Lovers of Disney’s movie Frozen will be in for a treat come 2016.

Walt Disney World announced on Friday a ride based on the popular animated movie will be opening at Epcot in 2016.

The ride will be in the Norway pavilion of the park. It will replace the Maelstrom ride, which opened in 1988. The last day park goers can enjoy that ride will be Oct. 5.

In a Disney Parks Blog, Tom Staggs, chairman of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, said the new ride "will take our guests to Arendelle and immerse them in many of their favorite moments and music from the film."

It will also include a location where Anna and Elsa can meet park guests.

That’s really awesome. Too bad they can’t build a ride in eight weeks because we’re going in November and 6.5 year old daughter would be in heaven on a Frozen ride. That being said, there’s nothing stopping us from going again in 2016. 😉

When a CD is posted and we download it and notice that it doesn’t contain all the artwork, let’s everyone look for it or check our drives to see if we have it and then post it so as these titles become available, we can make them as complete as possible with the help of EVERYONE. I know many of us don’t have all the artwork, but maybe someone else does. So lets pull all our resources together to make this the best thread ever! Who is with me? I been more than 7 months haven’t login to this forum, just been back recently. I have missed a ton of Soundtrack. Those soundtrack I download from somewhere else. If someone not yet posted before then let me know I will posted the certain soundtrack. If someone already posted, then no need to posted TWICE.

It was released back in the early 80’s on laser disc in Hong Kong (in English) and in Japan (in English with Japanese subtitles), also on VHS in England. If you search the internet you can often find copies for sale that have been converted from the Hong Kong Laser Disc to DVD.

I personally ripped that one myself from a friends CD using EAC and if it doesn’t measure up then the problem would go back to the original source and there was no Mal intent on my part by ripping and sharing it.

The Walt Disney Studios has announced that Oakes Fegely and Oona Laurence will star in a modern reinvention of Pete???s Dragon. Though the Shanghai Disney Resort is still under construction, its Enchanted Storybook Castle has already been lauded for its innovative design and technology practices. Walt Disney Imagineering was given the American Institute of Architects??? Technology in Architectural Practice Award for its successful implementation of Building Information Modeling, which uses three-dimensional design and provides a virtual representation of the actual building to be built. The photo above offers a two-dimensional look at the castle that will stand at Shanghai Disneyland.

I suspect that because it was recorded in the 70s, probably in mono even that they just clamped that range. I have another version of a track of pete’s dragon and while the range goes all the way to 22, the visible audio doesn’t go past 15.

say what? .m4a is a container and not a codec like flac. m4a can contain aac and apple lossless. so please refer to proper naming. it’s aac or alac, but not m4a.

I want to say the link is one I uploaded several months ago but just forgot to post it. If it’s not the correct album I apologize I will upload the correct one if it happens to be something totally different. This is the 2005 version of the album that I had a physical copy of. Seems like someone decided to take this out of print 4 album set and repackage it. I own the actual vinyl of "The Magical Music of Walt Disney" and have listened to the postings you generously shared with us SuperSoaker. The edits, sound quality, and order of songs is completely identical. Pretty sure this is a match. The only thing that is a bit disappointing is that they did not include anything from volume 4 of the set, which is all stuff from Mary Poppins, Pete’s Dragon, and the Magic Kingdoms.

Any info on the source of this? I can’t say I heard of an single release of this track. Is it safe to guess it was pulled from one of the Haunted Mansion CDs and given it’s own cover?

FYI – Untouched…. what do I mean by that???? you might think to yourself….

When I add "Untouched", that means that I know where the original content came from….actual studio release, first hand knowledge, purchase. Also, you will also note that untouched is not edited any way. No volume leveling. No clicking or hissing removals. No silence removal. All tracks are the PURE track as released by the manufacturer. If I found the file from the net, and re-post it, then it will NOT have this distinguished as I do not know the source or anything about it.

I meant no disrespect and greatly appreciate the post, and doubted that you yourself pulled a random track and posted it as a disc. I actually did Google it, the title just pulled up a ton of references to tracks on earlier releases and assorted Haunted Mansion information, and doing an image search on the cover returned 0 matches. Having spent a fair amount of time floating around different Disney music communities (going back to the heyday of alt.binaries.multimedia.disney.parks) I have seen alot of "new releases" that are actually several levels removed from someone who compiled their own track listing and now passed off as real discs (not maliciously), or tracks that are seriously improperly tagged (things labeled as DLR HM but are from Phantom Manor). I have also seen alot of tracks that were leaked by people with really good sources at WDI/WDW/DLR/etc. Since nothing definitive came up for this when I did search, I was simply curious as to provenance.

Grim Grinning Ghosts sounds like the same edit as the version from the official park albums over the past few years.

This is what I meant by implying it came from another album. Seemed strange for them to suddenly unearth a new copy of this 40+ years after it originated.

Don’t get pissed, We are all trying to learn and contribute here, you had a good question, that’s how I learn and find out stuff is by reading other peoples questions and the answers they get.

One thing I read on this forum because from time to time these same questions pop up in other treads is that AAC – Advanced Audio Coding is way better than mp3. It is perceived as an proprietary Apple format
because everything you get on iTunes is in AAC format which is why in the case of this thread it is acceptable, being commercially the best you can hope to get. Flac format is open source and is free to all which is
one of the reasons iTunes doesn’t use it. The mos important to me is the fact that Both AAC and FLAC have no set bit rates. So depending on who ripped it you get different outcomes. Just because it’s flac doesn’t
mean it’s the best. If the bit rate is set to low, it can sound just as bad as MP3.

I wasn’t aware that "COMPLETE SCORES" were all instrumental of a movie. […] If any of you have these "SCORES" in your drive or have resources to them, could you please start posting these gems or send me a link to where I might find one or many?

It’s important to me that the file-format is lossless. If possible, a bit-perfect copy. FLAC, APE, ALAC… Who cares?
And if a release is only available in AAC, this is fine with me, because it is better than nothing and I am grateful for the offer.

Let’s suppose that I have an original CD, which I bought at the store, so perfect LOSSLESS. Now, I could do:

CD –> EAC/XLD –> WAV
CD –> EAC/XLD –> FLAC
CD –> EAC/XLD –> ALAC
CD –> EAC/XLD –> AAC
CD –> EAC/XLD –> MP3

Now let’s talk about AUDIO QUALITY and SIZE:

FLAC = WAV in quality, but FLAC size is smaller. So FLAC is better than WAV.
ALAC = WAV in quality, but ALAC size is smaller. So ALAC is better than WAV.
AAC < WAV in quality, but AAC size is smaller. So ALAC is better than WAV? Yes but only if you have a poor audio source or headphones.
MP3 < WAV in quality, but MP3 size is smaller. So MP3 is better than WAV? Yes but only if you have a poor audio source or headphones.
AAC > MP3 in quality, but only if bitrate are similar (e.g. 192 kbps AAC, 192 kbps MP3). So AAC is better than MP3.

Which are poor audio sources? These: iPod/iPhone (or Samsung, or else) smartphones, PC/NB analog out, and other similarly priced items.
Which are poor headphones? These: iPod/iPhone (or Samsung, or else), Skullcandy, cheap chinese and other similarly priced items.

Which are good audio sources? These: PC/CD Player SPDIF/COAX out + DAC + Amp.
Which are good headphones? These: Sennheiser Momentum, AKG K-701…

If you have a decent audio source and headphone, then I bet you’ll notice the difference between, say, FLAC and MP3, like going from night to day. You’ll even hear the differences between CD and Vinyl, too! This is why I always like to share in FLAC only, if I have the original lossless files! 😉

Another note: you could find FLAC/ALAC/LOSSLESS files with "strange" bitrates (whilst WAV @44.1 kHz 16 bit stereo is always around 1411 kbps), but those will always be better than MP3/AAC/LOSSY, because you do not lose information with a LOSSLESS codec! For example, if I compress a document with Winrar, the size is smaller than original file, but I can extract the archive obtaining the exact original file, because compression with Winrar doesn’t involve loss if information!

Here is a final rank in terms of audio quality, from best to worst:

1) WAV, FLAC, ALAC
2) AAC
3) MP3

A final warning, you can do this:

FLAC <-> WAV <-> ALAC

(from LOSSLESS to LOSSLESS is OK!)

But NEVER do this:

MP3 -> AAC
AAC -> MP3
MP3 -> WAV/FLAC/ALAC

(from LOSSY to LOSSY/LOSSLESS is VERY bad!)

I Believe he did it this way so that you must explore the thread and experience what it has to offer. It also keeps like he said trackers from finding it and getting his links taken down. I for one enjoyed going through all the pages. This is all my opinion of course.

Well shit, I didn’t know to look through the entire thread until earlier today, by which time I had been searching for the soundtrack for several days! It seems like a dick move to everyone (no offense) and is a real inconvenience.
Of course, I’m just grumpy over having been here several times and not knowing that what I was looking for was right here the whole time. I’m just ranting. Honestly, I really don’t know how to work the environment that I’ve been posting to for years. I started out trolling around to find my Disney music and had nothing to offer like most of you. As I searched the internet over the years, I found many goodies and also a lot of dung ( i.e. SHIT ) LOL. Then I had many titles, enough to be able to start sharing because nobody had some of them, so I had something to offer. I started out on William Taylor’s thread and that was how it worked there ( everyone posted items on one continuous thread ). I thought that is how it works and also, it was awesome because I wouldn’t have known to even search for most of the titles I found there being shared! This was a good thing for me especially when I started out looking for the Disney music. So, here we are today…. similar look and feel to what I experienced and thought was a good idea.

I spend a lot of time, more than you could ever imagine….seriously! Gathering all this and purchasing it, and editing all the metadata. I shouldn’t say editing, because I am literally creating it for the FLAC since there isn’t all kinds of utilities and programs available to do this to FLAC formats like there is for MP3 formats. Searching for art is a bitch, seems Google has caved to studios requests to hide these type of things because they are typically found with links to file sharing and you know they don’t like that. I haven’t figured out a way to use specific "search terms" to find art, for example, it is very difficult to find a back cover. If I search for XYZ back cover, I won’t find anything or search for XYZ CD art, I won’t find anything. I’ll have to click into every entry I find in searches to "stumble" across a website that might have more art or all the art. I started putting everything I find onto MusicBrainz so everyone could benefit from all my work and endless hours of searching.

If anyone has come up with ways of searching that find the Back Cover , CD art , etc… please let me know how to search for these, please, that is why I’ve asked you all to share what you have with me, but only one person has done so. It’s a real strain to find these things so any help is greatly appreciated.

It makes no sense. You upload stuff but don’t include the names of the soundtracks you upload so people like me who are looking for said soundtrack(s) will NEVER find it/them. Apparently you spend a lot of time sending personal messages to people to let them know you have something. You find people who are looking for things you own: which can easily be avoided completely by just naming your darn uploads! Lol! This is just hilarious. You work yourself so hard for no reason. I found it in flac before I even KNEW what flacs were. I converted them to mp3’s back then and listened to those.. I was so innocent XD

Buy them individually if you want the physical CDs, I bought that set when I was in Florida a few years back and it was nowhere near that expensive! If I can dig it out I’ll try and upload it, I’ve not seen it in a couple of years since I left home!

One the plus side, though: Stranger Tides was directed by Rob Marshall, a musical director that barely knows how to film a musical (I’m sure he’s super nice.) Dead Men is going to be directed by Ronning and Sandberg, who directed the 2014 Kon Tiki, which was an excellently done film with a really delicate touch on grandiose special effects. It’s on Netflix now, I highly recommend it if you want to get a little trust back.

I was looking at the track listings and noticed some new tracks:
Seize the Future 1:19, Bright Little Star 2:03, Fantasy in the Sky 7:37, and lastly, an extended version on Legacy that is instead titled Epcot Entrance Medley. This track is given the title "Legacy" in later releases and is only at 1:43, while the one on this CD is at 3:24. Can these tracks be found elsewhere?
If not, what do you guys think about buying this together to get a rip in FLAC, just for those who purchase it?

Largely, most people contributing are using the wrong formats for a supposedly "lossless" thread.

This release is M4A, yes. But inside the m4a container is the lossy AAC format.

It’s mentioned several times, but by now that m4a is a container.
Inside is either lossless ALAC or lossy AAC.
The software you’re using needs to be configured to either one.
if you just leave it as defaults, or not touch the settings, then the default is to use lossy AAC.

Which is what most people asking for lossless ups are asking about.

I’m largely suspecting you’re not 100% familiar with your software as you think you are.
You’d be able to make ALAC M4A if you were.

Which leaves only hash checking the CRC/MD5 or other hash check values against a list of known hash check values.

Unfortunately, I was unable to win the auction that I posted because someone outbid me when there was 2 seconds left.
Fortunately, this one is almost the same.
I know that Most of the "Official Albums" from the Disney parks have almost the exact same tracks on them. I like to collect them.
Some albums (including the one I just purchased) include just one or two unique track(s) which can be aggravating.

Many areas of Walt Disney World Resort spent months of 2014 and early 2015 under construction.

Construction of some kind is ongoing at all four theme parks and Downtown Disney, which is undergoing its largest expansion in history as it transforms into Disney Springs.

Areas of Disney Springs, like The Landing, are nearly complete, while three other "neighborhoods" which make up the new theme will be complete in 2016. The expansion will double the shopping, dining and entertainment experiences at Downtown Disney.

Each of Disney’s four theme parks have new attractions or expansions in the works, the largest of which is the "Avatar"-themed expansion coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom in 2017.

Here’s what’s on tap for Walt Disney World in the coming months and years.

Coming to Walt Disney

Walt Disney Imagineering is teaming up with filmmaker James Cameron and Lightstorm Entertainment to bring Pandora _ the moon featured in "Avatar" _ to life. The land will be part of the largest expansion of Animal Kingdom since the park opened in 1998.

According to reports, the land will feature a 3D ride where guests ride on the backs of banshees, along with a boat-based attraction. The land will feature Pandora’s floating mountains and bioluminescent plants, along with shopping and dining options.

The expansion is part of Animal Kingdom’s transition into a true full-day park. The park plans to extend hours on par with the other three parks and will debut a nighttime spectacular event called "Rivers of Light."

Finally, Animal Kingdom is rumored to be getting a Starbucks just outside the entrance to the Africa section in the former location of Creature Comforts. Epcot, Hollywood Studios and Magic Kingdom already have Starbucks locations.

Coming to Epcot

"Frozen Ever After" is heading to Epcot, replacing Maelstrom at the Norway pavilion.

The slow boat ride attraction will feature scenes from the hit animated movie, including one where Elsa sings "Let It Go."

Disney plans to open the new attraction in early 2016.

Soarin’, one of the park’s most popular attractions, will receive an additional theater and upgrades to its screen and projection system.

The attraction debuted at Epcot 10 years ago and still routinely sees wait times exceeding 90 minutes.

Coming to Hollywood Studios

Like Soarin’, one of the most popular attractions at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is getting an update and expansion.

Toy Story Midway Mania, a 3-D ride and arcade game combo attraction, will be getting an additional track in an effort to shorten wait times.

The park recently debuted updates to The Great Movie Ride and is bringing back its "Frozen Summer Fun Live!" event that features a "Frozen"-themed parade, sing-along and more.

The park has been in a transition for a while now. The "American Idol" Experience closed last year and the sorcerer’s hat centerpiece of the park was removed earlier this year.

Disney executives have also referenced more "Star Wars" attractions coming to the park, which would be a logical fit at Hollywood Studios with the existing Star Tours ride and its annual "Star Wars" Weekends event.

Nothing official has been announced, however.

Coming to Magic Kingdom

The smallest changes are coming to Disney World’s most popular theme park.

The area known as "the hub" in front of Cinderella Castle continues to undergo improvements, including renovated walking paths and viewing areas for stage shows and nightly fireworks.

Disney refers to the area as "Central Plaza."

Also, new turrents are being added, flanking Cinderella Castle and expanding the royal look.

There are no plans for new attractions at Magic Kingdom, but the Pirates of the Caribbean ride is closed for refurbishment until Sept. 25.

I just want "A Musical History of Disneyland", but in FLAC/any lossless format….. I’ve been stuck with those mp3s for so long that I’d like to hear CD quality for once… I don’t care if the tracks were originally in mono or whatever, I just want to replace the mp3s with better quality files.

All the relevant Disney music I have that I COULD share is already being shared or owned by other people…. I suppose I COULD upload The Legacy Collection: Disneyland but I doubt that it would be a unique upload because I’ll bet other people already have it……

By the way, thank you for the Rolly Crump post. There is a book he published a few years back – this looks to be a companion piece. The book is chock full of some of the most interesting little tidbits about Disney history. I had the honor of meeting Rolly Crump more than a decade ago – he was introduced to me as "the man who has spent more time with It’s A Small World than any human could bear". He was literally the nicest person on the planet (you can hear that last comment in the voice of Chris from "Parks and Rec" if you want).

I only downloaded big hero 6. That’s it. I’m glad I haven’t intoxicated my music library with any more of your little treasures. You think you’re some blameless force of nature, don’t you? That the rules don’t apply to you? You can’t use the fact that people have downloaded your crap to turn them into sheep. I might just delete big hero 6 and find a rip of it elsewhere.
