Right, I know this is the most inappropriate place for these kinds of requests, but my posts on specialised forums all ended in ‘this is copyright infringement!’ discussions, and seeing as there are lots of film score lovers out here, I thought I’d just give it a go here.

Rumour has it that converting digital sheet music to MIDI files is the easiest job in the world. I’ve read all about programmes such as PhotoScore which would supposedly be able to convert sheet music nearly perfectly to MIDI, but somehow my results are always disastrous, I keep ending up with files containing sounds of twittering birds and random notes.

I would love to have the sheet music for HP and the Deathly Hallows in MIDI so I could study the complex structure more closely. None of the music has been handwritten, so if I have to believe all those people online, converting cue by cue to MIDI should be a piece of cake.

Is there anyone here who has ever tried this or would like to give it a try? Public or private replies would be much appreciated.
