So I’ve been playing this game and when I save a game during the Barrels, Out of Bound level I get a message that said "Error saved game corrupted " So I decided to just restart the whole game.

Then when I got to the Troll Cave I saved and it did it again. It seems it only does it at certain save pedestals and not all of them is there a solution to avoid this problem? And I never switch off the game or remove the memory card while saving

I tried playing other games and they save alright and it isn’t my memory card I never had problems saving The Hobbit

Could be just a bum game.
Consoles (dated ones) dont’ really get the best releases.
It’s always a one-hit pony with them, flaws and all.

A quick google search shows that a lot of people have the same problem.

Although, not really detailed information was provided.
Hacked console?
Official Sony memory cards or other brands?

Buying a new copy of the game does nothing.
No one went out and bought a new console either, so no official ruling out of the console (though no one said, neither have you, whether or not their console is hacked).

Why not rip the game to PC and use PCSX2 and play off the PC instead?
Saves are saved to the PC with virtual-memory-cards.
You can downoad and import saved game files from Gamefaqs (or other places) that are compatibile with PCSX2’s interface.

That’s how I revisited FFXI.
