Has anybody encrypted their drive with BitLocker in Windows 7 or 8?
Have you had any issues or complaints, or has everything gone swimmingly?
Also, do you believe Microsoft’s claims that they didn’t build in a back door?
Views & thoughts welcome.

I wouldn’t trust their encryption.
It’d be too easy for them (or anyone) to get around it.
If you google around for more info, you’ll find a lot of people will not use it.
the only ones who praise it get paid to do so or have nothing serious to hide (ie. not pirates).
TrueCrypt has a lot of praise. It’s free, also.

I agree, but TrueCrypt has now been declared unsecure by its own developers. Their web site points to bitLocker.
