No, he got fired after almost everything was ready to go, about a month or two (don’t count me on the timeframe) before the release of the game. He got fired, so I assume that’s the reason why we haven’t heard anything on an official release yet (which I desperately need).

This is a bit of a random question about the game rather than the music itself, and I hope someone can find out for me.
This is my most anticipated game of the year, and I fully expect to buy it, and I can with funds that I will be getting from a website, however the only way I can get it is by ordering a copy from Europe. Germany, to be exact. Now, I know the PS3/4 are both region free, but the question I had is: Will the German version of the game have English audio/subtitles? It’s kind of a make or break for me, and since I don’t do any international purchasing, I wanted to make sure before stepping my feet in.

Back to topic, cannot wait for the official release of the soundtrack. But until then, this will do nicely. It’ll also be nice to see what songs aren’t present in the official release.

Thanks for both of your replies. I was going to purchase it from the Amazon store, so the real deal. I ask only because I got Amazon EUR vouchers. Which obviously cannot be used in Canada (where I live) or USA. However, maybe it’s possible to use them in another country in Europe, that is predominantly English speaking? Might be worth a shot.

I own a German copy of the game and I can confirm you can play it in English.

I’m currently looking for the tracks that play during these two in-game cinematics (The first one specifically, of the Guardian’s ship’s journey to the Tower from the Cosmodrone, as the second one’s available in the Official OST):

If you don’t have both the game and the expansion then it will be awhile, although it’s in a compatibility pack so if you have Destiny you’ll have it on your xbox harddrive

For some obscure reason, it is not in the music files from the rip (I have also done a rip) and could not find it either.. However, it is the first track of the OST ‘The Traveler’

The Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3 versions just leaked. So I will take a look. Been out of the loop on Destiny recently. So you guys will have to fill me in what I have missed in terms of music.

Mostly a few chilling cues & perhaps a frightful theme from Destiny: The Dark Below and a slightly more substantial addition in Destiny: The House of Wolves. Slightly. Although, I’ve only owned the expansions for little more than a week at most, so perhaps anyone with more playtime can paint a much more clearer picture as to what’s new if the incoming soundtrack release doesn’t (A friend of mine was banging on about this wee little beauty a few moments ago: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a0NB95Vhhrs)

Music for Destiny: The Taken King has already arrived with the Year Two Update, with the title menu entirely replaced by the logo for the expansion with some newer, very ominous themes getting in front of the usual queue of tranquil & serene music in the Title Screen & Orbit menus.
