I get it if the logic is that:

1) someone gets the sessions but never shares because no one "made a request thread about it"
or
2)…

That’s all I got.

What doesn’t work is:
1) it doesn’t hurt to ask.

"Hurting" is not the subject of your objectivity.
It doesn’t hurt to not post a request before the movie is out, either.
It doesn’t hurt to just wait for someone to share when they get it.
It doesn’t hurt to wait for a year or whatever it takes for it to leak.
It also doesn’t hurt to save up hundreds of dollars so you can be one of the first few to actually possess a copy.

There’s a lot that doesn’t hurt.
But, all of which doesn’t have any effect on how soon something will happen.

I do get a lot are impatient on this forum.
Most likely broke people who never bought a thing in their life and feel entitled to such requests.

There’s also a huge history here about people making such requests.
Nothing you say after initial request will make sense.

There’s no predictive formula to how or when a session will leak.
Simply opening a thread or even asking, hinting or joking (the cheapest way to ask on this forum without directly asking) doesn’t do anything except make those who have it make it more inaccessable by willingly displeasing those who have asked.

And now for the disclaimer:
Just because I talked about it, doesn’t mean I have it.
I’m just pointing out the flaws in asking.
And the general nature of this forum.
You ask, you won’t get.
Someone says something, doesn’t always mean they have them.
Because someone talked more or was intelligible enough for you to comprehend some logic doesn’t mean they have it.
Just means they have logic and are willing to share that.

Since neither the movie or album are released, hence you not even knowing what it sounds like, why do we need to hope the sessions are forthcoming? Because ’tis Zimmer? I hope the sessions for every film score ever are forthcoming. I especially hope for the sessions to Infinity War part 2. Now THERE’S a score we need in full form, just as soon as it is possible to get it leaked. I am waiting, but no sign yet.

Just came back from seeing the film, I literally cannot wait for the soundtrack to release, and I am super glad I ordered the Deluxe Illuminated Star Projection Boxset. 🙂 The score is not anything I’ve heard from Zimmer before. I like this new him. The End Credits cue is beautiful, reminds me of Phillip Glass’ style.

Phillip Glass is never a bad thing. Between Interstellar and Big Hero 6, should be a good weekend at the movies. And I still need to see Nightcrawler.

The End Credits cue I don’t think is heard in the movie, I mean there are variations of it throughout the movie, but the piano is so beautiful. Just my opinion. Stay till the End Credits, it’s only about 3 minutes anyways. It’s like non-stop moving piano notes, sort of like the Organ from ‘Day One Dark’ which I’m pretty sure is a suite..but the piano is way more melodic, and soft. It’s beautiful, trust me.

I don’t recall hearing much ‘RCP’ like sounds, hopefully the soundtrack release stays true to the movies music, and not some stupid crossfading stuff, I hate that. Because I believe that the OST isn’t in chronological order..and it won’t be easy to order if they did that. I think most people will like his score, I really hope the End Credits score cue made it on the official release.

Not to worry, eaglesfan005 will have a chronological list in no time.

Just saw the movie. And it’s fantastic!
Now I understand what felt those lucky ones who saw Space Odyssey and The Abyss on the big screens (even though the final twist is based around a huge conventionality, and the movie contains an actual antagonist who doesn’t make a big deal for the main plot). It’s way better than one dimensional Gravity for sure, the movie acyually can be on pairs with Kubrick’s Odyssey, especially the last hour of it. The visuals are awesome as well as Hoyte Van Hoyte’s camera work, the acting is very solid but still, the main hero of the movie is it’s storytelling.
The music is great, Zimmer finally breaks the line between his thematical writing and sound design. It is minimalistic yet grand, bigger than life music full of mistery and sense of awe. Best HZ score since Inception (at least). Organ FTW!
IMHO, indeed.

P.S.
In case of fan-boyism accusations: I still think that TDKR is a weak movie and Incaption is very good mox of The Matrix, Dark City and Tarkovsky’s Solaris.

I thought the book case scene was the best part of the film!

And btw, I was at that premiere the day of the shooting…. Hate talking about it because of what I lost

It’ll probably take awhile but I’m looking forward to it as well.

Just got back from seeing this. The first 2hr 20min I was enthralled, and then the last 20 minutes the film completely lost me. The biggest problem was that the music got so loud that at times I couldn’t make out the dialogue. Probably a problem with the theater speakers or something. But thanks to my good friend google I’ve caught up on what I couldn’t hear and I think I get it now. Anyways, score worked great in the film, not sure how it will be solo though, since a lot of it seems to just be the same notes over and over and over again. I’m very curious to listen (Though I doubt we’ll have the sessions anytime soon. haha) I think "Coward" is my most anticipated track.

For me, Interstellar has been my favourite film in a while and I didn’t particularly like TDKR and despised MOS. I love the score and it isn’t typical Zimmer, there’s little to no RCP copy and paste typical ostinato shit and more of experimental soundscapes and organs.

PS. I’m hoping for the complete score or sessions to Peter Jackson’s film trilogy of The Silmarillion to leak sometime soon.

According to amazon and walmart websites the regular OST comes out 11/17 (Monday).

The deluxe edition (from iTunes) comes out 11/18 (Tuesday)

And if you pre-ordered/order the star projection deluxe from myplaydirect they are emailing a code for the download on the 18th as well (hoping it’s a download for the 2+ hour version)… they also said they are emailing the code for the Z+ app as well on the 18th

I used the Z+ code for MOS that came with the disc… but it is a ONE TIME ONLY CODE.

This pissed me off so much because my phone had to reset itself and in doing so i lost the tracks because my latest backup did not include the app and its contents.

I contacted WaterTower about it and basically all they said was too bad… I was SoL :/ (they didn’t say that but that’s how you can sum it up… They said it was my fault and that I should’ve backed up properly)

MyPlayDirect has said they will email a code to download the soundtrack on the 18th (tomorrow)

Now this could be for the standard 16 track edition, 23 track digital deluxe edition, or the complete 2+ hour edition… we do not know for sure :/

And it will be a mp3 download… so hopefully it is 320kbps mp3

I recorded it at the premiere… the first few seconds people are clapping (which is cool.. i guess.. but ruins the recording)

And the people behind me lost their keys or something so they were talking and making noise and you can hear them on the recording 🙁

It’d be perfectly acceptable if there were two versions: version A: all music from the theatrical release, and version B: extra non-theatrical music, like recording sessions.

But when they inject an extra version that includes "more" music from theatrical, I loathe the hand-wringing marketing directors who are rubbing their hands together with $$$ in their eyes as they tap the loyal fanbase like mere drug addicts.

If it didn’t leak it wouldn’t be on here. It would specifically be on their site, and that’s all. Which is obviously untrue. It leaked, but not in the way you would consider it. But who cares.

It’s not a leak as in someone from the inside uploaded and shared it like we’ve seen other leaks.

It was available to the public on their site.
Hardly qualifies as a leak where the intent material is meant to be kept away from the public.
It’s not like they went through lengths to try conceal it from the public by forcing visitors to create an account and sign-in (or even restrict user application to "serious enquires" (where names, information and businesses will be followed up and reviewed prior to application approval) only).

It’s not a matter of what you or I think.
It’s how it is.

That’s like saying "if it ain’t broke; don’t fix it" where in most cases, no one claims to be fixing anything.

The FYC is not leaked.
It’s published.

Just not in the format that most people would like it to be.

If it didn’t leak it wouldn’t be on here. It would specifically be on their site, and that’s all. Which is obviously untrue. It leaked, but not in the way you would consider it. But who cares.

So then by your logic when Taylor Swift releases a new song on YouTube, it leaks? Or rather, every single FYC from this year and last (and basically every year) that were posted on their studios’ sites were leaks?

No, I meant what Spark said. When someone downloads her song and then uploads it to a file-sharing website and sends it to their friends, uploads it to a torrent, or posts on an open forum, I would consider that being leaked.

I know that it was posted publicly on their guilds website, but the cues on their website aren’t supposed to be downloaded hence why there aren’t any download buttons for the scores..but people have found a way around that obviously, and uploaded them and shared them here. I would consider it a leak, but whatever, it doesn’t matter to me.

You can download it without any special tools. In Firefox: Right-Click on the played song and select ‘Download Audio" .. simple as that. No special tools needed. 🙂

I would consider that being leaked.

And I detested on what you would consider to be leaked.

The stuff that gets leaked here doesn’t get uploaded to a website for public access.

A cloud storage maybe, intended for staff members of the production being made.

That’s a leak.
Not going to the public library, grabbing a CD and then ripping, tagging, and uploading it.
Going to a site that’s streaming, doesn’t make it a leak.

You’re just throwing words around to suit your own, individual needs.
No matter how much you explain or try to rationalize, you’re always going to go off on tangents that don’t mean anything.
