National Treasure (Complete Score) – Trevor Rabin, 2004
|Music by: Trevor Rabin|Year: 2004|Format: mp3 (90% 192k)|
Well, here it is. Finally.
The definitive complete score edit to Disney’s National Treasure, composed by Trevor Rabin.
This is a combination of a few sources, so read the notes below if you’re interested.
A special thanks goes to NewtonHoward for the epic artwork, pictured above. It’s just what I wanted, and I’m very honoured to have it as the official artwork to my complete score.
Once again, if you appreciate my efforts, please do show it with a Like, a Thank You, and a Rep. It took me quite a while to do this, and I’m very excited to finally be sharing it with you all.
ENJOY! 🙂

NOTES:
For those of you who know the score / movie well, you may have noticed that the sessions are not complete. There are a few noticeable cues missing. The purpose of this complete score was to fill in those gaps.
Reading the above tracklist, you may have noticed that only a few of the track names are recognisable from the sessions. That’s because I’ve gone through and changed most of them. Now, before any of you start moaning about this in the comments section, hear me out. I would never normally change original cue names, as I am a perfectionist and love having things in their original format, cue names and all. But this case was an exception. The original names were, in my opinion, pretty pathetic.
A good example would be Track 10 – The original cue name was “Ben Thinks DOI”.
For a start, that’s horrific grammar. Secondly, referring to the Declaration of Independence as “DOI” was driving me nuts.
Another thing that was irritating me was the repetition of “Ben does such-and-such”:
“Ben Is Knight”
“Ben Finds Charlotte”
“Ben Finds Pipe”
“Ben Thinks DOI”
“Ben Finds Glasses”
To me, the names just seemed far too simplistic, verging on lazy.
But if you feel differently, feel free to go through them and rename them yourself. 🙂
Below is a breakdown of this complete score, with a note for each track on its source and original name. Hopefully you’ll be able to see why I changed the names I did. I actually ended up using a lot of the track names from the DVD Rip.
BREAKDOWN
RS = Recording Sessions
DVD = DVD Rip
OST = Original SoundTrack
DH = Don Harper (obtained from website)
Bruckheimer Logo – RS
Attic – RS
The Story – RS – Original cue name: “Teaser Story”.
Knighted – RS – Original cue name: “Ben is Knight"
Snowcats – RS
Finding Charlotte – RS – Original cue name: “Ben Finds Charlotte"
Inside Charlotte – RS
The Pipe – RS – Original cue name: “Ben Finds Pipe” – It would seem that this is the original version. It was not used in the film except in the end credits montage.
The Pipe (Film Version) – DVD – This is the alternate version that was used in the film. Unfortunately there is a fair bit of faintly audible dialogue in this one, but it’s way better than nothing, and you don’t hear the beautiful harp motif again for the rest of the score.
The Riddle Solved – RS – Original cue name: “Ben Thinks DOI"
Ian’s True Colors – RS – Original cue name: “Ian True Colors"
Explosion Aftermath – RS
Washington – DVD – The only FX here is faint tweety birdsong/general outside noise in the background at the end of the cue.
Welcome To D.C. – RS – The first half of this cue is an unused version of the previous track.
Ben Meets Abigail – RS
Declaration of Independence – RS – Original cue name: "DOI"
Library of Congress – RS
Preparation Montage – RS – Original cue name: “Prep Montage"
Ian Prepares – RS – Original cue name: “Bad Guys"
Arrival at National Archives – RS – Original cue name: “Arrive at National Archives"
Haydn – Opus 33 (Source) – RS – Both of the Haydn source cues were in the wrong chronological place in the sessions. Needless to say, this has been fixed.
Getting the Map – RS – Original cue name: “Ian at Archives"
Haydn – Opus 55 (Source) – RS – See note on Track 21.
Van Chase – RS
Abigail Stays – RS
FBI Raid – RS
Ben Tells Dad – RS
Find Out – RS – Original cue name: “Examine DOI” – Technically, the original cue name is incorrect. This cue plays while they are preparing to examine the Declaration, not during.
Lemons and Heat – DVD – The only FX here is Ben and Abigail’s loud joint breath, which actually goes quite well with the music.
Explanations – RS – Original cue name: “Dad Sees DOI"
Explanations (Film Version) – DVD – The reason I’ve included this track from the DVD Rip is because it has noticeably different orchestration to the sessions cue, and also doesn’t change mood half way through for when the FBI arrive at Patrick’s house.
Philadelphia – RS – Original cue name: “Silence Dogood” – which, technically, is again incorrect, as this cue plays whilst they’re in the car, having just left Patrick’s house on the way to Philadelphia to see the Letters.
The Silence Dogood Letters – RS – Original cue name: “Silence Dogood"
Urban Outfitters – RS
The $100 Time – RS – Original cue name: “$100 Bill"
Independence Hall – RS – Original cue name: “Ben Finds Glasses”
Signing Room – RS
Escape (Pt. 1) – RS – Original cue name: “Singing Room Chase” – which is a pretty daft name, as they don’t chase each other around the signing room. At least, not as far as I remember…
Escape (Pt. 2) – OST – Original album name: “Foot Chase”
Ben Is Arrested – RS
FBI / Intrepid – RS
The Catch – RS – Original cue name: “Ben Meets With Ian"
Holding All The Cards – RS – Original cue name: “Ben / Ian Negotiate"
Trinity Church – RS
Beneath Parkington Lane – RS – Original cue name: “Trinity Church / Shaft Pt. 1”
Shaft – RS – Original cue name: “Shaft Pt. 2"
Dead End – RS – Original cue name: “Fake Treasure Room"
Fake Clue – RS – Original cue name: “Ian Leaves"
Effort in Vain – RS – Original cue name: “Empty Treasure Room"
You Did It, Ben – RS – Original cue name: “Empty Treasure Room"
The Treasure (Alt.) – RS – Original cue name: “Treasure Room"
The Treasure (Film Version) – RS – Original cue name: “Treasure Room"
Sadusky at Church – RS
Too Big For One Man / Ian Captured – RS – Original cue name: “Sadusky Deal"
Epilogue – DH – Taken from Don Harper’s website.
Epilogue (Alt.) – RS – Original cue name: “Aftermath” – In the end, this cue wasn’t actually used in the film, but it was used in "National Treasure: Book of Secrets" as the epilogue cue “Riley Gets His Car Back”.
Epilogue (Film Version) – DVD – This is the film version of Don Harper’s cue (Track 19). Contains mild FX at the beginning.
End Credits – DVD – A combination of: Original credits cue + National Treasure Suite (OST Track 1) + The Pipe + Knighted + Abigail Stays
Q
Are You Planning On Doing Book Of Secrets??
Q
Are You Planning On Doing Book Of Secrets??
I have considered it; but it’s a much bigger job than NT1, and I don’t really have the time, certainly not at the moment.
I did do a version once with a couple of extra tracks (two tracks from the OST that were used in the film [which are just combinations of original cues we have in the sessions] and the two songs by Randy Travis from the President’s party), but I don’t think that deserves a separate upload.
Yes, I like that one too! I wish we had the sessions for it. Still, it took 8 years for the NT sessions to appear, so there’s hope for Witch Mountain at least until 2017… 🙂
Also, in addition to Epilogue – Philadelphia, The Silence Dogood Letters and Signing Room are also Don Harper

Ohhhhh… Maybe that’s why it took a while to upload… But surely without the artwork, it’d still be 595MB? Would it make a difference if I reup’d without the full res?
I know those cues are also Harper’s, but they were on the sessions, whereas Epilogue wasn’t, so I had to get it off Harper’s site.
I do too! Unfortunately we only had the sessions in 192k. Maybe one day well get a higher bitrate. Hopefully. 🙂
The password is underneath the download link on the first page. Glad you appreciate it! 😀
You’re welcome! Fantastic score, isn’t it?
I literally can’t fault it. It’s just 100% perfect – funny, moving, and incredibly exciting and tense. Just like the awesome film itself. 🙂
You’re welcome. 🙂 You do have the Book of Secrets sessions, yes? Apart from that, no, there’s not much else. It’s quite a complicated score. There are a couple of cues missing from the sessions, and some that were replaced with others in the film mix, etc. but the sessions are way better than the unbelievably miniscule amount on the OST download.
No, I don’t – haven’t found that yet. Can you point me in the right direction, please? Thanks in advance.
Give me minute and I’ll have it up for you. If all you’ve had up till now is the OST, you are in for a very big surprise. 😉

Thanks so much!
You’re most welcome. Enjoy! 🙂
Give me about an hour and I’ll post it
How did I guess what you were gonna say?
Seriously, if I had it in FLAC I would have already uploaded it. Like everyone here who uploads stuff in lossy formats. Obviously if we had stuff in FLAC, we wouldn’t bother uploading in lossy. So when we do upload stuff in lossy, it should be obvious we don’t have it in lossless.

Either you’re being tremendously sarcastic (which I guess isn’t that unusual ;)), or you actually have the sessions in FLAC. And the DVD Rip tracks too. Which I know you don’t. Or do you??
You’re most welcome. 🙂
Please, can anybody reupload ?
Thank you very much!
