Unlike Digital Trip, however, these albums are mostly jazz-like.
Just like the Digital Trip series, unfortunately, these albums seem to be hard to find. Luckily, a YT user by the name of KawaiHiromi has a few Jam Trip albums uploaded on his channel 🙂
For now, I will post the link to his channel and his videos. When I have time, I’ll edit the videos and separate each song as an MP3 file to put in separate folders (each folder is a separate album).

(EDIT: 4/18/16)
Unfortunately most of these links have been blocked by Columbia unless you use a VPN to access it.
and you are a bit wrong. These were not remixes of old songs. Some of them are actually original works regarding a manga or novel.
Digital Trips: Synthesizer only arranges
Jam Trip: Jazz & Blues styles
Roman Trip: Symphonic works
Never knew there was a Roman Trip series…seems interesting 🙂
I only know of Roman Trips.
GUIN SAGA (CX-7121)

通りすがりのレイディ (CX-7149)

キマイラ吼3(CX-7291)
そして、星へ行く船 (CX-7312)
Choujin Locke Ronwal no Arashi (CX-7508)
These are the ones I know off.
I think Guin Saga was released in CD in the animex series.
Why? because it makes nostalgia, or the experience? or just both? 🙂
Would it be ok if you could post it here and share it with all of us?
I think it would be a great idea if others can kindly contribute to this thread (even if it’s the tiniest thing related to Jam Trip) just like everyone else did in the Digital Trip thread C:

Sorry request to release Theo o la Batte de la Victoire (Touch) – Jam Trip 1800 mp3 file
If you’d be so kind to post it, that’d be absolutely great. The version that unicorne posted is sadly not only .wma but also not lackluster in quality.

Anyways, here’s a copy of Jam Trip Macross in 320 kbps:
https://mega.nz/#F!PwMmxRYL!_sv4OD0SITKztZ1pLl7L_w
(not my rip)

Jam Trip Urusei Yatsura (Vol. 2)
Ripped by MatteoL from Discogs and edited by me
FLAC/MP3: https://mega.nz/#F!3igw1ByI!-P6PlAPhptDFDwDqPnyEyw
I’m proud to announce that MatteoL, a Discogs user, kindly gave me all 4 Jam Trip Urusei Yatsura albums for me to edit!
He’s given me permission to post them online, but before I do so I’m editing these albums to make them sound
even better (remove clicks/pops, reducing the volume of the ground noise, etc.). I was going to edit Vol. 4 right
now, but the copy he gave me is too dirty for me to guarantee that editing it won’t result in a bit of quality loss…
I suggested that he clean the record with wood glue; I’m still awaiting a response from him to see if he’s done it yet.
In the meantime, I’ll be editing Vol. 1 next.
It takes time, but you could try taking a picture of it and cropping it afterwards. It’s what I did with the Terrahawks Japanese LP OST

Jam Trip Dream Soldier Wingman (1984)
Ripped by me
FLAC/MP3: https://mega.nz/#F!TjJzHbRB!lD01l3gx9XPTdcXT5BbjCg
Jam Trip Heavy Metal L-Gaim (1984)
Ripped from my own LP copy
FLAC/MP3: https://mega.nz/#F!auxViZLD!HWA7cyZykeuUHH5bUR5dzw
The previous version that was uploaded here was taken from a YT rip, and while the quality isn’t horrible
or anything, it did have some issues: audio skipping, semi-low quality, etc. Luckily I found a copy of this album
for a cheap price at Yahoo Auctions JP a few months ago (I apologize for taking this long on editing it but I was busy
with other things!) and decided to rip it myself to replace the YT version.
Enjoy 🙂

Jam Trip Urusei Yatsura (Vol. 2)

What a wonderful sound and awesome Lp.
I’m waiting for next volume

Jam Trip The Urashiman
MP3/FLAC: https://mega.nz/#F!nnwhXSCI!kkomS8q_RJoyw85kJrL67Q
Back in 2014, Columbia remastered 2 Jam Trip albums and released them digitally; they were Urusei Yatsura Vol. 1
and Urashiman. A kind FFShrine user (who wishes to remain anonymous) bought the Urashiman album, shared it with
me and gave me permission to do what I want with it—so I decided to share it with you all!
The files he shared with me are actually in 24bit .wav format—I didn’t share them here because the files are quite big
(1.12 GB in total), but if you guys still want it anyway I’ll upload it later.
Enjoy!

2014.12.10 | COKM-32800 | JAM TRIP Urashiman (24bit/96kHz)
Wasn’t aware of the Macross release. But why remaster 2 albums that have already been released on CD by Columbia themselves?
but if you guys still want it anyway I’ll upload it later.
…
+1
Thanks!

JAM TRIP Lupin the Third MANHATTAN JOKE [CX-7241]

I have found this sell from Otokichi Premium:

Jam Trip Urusei Yatsura (Vol. 3)
Ripped by MatteoL from Discogs and edited by me
https://mega.nz/#F!WyBFQK4B!QCxLr5zfKzocWbDalgaYhA
This one took a while to edit because MatteoL was busy IRL and didn’t have time to clean the record with wood
glue, but here it is! This is the last Jam Trip Urusei Yatsura that was performed by Takeshi Inomata & Sound Limited;
Vol. 4 was performed by some other group, which I’ll get to later as soon as I’m done editing it in the near future.
Enjoy!
JAM TRIP Lupin III [Nippon Columbia-Denon 1984, 35C35-7155] (http://vgmdb.net/album/21210) EAC-FLAC-CUE-LOG 1st CD print DOWNLOAD & ENJOY (https://mega.nz/#!8JcCmSZJ!QYIoHfNPmt2lCQ1t5ABOo0ACvua3z4tELIWE8uYbNiA)
(and my amplifier acting retarded by adding unwanted abnormalities into my recordings), those won’t be uploaded until
later. Sorry!
In the meantime, though…have this Jam Trip album 🙂
Jam Trip Urusei Yatsura (Vol. 4)
Ripped by MatteoL from Discogs and edited by me
MP3/FLAC: https://mega.nz/#F!HiJDBASZ!Nxn-yQPBrbEH8g3JNNziug
At last, the final Jam Trip Urusei Yatsura album has been posted! Took me months (as usual) to edit this; half the reason
because it was so damn dirty, and the other reason…well, the music in this album isn’t bad, but it didn’t really motivate me
enough to finish it. I’ll get to that in a bit
Anyways, for those of you who don’t know, Takeshi Inomata unfortunately didn’t return to work on Vol. 4, but rather, some band
called "馬詰のりあき & The Scratch" performed the music for this album. VGMdb has a list of members that are in this band,
but almost every member in the band doesn’t appear to be that famous. I tried searching their names up on the internet to see if
they worked on anything else, but apparently this album was the only one they performed…
As I mentioned earlier, the music isn’t bad. In fact, considering how the previous 3 albums were mostly nothing but jazz, I thought
it was refreshing to see this band take a new approach to the music by performing it in a funky manner.
My only issue? Some of the songs are too long. Like, really long. It was for that reason that I kinda lost motivation to finish it,
but I knew I had to finish it at some point considering the fact that I had the original recordings given to me by MatteoL for a
while now…
Well, that’s enough rambling for now. Enjoy the album and have a merry christmas!!

Jam Trip Sasuga no Sarutobi (http://vgmdb.net/album/59059)
https://mega.nz/#F!33R3ETKQ!XQy8hUTMuHAjWehFvMiLsg
Ripped by Discogs user "Bumpsie." Special thanks to FFShrine user "ahqhdahtnf" for fixing some ghosting that
was present on the first track.
I was originally going to try and digitally clean this, but I decided to release it as it was after realizing that Side 2
would take an incredibly long time to clean…the clicks aren’t that bad, actually. It sounds good enough as it is
Enjoy!
Thank you Marty for all your hard work on this. Believe me, it is not unnoticeable. 😉 You and those kind souls on discogs.
So far we are missing:
From 1983
CX-7131 | Stop!! Hibari-kun! JAM TRIP
CX-7136 | Miyuki JAM TRIP
CX-7138 | The Kabocha Wine JAM TRIP
from 1984
CX-7153 | Igano Kabamaru JAM TRIP
CX-7201 | GU-GU GANMO JAM TRIP
the red ones, are my … let say, most curious to listen, because I love the original soundtracks. ^_^
idk who ripped Macross but I ripped Wingman straight from my own LP copy. it’s on this thread
Miyuki and Gu Gu Ganmo are also on YT but Ganmo’s blocked in the U.S.
The other 2 i can rip from those videos and upload the audio file for you to work on. Yes?
They are not blocked here
I just added the digital release of Jam Trip Urusey Yatsura on vgmdb
http://vgmdb.net/album/69209
It has one new track. alternated take of track 10.

I already downloaded those two a long time ago (and before the Ganmo vid got copyright blocked), but if you still want to post them here that’d be great. I’d do it myself but unfortunately I’m a bit lazy to do it rn lol
I’m really curious to listen to that digital release of JT Urusei Yatsura Vol. 1…I didn’t even know there was an alternate take on one of the tracks! Kinda makes me curious to know if there were alternate takes for some of the other songs in the other JY UY albums
time for a marathon of Jam trip this week. My first Jam Trip was Touch and Captain Tsubasa, I remember that Captain Tsubasa sucked balls and Touch! was awesome. BUT Now I am listening in order of release, and be sure that I will write my thoughts on each of them here. ^_^
BUT…. I dont agree with you on UY vol4. I have not listen all UY jams.. but vol4… I did listen first, and I think it might be my favorite of all. You complained about long tracks. I dont get why? because it was hard for you to work on those? I can understand that. Music wise, those long tracks are actually great pieces.
You disliked Captain Tsusbasa? But that was actually a great album…Hidefumi Toki’s a pretty good jazz artist. But hey, each to his/her own.

Yeah, the reason that I bolded out above is the reason why I kinda complained about it. The tracks themselves are really cool to listen to but it was such a hassle for me to edit them since it took a long time… >_>
My take on Jam Trip: Captain Tsubasa, I’m actually a fan of Hidefumi Toki’s works but this is definitely one of his weaker ones. It’s not bad but not great either. The arrangements on it are just weak and underwhelming imo.
Now Digital Trip: Captain Tsubasa… I think that one is fucking amazing
Are you still posting Jam Trip Stop!! Hibari-kun here? Would love to listen to the remaining Jam Trip albums…
