I have the Audeze LCD2 and kind of disappointed with them; the sound is rather harsh and not pleasant with the Dacport LX and WA6SE headphone amp. Using the headphone amp as a preamp with the same DAC to my Logitech surround speakers sounds amazing though; really tight, smooth, PRAT-like sound with great bass. Anyone have a headphone setup they would recommend for "pleasant" listening (perhaps sacrificing accuracy if needed) that covers the wide range of VGM genres?

I think a first basic question would be how much are you willing to spend?

up to $900 or so. Something to replace the LCD2’s.
