The "revue" is a kind of theatrical musical comedy, inspired from the current socio-political situation. This kind of light and amusing show, is very popular in Greece and consists of skits, songs and dances usually satirizing events, trends and personalities. During the period 1930-1970, the theatrical revue was the source of many songs, that expressed the feelings of the people and became very popular.
