『ベヨネッタ2 オリジナル サウンドトラック』

Track titles are translated into English. Some tracks are lengthened by 3 loops. (not edited by me, that’s just how they are in the OST)
Also is it just me or does 5-12 sound like its ripping off the theme of FFXV a bit?

Don’t want to end this on a sour note, so I want to say thanks for putting up this massive download, and for all the blood and sweet you poured on translating the tracks.

After the Bayonetta 2 FLAC upload. I’ve run short of space on MEGA so I can’t upload it there sorry. You try using DownThemAll (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/downthemall/) for Firefox to download?
Well, except for the… *ahem* "body" thing, pretty much this. 🙂
You have my utmost appreciation.
To each his own.
FlY ME TO THE MOOOOOOOOON !!!!!
Sorry to hear you don’t like it. You may be interested to know not a original track in the original game had real orchestra or choir. Heh X3
Check both VGMDb sites for the CD credits if you must know X3
Personally, I really enjoyed giving this soundtrack a listen~ Lovely to hear Ueda, Kondoh, and the rest of the gang back in the OST~ <3

You ain’t just whistlin’ Dixie, !!!!! !
Which one is it?
Never mind. BTW, look at the above comment and you’ll see the mirrored links that I’ve posted earlier.
I could swear I looked and saw nothing.
I could swear I looked and saw nothing.
No problem. I wasn’t sure which one either. My apologies for confusing you.
No jumping through hoops, no RAR.
I don’t believe either game ever used a real orchestra. I’m thinking sampled strings. I do know what you mean though some of the EV music which is outsourced BTW have a terrible string sound for example like track 1-04. Though I would say that’s not even close to what makes this soundtrack somewhat lacking. Rei Kondoh did not get a lot of great tracks in, a lot of filler and very few brilliant ones. Only 2 amazing tracks he has on here. ("The Lumen Sage & Temperantia" and "Beyond Time", bonus points to "The Lumen Sage – Climax" for being decent)
It puts a bad taste in my mouth that many tracks were reused from the first game, were even reused on the soundtrack and looped 3 times just to fill in additional space. Also Aesir is one of the weaker tracks but I guess its fitting considering the anti-climax at the game’s end. 🙁
Masami Ueda really shines though and I’m impressed that he composed densely orchestrated tracks up there with Rei Kondoh with "Valor – In Courage and Galantry" at the top for having brilliant song structure.
To each his own.
No need to shit on the man’s opinion.
For that i’ll rile up some feathers myself as I think not only the soundtrack but the game is lacking itself and that I would never pay even a penny to encourage poor business decisions from Platinum.
What are your sources on that bold statement? So far I read everywhere the sales are lackluster due to a very small install base…
I want to play this but I am gonna wait for the remastered edition on the next Nintendo console since I’m gonna skip WiiU this time.
That’s the usual sob story. Poor Platinum Games can’t make Bayonetta and no publisher wanted to fund the game so the glorious shining knights at Nintendo come to save the day. Its PR fluff to excuse their own poor decisions. Hideki Kamiya didn’t tell you that he has a bias for Nintendo over other pubs. That he wants to at the very least make a Starfox game (http://www.nintendolife.com/news/2013/06/hideki_kamiya_still_wants_to_work_on_star_fox) putting Nintendo over others and I believe with his high status in the company this is a big reason for why games like Wonderful 101 and Bayonetta 2 are Nintendo exclusives as well as Nintendo in Japan is heavily respected by game devs over there. I assume they went to a few niche Japanese publishers who couldn’t invest on a niche they couldn’t sell, skipped big ones like Sony and went straight to Nintendo. If they went to Microsoft at the very least they would probably get funding for Bayonetta 2 as well as do the exclusive they are already doing with them which is an even larger risk.
but also assist them with the developing stages in making the game… giving the main development team complete freedom… especially for a rated M sequel.
Platinum had total freedom when they created Bayonetta 1 and pretty much all of their games hence why they’re niche to begin with. From what I’ve seen of the entire game it doesn’t look like they’ve had much freedom as it reeks of self-references ad-nauseum and playing it safe nearly all the way through reusing, rehashing it smells like Nintendo involvement to me. Even the soundtrack like the game follows a template much like how Nintendo does with current games of being safe and similar. (for example "The Legend of Aesir" is this game’s "One of a Kind") Platinum is learning from the masters! 🙂
After the October 24th launch, Bayonetta 2 is the number 1 video game not only in the United States… but also the world. And as of right now, it’s the #1 digital download at the Nintendo eShop for Wii U.
That is technically true for that one week according to VGChartz (http://www.vgchartz.com/weekly/41938/Global/).
1.) However you must consider the inadvertent advertising this game has gotten from large game blogs shining light on the people on social media pissed off due to the game’s exclusivity and rightfully so. With that I do not condone any death threats because they do not highlight the majority of fans pissed and are the result of typical trolling tactics from a few idiots.
2.) Also that Bayonetta 2 is not a new IP from a niche like when the first game came out FIVE YEARS AGO (four in the west) on PS3 & 360. And people are aware that it is a series of quality.
3.) The game also comes with a not shitty port of Bayonetta 1.
4.) It also has the benefit of Nintendo fans who are extremely, extremely loyal (take that either as a positive or not) who start movements like Operation Platinum to buy the game not because many of them support Platinum but that they support Platinum’s figurative acquisition by Nintendo.
5.) It has very generous perfect game review scores from big networks.
And even after all of that benefit it has only sold 1/5 of a million in its first week which is less then both PS3 and 360 for Bayo 1 and thats Japan Sales only. And even that plus that it has legs for the west wasn’t enough for Sega. Do you think those sales are going to be good to break even for both a port of Bayonetta 1 and a sequel. I don’t think so in the slightest. To give some perspective Hell Blade a Ninja Theory game made by only 13 people needs 300,000 sales to break even (http://www.gamercenteronline.net/2014/10/29/ninja-theory-can-recoup-hellblade-budget-with-300000-sales/). Platinum has to make enough to recoup losses from Wonderful 101, a port of a game, and Bayonetta 2 which is all made by a pretty large team of devs. The only one who wins is Sega because they get a mostly paid off game and they can license a soundtrack they didn’t pay the music for.
Platinum has only themselves to blame for having niche franchises fail on a system where the install base buys games purely for top first party games hence Mario, Zelda and the like.
“I think I have discussed this many times before but here goes… First of all, we [Platinum Games] are developers and receive support from publishers by making games that they request or suggest.”
“As for Bayonetta, we developed the game after signing a deal with SEGA. Later it was decided to also develop the sequel, so we started working on Bayonetta 2.”
“When development had progressed to a certain degree, in SEGA’s situation it turned into “This isn’t a good plan”, so development halted temporarily.”
“Without funding we didn’t have the possibility to continue development, but we wanted to get this partially developed Bayonetta 2 available to the public one way or another. So we offered it to various publishers, but as it is a big title, we couldn’t find a partner company. Finally, Bayonetta 2 was about to get terminated completely, when…”
“Nintendo came in and lent a hand and we were able to restart the development we so desired. Finally the game was released last week, so in five years, we were able to make Bayonetta 2 available to the public.”
“Knowing those circumstances, if someone is still angry for heading towards Nintendo, I wonder what’s the reason for that, wouldn’t you tell me in a way that is easy to understand?”
“As I have said earlier, if you want Bayonetta 2 on PS4 or Xbox One, how about trying to ask Nintendo… If Nintendo doesn’t say yes, it’s not going to happen… While you’re at it, try asking for Mario and Zelda too…”

VGChartz.com and Nintendo eShop via Wii U. The other video game media always wants to focus on negative news on Nintendo (games and systems). Let’s hope that Nintendo and Platinum Games make a Bayonetta 3 for either Wii U or a new Nintendo home/portable system 4 or 5 years from now. BTW, did you know that Kamiya have wanted to make a Bayonetta spin-off for Nintendo 3DS?
For those of you (except licenturion) who wants to know why is Bayonetta 2 a seller on Wii U, click on this link, take a deeper look at this clip and understand it.
YES! deeper is always better!~
I did NOT say that, crab!
Who were these publishers? Were they big names who could afford to publish such as Microsoft? Sony? Konami?
"but as it is a big title, we couldn’t find a partner company.”
I find this comment very interesting. So does that mean they did not look for publishers that could afford to fund such a big title? Did they at least try to find publishers who would be able to afford the budget for multiplatform development?
“Finally, Bayonetta 2 was about to get terminated completely, when…

Yup same story already heard.

Player base for Bayonetta exists with other consoles brands though its not an issue if having a future game on a Nintendo platform did not result in whatever exclusivity Nintendo has with it. Also the entire story isn’t revealed and Kamiya has bias for Nintendo so his word is compromised. Maybe if he detailed at least the publishers for the game and proved that it was entirely unfeasible for this game to exist at all in reality without the leaving out parts many would be more forgiving most certainly.
“As I have said earlier, if you want Bayonetta 2 on PS4 or Xbox One, how about trying to ask Nintendo… If Nintendo doesn’t say yes, it’s not going to happen… While you’re at it, try asking for Mario and Zelda too…”
Such a man! His empathy towards fans who just want to play his game on consoles more logical to release on is much appreciated. *manly tears*

It’s for the hits and Nintendo isn’t the only one who gets picked on Microsoft this gen does as well to. Fan rage is great fodder for views. They also push flamebait for Bayonetta at all ends of the spectrum as well.

I’m interested in seeing the sales for the week after. For the small install base on the Wii U it does show dedication of Operation Platinum with the added benefits I listed before. Will it be good enough to pay off for both Bayo2 and Bayo1 port especially for a big budget title?

I hope not. Not out of contempt for Platinum but so they may learn their lesson as a third party that making games for all is a benefit for them. More people can experience the overlooked amazing games with very poor stories that they come out with. Also Kamiya to never pen a story in his life ever again to the benefit of all. 🙂

Can not UNSEE!

Then why the hell are you sharing this soundtrack for if you really hate Kamiya and Nintendo? This isn’t Dobis P.R. bullshit… this is reality.
I don’t hate Nintendo for Bayonetta 2 exclusivity, its business for them and I get why they’re doing it. Kamiya is just a big troll who can do some good work when he’s far, far away from social media, story writing, character design… ummm well he knows how to pace a game very well.
Also Masami Ueda and Rei Kondoh’s 2 tracks deserve some lovin’!
Also Masami Ueda and Rei Kondoh’s 2 tracks deserve some lovin’!
The same goes to Masahiro Sakurai for trolling… especially Super Smash Bros. However, !!!!!… you’re forgiven.
I just listened to a couple of tracks only so far… but the whole thing seems to be a huge bomb !
Thanks again… and again… and again again 🙂
