That’s what I thought too.
And what a shame Velzquez, like Navarrete before him, has had his efforts ground down and spat out the Remote Control Recycler. This could have been one heck of a score if he had been left to his own devices, as the End Titles on the official album resoundingly proves.
This is an actual trademarked thing? Can you get me the RCP Recycler™? Pretty please with sugar on top?
Listen to ‘The Lion’s Tooth’…very short cue…but it’s beautiful 🙂

Because both decided to use electronics, it doesn’t mean it sounds like RCP. Hercules sounded like a blend between Brian Tyler and Doyle’s Thor, and Velazquez said it was his decision to make an old fashioned score with modern elements, the synths he used are nothing like Zimmer’s. It was more like Debney’s The Scorpion King. Navarette’s Wrath Of The Titans is a fully orchestral and choral score, but it was remixed in post-production with lots of synth loops, but still it was fully orchestral.
Why every composer who decides to use synths and ostinatos is compared with Zimmer like if he invented them? Does a composer who makes a bombastic score gets compared by Williams all the time? No.

And you think Pedro Bromfman’s music in Robocop sounded like Steve Jablonsky’s Transformers pictures… Don’t hate the composers, hate the game.
Sorry, DAK, that’ll have to wait, I’m caught up at the moment transcribing the minutes from last month’s Survivors of RCP group meeting.

What are you on about with the "hate" business?

Williams doesn’t write bombast.
Becuase this is what the studio chose to put together to present the score
Correct. It’s not so much the "Complete Score" as it is the FYC. It’s labeled wrong. Interstellar, TMNT and Age of Extinction got the same abuse. Those are the FYC promos – they’re all missing music, so I’m 100% right when I say that they really aren’t complete.
A bit off topic, are we?
So many thanks!
Much appreciate the link!!! 🙂
About the hating composers crap…. this forum has too much elitists regarding "how to make a real score to be called real music". Instead of praising a composer in going for new tides and experimenting things, or even just because he feels like composing this way, the moment a composer uses electronic sounds, its right away called lazy composers.
Thanks Lockdown for the organized tracklisting. 🙂
And thanks the sharer. 😉
I like this score very much. <3
