I’m looking forward to the Zimmer haters leaving their spider holes and posting their negative comments. More fun than watching the shenanigans of a roomful of drunken chimps.

According to hans-zimmer.com:
"It’s a bit like the thin red line in space, cresendo music, several notes but not too many. Really ambient music." which probably means that it’s mostly synthesizers, violins and not too big on brass. Although, the main theme will be interesting to hear in this film. If it’s anything I hope it’ll be, i’ll be actually inspired by this album(being a huge synthesizer fan myself[and will probably be the first score i’ll ever do if i become a composer]).
…you may want to send composer Hans Zimmer’s relentless organ into deep space.
Still looking forward to it though. Apparently Zimmer started working on the score without any knowledge of the plot or genre, only its themes. So I wouldn’t expect it to sound like Gravity or anything too sci-fi.
You can try to enter the PIN code in. if it works, please feel free to let us know what you think or find a way to record the track. if not, it was worth a shot.

Let’s keep the conversation about the waist please. 😉
In the immortal (or immoral) words from "One Night in Bangkok – which is like the word kumquat, say it and laugh – "I get my kicks above the waistline, sunshine." But then one night in Bangkok does make the hard man humble. And a hard man is good to find.
I’m going to stop now because I can feel the devil standing next to me.

Here’s a beta version of the future soundtrack arranged by me, hope you like it! 🙂
EDIT: It does! (http://www.myplaydirect.com/interstellar-soundtrack)
It really is a dumb decision to release it two weeks later. It’s punishing those of us who watched it on opening weekend. But I guess if it had been released early, I wouldn’t have sought out the release details and ended up buying that stupid $45 light box (why did I do it?).
I don’t know how people can say there are no "themes" in the movie, obviously the Destiny track (heard in the trailer and throughout the film) is very prevalent and beautiful. It was worth watching in the theater just for that opening scene where they’re driving through the cornfield, following the drone, being surrounded by that powerful wall of sound.
That’s partly why I don’t mind listening to OnyX13’s 13-minute loop of it. 😛
I’m steering clear of that Dark One Dark thread in the download links section. It’s getting scary. I hope they don’t follow us here…
There are Hans Zimmer haters?
Since TASM2 came out, i’ve read that people were disappointed.
So far I liked all of his soundtracks, one more one less. A few tracks I didn’t like at all. And these were, you said it, on the TASM2 soundtrack. It’s pretty hard to maintain a Lion King level though 🙂
