They did the same with the other two films. They get a bunch of artists to write songs inspired by the movies. Although The Hanging Tree is a song from the book. JNH adapted the melody from The Lumineers for choir and orchestra when Katniss sings and the scene leads into a action scene. David Arnold loved it.
The score is already out on iTunes…has been for some days now in many countries!

There are some stand out moments like for instance the hanging tree!
But the passage of the " Hanging tree " is really exceptional, just like a scene toward the end (in Bunker):)
But let’s make it clear, that will never equal Interstellar’s soundtrack ! ๐
