On this CD, it presents Jodi’s original work, which to me is less scary, but I think it does the trick, since it was Ursula who stole Ariel’s voice, so she must "play" with it. That’s just my own opinion.
Another thing that really upsets me about this release is the "poor unfortunate" mixing/editing at the end of CD1 (track 32, Happy Ending). Also, some tracks didn’t fade well. The one I noticed is, the end of "part of your world (reprise)" didn’t fade but ends abruptly, and then Ursula Plots begins. Also, I personally think they could have separated the two, since the original album concluding chord for the reprise of the song is here.
Also, lead-in dialogue is present on Under The Sea and Part of Your World. The manner in which the lead-in dialogue cuts in in Part of Your World is pretty bothering to me. I don’t mind Poor Unfortunate Souls, since this song is story-driven, though I would prefer it if the orchestra was left alone, so the evil motifs can be heard clearly. But lead-in dialogue situations mentioned above are not for my taste. I had hoped that this release would restore this, but no luck!
Guess I shouldn’t keep my hopes up afterall. 🙁
Well I ripped it at the slowest setting I could to try and keep that from happening. It could be like that on the CD but I doubt it. I’ll take a listen to the track on cd and see if it is there. If not I’ll re-rip it.

I just noticed that on the track "Poor Unfortunate Souls (Reprise)" it states that the contributing artist is Pat Carroll, and there’s no sign of her. 😀 Also it does kind of deminish the excitement when you don’t hear her laugh at the end.
The transition (intro and then the lead-in/song) didn’t work. It sound poor. (same with Poor Unfortunate Sould)
I didn’t like Jodi’s vocalizing in Poor Unfortunate Souls, the volume is too low D: it’s almost a copy from the soundtrack (again)
Also misses her getting-her-voice-back vocalizing D:
I loved the extra laugh in Vanessa’s Song (although Pat should be there) and Jodi’s voice in "Ariel Left Behind" (Vanessa at the beach), it sound so clear and wonderful <3
We also finally got both Eric’s flutes.
Thanks for your willingness to do this, hack3rman. Can you also take a look at CD2, track 15 of Mary Poppins? I also notice some clicks in there (it is the demo of The Chimpanzoo). Many thanks for doing this!!
By the way, just wondering, did you rip it in the secure modes provided by EAC?
———- Post added at 06:33 AM ———- Previous post was at 06:24 AM ———-
What bothered me the most about the edits was the lead-in in POYW, not because of the talk, It’s because it’s not the same as the movie, it’s the soundtrack version, which contains diferent dialogue.

One vocal from Ariel is missing, though. It’s when her voice returns to her in the cue "Interrupting the Wedding". That’s another loss. 🙁 Also, I believe there’s a short cue after "Fireworks" and before "the Storm" that’s missing from this CD, lasting only a little bit (maybe 10 or 20 seconds?).

I noticed that too. We are getting more time and enhenced details in some tracks but we are loosing some seconds in others, appart from vocals and backing vocals missing, poor edited cuts… It’s a bit unprofessional to be a Legacy Collections album that has been remastered this year…

I agree with you, but what I meant is that ALL of Vanessa (Jodi) laughters are different here, they may have been re-recorded or taken from another recording that is different from the one in the film, not only that it’s missing Pat Carrol’s laughters in the end.

Agree. I should get the film and listen to it. I heard it at a friend’s house before. I mean, I’m curious about the difference in Jodi’s performances. What a pitty for this album! 🙁 I’ve kept my hopes up for so long and this is what we have. 🙁 What shall we do about Pocahontas?
But I do wish they did have in Ariel’s scales when she received her voice back.
But over all, I am very happy with this release! I love how clear it sounds.

Don’t worry, with the preview on iTunes I’ve heard the same glitches, the cds are ok, it’s a problem from the High "Disney records".
I’m so glad (and surprised) that Disney is creating this collection. It’s a fantastic insight into the award-winning scores.
All score and album titles (including film versions and instrumentals) are apart of it.

Hi TLMerman, today I returned to the original 1989 album release of the Little Mermaid. The version I have is the Special Edition with remastered audio. The backing vocals are there.
It’s my belief that they used orchestral-only tracks for the score and original album mix for the songs, and they treated "fireworks" as score only

Great interview! However, did anyone notice that the video ends with the short piece that plays after "Main Titles" in the end credits? I didn’t hear that short piece on the set, unless if I missed it somewhere. Was it included somewhere?
