The first half of 2014 has given us some stonkingly good film/TV scores, but I would like to know what all of you are looking forward to hearing in the remainder of the year…
Mine are:
Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes – Michael Giacchino
Hercules – Fernando Velazquez (not bothered about the film but love Fernando’s work)
Earth To Echo – Joseph Trapanese
Guardians Of The Galaxy – Tyler Bates
The Congress – Max Richter (STUNNING score)
Into The Storm – Brian Tyler
Gone Girl – Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross
The Maze Runner – John Paesano
Kingsman: The Secret Service – Henry Jackman
Fury – Steven Price
The Book Of Life – Gustavo Santaolalla
Interstellar – Hans Zimmer (I think this COULD be an incredible score)
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 – James Newton Howard
Kill The Messenger – Nathan Johnson
The Hobbit: The Battle Of The Five Armies – Howard SHore
Unbroken – Alexandre Desplat
There will probably be a ton more, just don’t know about them yet!!!

I think Interstellar is the one I am looking forward to most (at the moment). Man Of Steel grew on me massively after a while, but the trailer for Interstellar is just so stunning (with that amazing music from V For Vendetta) that I just cannot wait to hear what Hans does with what is sure to be EPIC sci fi! Can’t wait!
Also, if Howard Shore goes all out with the last part of The Hobbit, like he did for LOTR-ROTK, we are in for a treat!!
Lastly, was REALLY looking forward to what Giacchino was going to do with Jupiter Ascending – have to wait until February now 🙁
on the other hand some ambiguous uploaders humiliate people by demanding thanks, likes and ask for the link to get reputation points and to stay on top of the list as long as possible,to get more reputation points, and sometimes refuse to deliver,if youre not worthy in their eyes.
the two sides, givers and takers, dont communicate well.this board is not for music enthusiasts but for strategists.

Or, since some requested items are from labels that can’t be openly shared (such as Two Steps From Hell, Varese Sarabande and FSM, all banned from being openly posted), we ask for a pm for the link. Two different minds on this. Some do not want their in-boxes cluttered and so want requests posted in thread. Others, such as myself want the requests pm’ed. I do this for only two reasons. I do not subscribe to the threads and so will not see most requests, and using the pm helps me keep track of who received the link. I have never said no to a request as long as I have the actual material. It is not about staying on top for most of us nor the rep. Just different ways of doing things. Which is why reading the OP’s entire post is important,. (or the one offering the link in the case of re-ups). There can also be personal reasons for the rquest to pm, you don’t know, and you should not assume. Granted some do require thanks and rep, but they are a minority.

Also, this is not, in fact the proper place to start a discussion thread. They belong in General Discussion, since no links are actually being shared here. Though you cannot move it yourself, a mod will have to and eventually likely will. If it suddenly is not here, don’t panic…:)
Speaking as a "Please PM" guy, my reasons – in descending order of importance – are:
1. It’s very much easier for me to notice requests with a "You have a PM" pop-up upon arrival at the site – rather than digging through my old posts. I do my best to eventually notice in-thread requests and will always honor them when I do. But at best, those who don’t heed the big red request to PM are insuring that they’ll wait longer to get the links.
2. My payoff for shares is knowing that people have benefited from them. PMs insure that I know when it happens.
3. While it may not help the longevity of my Mega account to keep its links off a public web page, I figure it can’t hurt.
4. I never have to worry if the intricacies of corporate conglomeration mean that the RIAA has a claim on the material.
have never said no to a request as long as I have the actual material.
With absolutely no criticism intended of any restricted-access posters – some of whom are the most valuable contributors on the site – I’ve never understood their thinking on that. When I offer to share something, I want people to enjoy it. And if making that happen means the moderate nuisance of re-uploading something, I find it a reasonable price to pay.
Maybe the heavier hitters here have dealt with greater nuisances which gave them a different perspective. I just can’t picture what they might have been.
"…will feature the theatrical score, as well as the never-before-heard Producer’s Cut score!" — from the man himself.
CAN. NOT. WAIT.
