Enjoy!
I’m trying to get most of the film scores for Sean Connery movies for a career retrospect project I’m working on. I have a lot already but am missing some. If anyone has these to share it would be much appreciated:
The Presidio (1988)
The Man Who Would Be King (1975)
Shalako (1968) – I have an album rip of this, but there are WAY to many cracks and pops to even be able to clean it up
🙂
I think I saw Shalako somewhere, if I find it I will get back to you.
BTW, would you have a good copy of ‘The Anderson tapes’?
Yes, I was able to find one that hadn’t been played yet. I had it transferred and then cleaned up what few pops and clicks I could using Adobe Audition. It did come out well and I was pleased.

Thank you!

Excellent share Nashwolverine, good film too. I have been waiting for it’s Bluray release although I don’t expect it to make it. No DVD as well. In the film Connery actually looks like an Arab, good work by all concerned.

The Next Man is on DVD as I have it. You can also find it under "The Arab Conspiracy" title sometimes. Shalako would be great if you can find it. Score was very good, but all the scratches make it not good for my project. As for the Anderson Tapes, no score exists as far as I know, but I did find the title track on a Quincy Jones CD. It’s on "I Heard that!!" from 1976, "Smackwater Jack" from 2005 and "The Musical Biography of Quincy Jones" from 2001.
The project I am doing is a complete audio history of Sean Connery’s entire career. It will include one or two pieces from the soundtrack if it exists, a sound clip or two (usually involving Connery) from the movie (or show) and it will be in chronological order. I have just about every movie he has been in and I’m close to having most of the known scores but I still have some work to do.

🙂
Spoiler alert!
I’ll add another spoiler…his Thunderball nemesis Largo, I mean Adolpho Celi, dies in this one as well. 🙂

Ok, so on the topic of my Connery project, I just wanted to find out if anyone knows of scores for the following films. I’m pretty sure most of these don’t but I wanted to check:
A Night To Remember (1958)
Darby O’Gill and the Little People (1959)
Tarzan’s Greatest Adventure (1959)
A Fine Madness (1966)
Zardoz (1974)
Wrong Is Right (1982)
Five Days One Summer (1982) – heard this could exist – Elmer Bernstein
A Good Man In Africa (1994)

You have been a huge help. Thanks very much for pointing me in the right direction. Thanks again!

I located an unplayed LP of Shalako so I’ll give it another go at a transfer without a lot of pops and cracks. If it comes out ok, I’ll definitely share it!
It’s a DVD rip, quite good though.
I really appreciate.
Thank you so much.
