I’m Looking Forward to Disneyland Hopefully Some New Stuff! And Some Classics With Better Audio Maybe Interviews With Walt!

I Must Also Admit Fantasia Will Be Interesting As The Whole Album Is Already Out..So Maybe Demo’s Or Just Interviews??
I’m Looking Forward to Disneyland Hopefully Some New Stuff! And Some Classics With Better Audio Maybe Interviews With Walt!
I’m looking forward to Disneyland as well (Even though I’ve never been. :/. I have been to Walt Disney World plenty of times though. :P) I wonder how many Discs the Disneyland release will be. I thought that all Legacy Collection would be no more than 2 Discs, but now Mary Poppins in 3 Discs so who knows? There is certainly a lot of audio from Disneyland that could take up quite a number of Discs. If they only do 2 Disc, I’m guessing they will all just be ride-through mixes with only a couple of extras. But if its 3 or more, I’m guessing the first disc could be all ride-through, disc 2 would be all BGM loops, and disc 3 would be all extras.
Also, if Disney does continue to release more Legacy Collections past 2015, I wonder if we’ll get to see any release for certain attractions. I think The Legacy Collection: The Haunted Mansion would be MANDATORY! 😛
Demo’s or maybe some alternate takes, bloopers, or different arrangements?

Thats A Good Idea The Disneyland Legacy Collection!!! Anniversary Of Certain Attractions HM, POTC For Def! Another Good Thougt I Could Have All Themes (DL/WDW/DLP/TDL/HK) Ride Thrus Make An Big Deal Out Of It IT WILL SELL!
Demo’s or maybe some alternate takes, bloopers, or different arrangements?
Fantasia Already Takes 2 Disc so Three Would Make Sense. Demos Are Rearrangements Maybe! As Long As They Don’t Just Have D1+2 Fantasia & 3 2000 I Will Be Very Upset By That!
@Leon Scott Kennedy
I Do Belive Sleeping Beauty Has Been Very Underated In The Music Collections As There Was So Many Songs And Scores That Where Written Before Walt Changed His Mind (As He Always Did!) To Use the Ballet!
As For Lady And The Tramp Another Good Sight Maybe The Orginal Peggy Lee Demos (The Siamese Cats Before The Dubbing Would Be Interesting To Hear In Her Own Voice!)
Sorry Hack3r I’m Stealing Your Thread I Will Shut Up Now LOL
Fantasia Already Takes 2 Disc so Three Would Make Sense.
Forget The Disneyland Legacy Collection! We need The Disney Parks Legacy Collection! That way we could also throw in Phantom Manor and Mystic Manor.
A good idea for Single Attraction releases (If someone from Disney would like to take notes.)
EXAMPLE: The Legacy Collection: The Haunted Mansion
DISC 1: BGM/Ride-through (Including Disneyland, Walt Disney World, and Tokyo’s Disneyland [Not including Phantom Manor as it should get its own release.])
DISC 2: Recording Sessions (Music and Dialouge Spiels)
DISC 3: Extras (Not really sure what kind of extras though)
DISC 4: Enchanced CD (Put it in your computer for all kinds of haunted digital goodies!)
Ooh This Is Exciting!!!!! its Addictive!!

I Still Think Films Like Ichabod & Mr Toad/Sword In The Stone Make Mine Music Ect Should Get One Even If Its 1 Disc!
Ooh This Is Exciting!!!!! its Addictive!!
I think that would more than likely be on the Enhanced Disc, seeing as most of the interview and explanations were originally captured on video.
I Still Think Films Like Ichabod & Mr Toad/Sword In The Stone Make Mine Music Ect Should Get One Even If Its 1 Disc!
I agree, but I think Disney is only doing films that were huge and very successful for them. I dont know how successful Ichabod & Mr. Toad was, but I know The Sword in the Stone didn’t do too well for them.
———- Post added at 09:30 PM ———- Previous post was at 09:29 PM ———-
I know with Fantasia they had planned to animate more sequences that were to be interchangeable during the roadshow tour. Maybe Stokowski recorded some of the other pieces that were to be animated?
Very True! Good Point!
———- Post added at 09:33 PM ———- Previous post was at 09:30 PM ———-
To Change the Subjest A Bit I Must Admit The Album Arts Are Fantastic
When I say successful, I mean both critically and financially. I’m pretty sure Ichabod was not financially successful, don’t know how it was critically though.
To Change the Subjest A Bit I Must Admit The Album Arts Are Fantastic
Well, it’s not really changing the subject seeing as it’s still about The Legacy Collection. But I agree!
@Leon Scott Kennedy

That’s precisely why I’ve set my eyes on these two. 😀 I would like to hear some unreleased/demo stuff from these animated movies. I could only hope that they don’t get screwed up.
I’m Sure They Won’t Disney Normally Put Only The Best Out And Those Two Are Very Popular Films And Lady And the Tramp Ment A Lot to Walt.

If They Go Into 2016 Beauty And The Beast Will Be 25yrs I Believe
According to Wikipedia there is still quite a bit missing.
The Little Mermaid (soundtrack) – Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=The_Little_Mermaid_%28soundtrack%2 9#Unreleased_songs.2Fscore)
Of course, there are a few things listed there, like the instrumentals of the songs, that aren’t ACTUALLY missing material.
I’m pretty optimistic that we’ll get the (nearly) full score for that one. Adding up the times of everything unreleased based on that wikipedia entry, minus the instrumentals of the songs and the source cues, there’s still over 30 minutes of unreleased score. Right on par with The Lion King.
RE: Mary Poppins:
According to the official tracklist, we might get the full Overture! On Disc 2, it says there is a bonus track, and its "Overture [Album Version]". So I’m guessing the Overture on Disc 1 will be the full version.
After some searching online, it appears that the Overture version on the second disc is from the original LP release. This, apparently, was a LONGER arrangement and some people on other forums speculate (speculate being the key word) that it contained music from the original Entr’acte, from the roadshow version of the film. Meaning the version on the first disc will most likely be identical to the version on the previous CD. But I’ve VERY excited to hear this extended version of the Overture on disc 2 with possible Entr’acte music!
Have You Heard The Broadway Version Of Mary Poppins??
I Find It Not Very Good But Instrumental/Score Is Alright
I Find It Not Very Good But Instrumental/Score Is Alright
I have listened to the Broadway recording once or twice. They eliminated some of the very best songs and filled it with "fluff" songs that add nothing of value to the plot. You’re right, some of the instrumental sections were alright, but I think that the orchestra on the original soundtrack is one of the best sounding orchestras for that time period and incredibly fun to listen to.
I hope that they do more of these legacy releases after the original wave. Alice In Wonderland is crying out for a release like this as there is so much unreleased audio like the demos
Little Mermaid is already in the Legacy Collection……

Now I know there are no Lost Chords recordings for Toy Story. But I think it would be a good idea to have Randy Newman come in and record the unused songs that he wrote for Toy Story (Plastic Spaceman, and The Fool) and put it on here!

Now I’m sure you guys are thinking, "How are they gonna fit all that on the CD?!" We’ll we can. A normal CD holds 120 minutes of audio, Toy Story is only 121 mintues long, and there are a few scenes where no music is playing, so its possible we could put the complete score (Including the songs, and MAYBE some alternatives) all on the first disc!
Also, they would probably combine multiple cues into one track so that there’s not over 50 tracks!
Plus, it looks like one cue was never recorded (or maybe cut from the film) 3m1-3m2 School Play / I Say We Go.
EDIT: Also, the OST is only 52 minutes long… so well (HOPEFULLY) be getting a lot more music!
The one thing I definitely think will be different from your prediction is that I don’t think the songs will all be at the beginning of the album and the score cues all following like Disney has usually done in the past. I think with the Legacy Collection we’ll be getting everything in film order. I hope we do, anyway!
Edit: I also don’t think we’ll be getting all the sessions alternates, or rather the ‘revised’ edits.
I was thinking the same thing. I just put up the OST tracklist for now until we get the official tracklist. If you take the survey that I posted a link to in The Legacy Collection: The Lion King thread, one of the questions Disney asks you is "What was some of the aspects of the album you like?" One of the answers was "Tracks were in Film Order" (Or something along those lines anyways).
Edit: I also don’t think we’ll be getting all the sessions alternates, or rather the ‘revised’ edits.
We’ll I never thought we would get all of alternates, just maybe some of them.
Only If They Get One Disc. (More So Song of the South & Jafar)
Only If They Get One Disc. (More So Song of the South & Jafar)
Song Of The South would be a great addition to the collection. As a bonus they could put the DVD in the set. Wishful thinking I know but maybe one day they’ll let it out of the vault and on to dvd/blu-ray…maybe
a wasted opportunity to bring true masterpieces like beauty and the beast, and the best disney movie ever: the hunchback of notredame. i would have KILLED to see a hadcover book with all the skullfuckingly amazing artwork in that movie.
I Think Beauty and the Beast Is 25 in 2016 There Are A Lot That Have An Anniversary At Some Point
Such a shame that it seems every Alan Menken-scored movie would miss so much of its music upon release… Little Mermaid, Hercules, Beauty & the Beast, Hunchback of Notre Dame, Aladdin, Enchanted… so much of the soundtrack is missing on the CDs..

Unfortunately No… :/ It seems like Disney only gives out info for the next release, once the current album is released. Like what happened with Mary Poppins. As soon as The Lion King came out, they released the info for Mary Poppins. I’m sure once Mary Poppins is released, we’ll get some info on Sleeping Beauty.

Quite frankly, I don’t mind the Legcay release for Mary Poppins. We are getting the full overture on disc 1 for that. But I’m not too familiar with previous Sleeping Beauty releases to know the difference with the Legacy release. I’m sure there must be some difference…
Lady and the Tramp just means my childhood. Listening to my mum’s old "Disney Storyteller" LP (and 45 read-along!) when we weren’t feeling well always cheered us up, complete with crackles and all. 🙂
I’m with ya on both of those. But more so for Toy Story as that film was a HUGE part of my childhood. I still collect rare items from that film today! For example, I recently got a Copy of the original screenplay that was sent to voting members of the Academy, to be nominated for Best Original Screenplay.
And Disney Will Only Release The Really Popular Ones Ie Lion King Ect.
Also The Sword in the Stone, Robin Hood and The Fox and the Hound!
I Pre-Ordered a few weeks ago… AND ITS JUST NOW SHIPPING! 🙁 Should come in a few days.

Also, according to Amazon, my Mary Poppins CD should come in tomorrow so stay tuned!
Agreed. Hopefully there’ll be others coming along in the future, including the likes of Robin Hood, Jungle Book, etc.

people saying in mary poppins thread that even that having some remaster, so hopefully also lady and tramp 🙂
So maybe if wanted that bad by people they buy it.
😉
Otherwise someone at some time will upoload
But I am planning on ripping and posting Sleeping Beauty!
https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/id918788012?ign-mpt=uo%3D4
As for Lady and the Tramp being remastered? I’m sure it will be. Mary Poppins was remastered for The Legacy Collection release. It wasn’t a big difference than the 40th anniversary cd, but noticeable. And from what I hear, Sleeping Beauty is also remastered for The Legacy Collection. It seems like all the releases will be remastered.
No Problem!
I’m sure LATT will need to be remastered. I think all of the older films will need to be remastered really.
Me neither! But we’ll hear it Saturday!
Be patient! Hack3rman will upload and post as soon as he gets it. He’s already said as much several times.

As far as the remastering for Sleeping Beauty itself? I would’nt know if theres any improvements from this release and previous releases.
But compared to the quality of the previous Legacy Collection releases? This is on par!
But compared to the quality of the previous Legacy Collection releases? This is on par!
I don’t think they will have changed anything in terms of the sound because I seem to remember they already remastered the soundtrack a few years ago when they made Sleeping Beauty their very first release on Blu-Ray… I think they wanted to do things right and pay the movie justice so they paid particular attention to both the Blu-Ray and the soundtrack. It sounds wondrous.
I think the only things new here are the cues contained in Disc 2. Nothings that stands out in terms of the new songs but overall everything fits in the Sleeping Beauty style.
I never once said they came with reports…
Perhaps it will have music from Fantasia 2000 too?
I like your idea of Deem Taylor’s narration! Maybe we’ll get some clips of the recording sessions like they did for the 5 CD release of the New York Fair.
I Do Think The Narrations Should Be Included That Way Its Complete
Also Mickey And Leopold Stikowski’s Little Meeting :p
———- Post added at 09:17 PM ———- Previous post was at 09:10 PM ———-
There is a chance we get the deems taylor narrations.
Whilst this would be great to have I seem to remember that some of the original Deems Taylor narrations were lost and had to be re-recorded (by Corey Burton I think) for the DVD release of the uncut version of the film in 2000. If you listen to the Deems Taylor narrations on the 1990 video release and then listen to the narrations on the DVD or recent blu-ray release you will notice that there is a slight difference in them although Disney did a pretty good job of trying to get the re-recorded narrations to sound very similar on this occasion.
I never said you said you did… or something like that. But in this thread devoted to their release, complete with posts of covers, track lists, and the like, it seems a bit odd that proof of audio integrity would be absent. It’s so small a file, yet so critical a detail.
We’ll you’re not getting them from me. I don’t keep those files, I never need them. I look at them once to make sure everything went OK, then deleted them. Besides, this is a discussion thread, so I wouldn’t put them here anyways. They would go in the individual theads.
And it’s not odd that it would be absent. I post details about the releases, not the rips.
What sort of music was that? :awsm:
obvious for rap music. or maybe dubstep… 😉
Well Disney has delved into both genres at one point or another… 😛
And it’s not odd that it would be absent. I post details about the releases, not the rips.
Despite my attempt to ask questions in a polite manner, your response has been curt, if not outright hostile. The popular reaction to my inquiry also stands out as odd, in as much as it is commonly understood that the burden of proof lies with the party presenting a truth claim (in this case, a rip, which implies accuracy).
You included the links to the rips in this thread; you can’t rightly claim that this isn’t a valid place to ask questions about the contents. The insinuation that it’s somehow my fault for looking in the wrong place has no merit.
At the very beginning, I asked whether there was something about this scenario that I was failing to understand. Instead of explaining why it’s acceptable in this community to post a rip without the widely-accepted standard of including log files, numerous respondents immediately resorted to playing the "hurt feelings" card.
I accept that you may have expended effort to bring this music collection to members of the forum, but unlike some of the other posters, I see no reason to trip over myself in a rush to thank you for a job improperly done. Just because an uploader does not get paid, does not grant him immunity to legitimate inquiry about the product he’s offering.
That I would even have to go to such lengths to explain this, and suffer rude quips to boot, speaks volumes about this community.
Of course, if the logs and data are so precious to you that you need to bitch about it when receiving a gift, then you ought go out immediately and buy the set for yourself, so as to rest assured that the discs are accurate.
If people are gonna start moaning. Then buy the cd hack3rman does not have to post these just be greatful.
I would like to say thank you to hack3rman for posting the Disney records legacy sets in this topic. I have been enjoying the 3 Disney records legacy sets in this topic and I hope that you post more of them sometime soon. Mr.Gold is right about what he has posted this morning in this topic we should be thankful that hack3rman is posting these CDs sets in this topic I fell like saying what someone told me if you don’t like it go out and buy the CDs or buy them on Itunes you know what I used to do when I was a kid in the early 80s and early 90s I used to go buy the CDs or listen to them on the radio in the car or in the house we should be thankful for all of the Disney music that Mr.Gold and everyone has posted in the other Disney music topics and I would like to say a big thank you to Mr.gold and everyone who posted there Disney music in the other Disney music topics. Have a magical day everyone and enjoy the Disney music that these members post in the Disney music topics.
Well edited. 😉
Anyway just wanted to thank hack3rman for these wonderful uploads.
I have the originals and they are a thing of beauty.
Just so glad their not limited to a 1000 so everybody has a chance of owning them and not paying scalpers on fleece bay for them.
Curt? Maybe. Hostile? Not even close! If you wanna see hostile replies from me, you should check out my Trailer Stems thread.
You included the links to the rips in this thread; you can’t rightly claim that this isn’t a valid place to ask questions about the contents.
I’ve never posted links to the rips in this thread. I’ve posted links to the threads that contain the links to the rips. That is where you should have "asked questions about the contents" And I can rightly claim that!
The insinuation that it’s somehow my fault for looking in the wrong place has no merit.
Actually it does have merit, and it is your fault. I don’t know why anyone would ask about log files in a DISCUSSION thread about the collection itself, not the thread pertaining to the rips.
At the very beginning, I asked whether there was something about this scenario that I was failing to understand. Instead of explaining why it’s acceptable in this community to post a rip without the widely-accepted standard of including log files, numerous respondents immediately resorted to playing the "hurt feelings" card.
I’m not sure why you failed to understand that there were no log files. I’ve never said anything about log files in this thread and any other related threads.
A job improperly done?! Ok. Just because this does not include your precious log file, does not mean that these rips are improperly done!
That I would even have to go to such lengths to explain this, and suffer rude quips to boot, speaks volumes about this community.
And the fact that you’re going to such lengths for a stupid log file speaks volumes about you. 🙂
Not that it’s any of my business, but…
To be fair, I don’t think either side here is 100% innocent. P61Ej3OK has a perfect right to ask about log files, and even if he did ask in the wrong place I think the response to his request was a bit on the harsh side. Let’s be a bit more easy going, eh?
But for P61Ej3OK to then claim that the rips are improperly done is also a bit harsh – Hack3rman most certainly knows how to rip correctly and is very good at it.
If you wanna see hostile replies from me, you should check out my Trailer Stems thread.
That is most certainly true, and with good reason. 😉
Day one purchase for me then 😀

I seem to recall the links in this thread leading directly to the downloads, but it’s possible that I’m mistaken. Unfortunately, the message containing the links has since been edited, so there’s no longer a way for me to fact-check my own assertion. What still doesn’t make sense, though, is how this thread can be for "discussion" that permits praise and non-critical questions about hack3rman’s rips, but not a place for a polite question about what appears to be a non-standard omission. But, as you have shown, readers can see the merit of my argument and do not need to resort to belittlement to make their points, so I am satisfied. Thank you.
Well you’re mistaken. And I have not edited either of the 2 messages with links to the threads.

I have already mentioned that this is a discussion thread about the RELEASES! Not my RIPS! So this is the wrong thread to talk about my rips!
And as Amanda has already pointed out, is IS a very standard omission here.
I notice there’s a lot of "Well, I don’t do that…" or "I know some sites that don’t…" being used to disprove the rule — but it doesn’t, actually. (It’s like me saying "Most people from China are short", then you saying "Well, I know a Chinese guy who’s tall, so you’re wrong!") You’re probably correct about log files being a rarity here (which would have been a good answer to my question at the start, when I asked whether there was something I was failing to understand about the situation), but that in no way contradicts my mention of ripping standards in general. I just wanted to point that out, hopefully not in an ascerbic way, for the betterment of our thinking.
BTW, would Beauty And the Beast and Aladdin get the same treatment in the future? Those, along with Mermaid and Pocahontas, are my favourite Alan Menken scores.

Holy Shit That’s Nice! I know a lot of people don’t like the artwork on these releases, but I sure do love them!
Also I wanted to know if any of you guys have the digital booklets for The Legacy Collection releases of Mary Poppins, Sleeping Beauty, and The Little Mermaid? We already have the digital booklet for The Legacy Collection: The Lion King thanks to theslap971! I would just like to add the digital booklets to my rips to make them more complete! Any help would be nice!
We know will be getting a complete score (or close to it) on the first disc. But what do you guys think could be on the second?

Well I can’t post it this weekend, since it won’t be released til the 13th. 😛
But I do plan on posting EVERY single release of The Legacy Collection, so fear not my friend!
I’m glad you brought that back up. Due to some finance issues, and not having a job… I don’t know if I’ll be able to have Fantasia up anytime soon.
If I happen to get it, I will send you a lossless copy so that you continue your reign of ‘The Legacy Collections’ 🙂

I hope that you can post the new Walt Disney records Legacy set on Tuesday the 13rth of next week Did you find out anymore info on the Legacy collection Pinocchio set yet that comes out next month on 3rd of next month? I can’t wait until you post the Legacy collection Fantasia set on Tuesday the 13th of next week. I have a question the Pinocchio Legacy collection that comes out next month on the 3rd of next month will you post that Cd set on the 3rd of next month or on the 13th again like this month? The Toy store Legacy collection should be a good one I hope that it has all 3 Toy store soundtracks on it in the Legacy collection when are you going to get more info on what is going to be on the Pinocchio Legacy CD set yet? I am asking this question because it comes out on the 3rd of next month and it says under the picture no other info at this time when are you going to get more info on what is going to be in that Legacy collection set? We have a little bit to wait until the Toy Story Legacy collection comes out that comes out on March 17th I hope that we get more info on both of these sets before they are posted on this site. I am looking forworld to the Disneyland Legacy collection on April 7th of this year I also hope that you get more info on what is gong to be in that set before April 7th of this year. I also can’t wait until the Pocahontas Legacy collection comes out on June 23rd of this year I also hope that you get more info on that Legacy collection before it comes out on June 23rd of this year. I think that the last 2 Legacy collections will be good ones the Aristocats and Cinderella legacy collections they both come out on August 17th of this year so I will be able to download them after my vacation to Hawaii this summer and the Legacy collections coming out before I go to Hawaii this summer in July will give me something to listen to on the plain for the 11 hour flight to Hawaii and coming home from Hawaii for the 10 hour flight back to were I live this summer in July.
Haha geez, you want all of them too now, don’t you? I don’t blame you, Disney is known for some classic great scores.
I have all The Legacy Collection releases physically so far. 🙂
I would greatly appreciate it if you did! 😀

I actually hadn’t heard of the guy, but yes, you’re right Hack3rman. It seemed somewhat incredibly random. 😛

I might change mine sometime… what do you think? Obviously it’d still be a picture of myself…
Master Gracey, from "The Haunted Mansion" attractions at the Disney Parks. My all time favorite attraction!
And I guess it will be hard to keep track of who I am on here. In the ride, this portrait changes. I have it setup to upload a new avatar every so often to make it change like in the ride.

I also hope that Disney makes more of the Disney Legacy sets next year. I have a question for you hack3rman do you think that the new Walt Disney Legacy set will be posted tomorrow or sometime soon?

Perhaps You Could Buy And Post It For Us
I’d also love if the deleted song I’m Free As The Breeze could be included in the second disc just exactly as it is in the Blu-ray. I really liked that rendition. And I honestly do not like much the re-arrangements of deleted songs for the new discs. Yeah, it’s awesome but would of been even more if they were fully live orchestrated, not by a computer, if it was by a real arrangement it’d feel more Disney and like if it were in the movie, which is what Randy wanted to do, but well, such is a tight budget they have.
If I Am Honest I Think The Best Release of the 4 So Far Is The Lion King CD. Followed By Mary Poppins.

They seem to release details of next months release while the current Legacy Collection is being released, or during the week it’s being released they reveal info on the upcoming release. Pretty nice of them, I think. I wish there were more companies that cared about complete releases like this.
Yea! 😀 Thanks Lockdown!

I’ve noticed they release the info for the next release the day the current one is released. The only time I don’t remember that happening is when they announced the details for Fantasia a week before The Little Mermaid came out.
Well like you said, the people that were already planning on buying these CDs are die hard fans. Plus I’ve noticed tht a lot of people here who download my rips, end up buying it anyways. So I wouldn’t worry.
I hope you can afford some of them, so the sales will be strong. I want them to continue these releases for a long time.
Do you know when the restauration was made ? is it the same as I had previously but with a way better and new transfert that was not able at the time ?
come on disney, make it happen
Wait… Fantasia had a score? I haven’t seen it in ages but as far as I remember it’s just a bunch of famous classical pieces (symphonies, overtures, etc.) put to animation. Someone correct me if I’m wrong…
http://50greatestscenesindisneyhistory.files.wordpress.co m/2012/05/sorcerers-apprentice1.jpg
It’s 4 discs, the first two being the original 1940 recording of Lepold Stokowski, and obviously it’ll be mono, and I think it’ll be more or less like in the other soundtracks. The discs 3 and 4 are the 1982 re-recording of Irwin Kostal which is very good in my opinion.
I think there’s a chance that we could get a new stereo mix of the original soundtrack. It was recorded in Fantasound, an early form of surround sound developed for Fantasia. The Original audio trackhad left, center, and right track so as long as Disney still has the original recordings it’s possible to remaster the soundrrack.
Well that’s the golden question now isn’t it? Do they even still have the original master tapes?
On the Sleepying Beauty Blu-Ray, there’s a whole documentary about remastering the score. They said that Sleeping Beauty is one of the FEW films that they still have the original master tapes of the recording sessions from that era… Let’s hope Fantasia is one of those few films…
Good old Sleepying Beauty. 😉

Tesco. Guess it depends on where you live. They’ve had them a while here in Monstropolis.
Tesco is a British supermarket.
You don’t know what Tesco is…?! Wow. Where do you live?! 😛
…but I guess my knowledge of Tesco has now given away my true location. Damn it. 😛
IIRC Tesco went over to the States as "Fresh & Easy". They didn’t do very well and pulled their operations in the USA.
Monstropolis is in a parallel universe. Tell you what, give me your closet door details and I’ll pop in to see you when I get to the scare floor on Monday morning.
Not really. We use laughs to power our world now, not screams. I can bring a joke book?

Whenever you purchase it yourself so that the Legacy Collection releases will continue 🙂
Smashing advice. I agree wholeheartedly. Please do buy them if you can. I personally have no interest in the Legacy Collections apart from Lady & The Tramp and Toy Story (and probably The Lion King when I get round to watching it one day), and I am planning on buying those when they come out. I haven’t downloaded a single Legacy Collection yet. So please, if you can save up for them, treat yourself to the physical copy.
Well, I hope so! I’m going to buy "Pocahontas" and "The Aristocats"! Now I’m saving money. 🙂
Yay! Thank you! 😀
So I am decided to buy the TLK release, the only one near me. The only problem is that I’m pretty sure is that if I buy it there, Disney will get no money!
You can always buy it online from DisneyMusicEmporium. That way you know for sure Disney will get the money.
Oh yeah… Forgot about that.
Amazon should work too, as far as Disney receiving profit.
That reminds me, there’s a new Modern Family episode.

It’s a good movie. Great talent in it.
But such a long movie. I dozed off a couple times waiting for it to end.

Ultron’s recent cover of "I’ve Got No Strings"
I think he means that one.
Sorry, Ponyo, I meant a cover, as in:
a recording or performance of a song previously recorded by a different artist.
…as opposed to a physical CD case cover.
But hey! Why not make some cover art for the song with Ultron himself on it?!

Thanks for the heads up! Good old HMV. I will wait for LatT and TS to come down in price after they initially release. 🙂
???12.99 each, but they want silly money for Fantasia ???24.99
Amazon wants the same for Fantasia. Pity HMV Oxford Circus didn’t stock any of the Legacy sets. I can remember HMV Truro stocking TLK though (an odd place for it to be because I wouldn’t exactly call the South West a hotbed of score fanatics)
That is indeed odd for Oxford Circus not to stock any.
I was surprised at HMV stocking them I thought if any shop in the UK got them it would be The Cinema Store.
Symbolic though their "new" location may be, they had more space in the old unit and more stock as a result, including a whole row on film and tv scores IIRC.
It Would Appear Not 🙁 Strange I Do Hope They Have Not Pushed Them Back or Cancelled Them 🙁
I hope not! Toy Story was the one I was looking forward to the most!
My word, that would be terrible.
That aside, nice to see you active again, Mr Gold. Where have you been?

I don’t think its canceled either, but we dont have details for Toy Story yet which really worries me. We usually have details for the next release already.
Here’s the link to the page The Legacy Collection | Disney Music Emporium (http://www.disneymusicemporium.com/the-legacy-collection/)
Well according to Stitch Kingdom… It’s been "Delayed Indefinitley"…
As was I! 🙁 I’m hoping it really is just a delay. I noticed that most of the previous releases were released on the same month the film came out. And if not the same month, it was REALLY close to it. But Toy Story came out in November and The Legacy Collection release was set for March… Big difference…
I’m not a religious man but I’m gonna pray! 😛

Toy Story’ Release Postponed Indefinitely
Source official from Disney from – Stitch Kingdom
Just for the record – I’m not judging anyone for their feelings on L&TT – I damn near cried when I thought this might be cancelled.
There’s always a possibility of that happening, but I doubt it. If that were the case than I don’t think we would be getting the complete scores to Monsters, Inc., Monsters University on the FYC’s and a Music Only track on the A Bug’s Life DVD.
My theory of it releasing closer to the anniversary of the film is what I think is happening.
EDIT: Well this quote from Stitch Kingdom gives me a bit of hope!
…and Disney is hopeful that it is ready for release by the time Disney D23 Expo happens in August.
those two i would appreciating really. 😀
If the line survive I???m sure it will, since it has a lot of extra material that can be put on the second disc.
But to tell the truth I hardly think the line will continue after 2015.
Imagine how hack3rman feels…..Toy Story was indefinitely postponed. That’s his Grail. I’d be fuming
I’m certainly very worried…
Also, I’m glad that Pocahontas will still be released – there is something to look forward to this summer. 🙂
I’m sorry, I didn’t. But I’ll check it out now. Thanks for the link!

So it looks like Disney is cooperateing with some partners and other companies. I wonder if there would be further changes after the "first to market" dates. I hope not, though. 🙂 It wouldn’t be good if they would plan to make changes before the wide releases on August 21st.
AH! TOY STORY! 😀
Toy Story – Wide release on 7/7*
Wait… what’s that asterisk mean?
* Date subject to change
AAAAAAAAAHHH!
I really hope they keep it where it is!
Ugh, I do not like the exclusives things. Makes me harder to buy ’em. But eh.. it seems the collection isn’t selling bad, and that’s a good thing.
And it also feels a little strange, this thing with earlier releases on Intrada and so on. Will they be exactly the same, the same kind of package that we have so far in the series…and so on?
To my knowledge, Intrada has never released such a thing (a book and CD) before, so I???m a little worried….
Yeah, but that’s a different unvalid argument, haha.
I wouldn’t say different and unvalid. You asked if it could be about money, I said no. But who knows the reason this is all happening. As with the Tyler/Elfman AoU debacle, I’m sure it will come to light 😉

*No Album Art At The Moment*
On February 15 1950, the Walt Disney Company released Cinderella. Walt Disney Records will celebrate its anniversary by releasing the Walt Disney Records The Legacy Collection: Cinderella; a charming album that every music collector will enjoy.
A 2-disc set including the original restored soundtrack, 7 lost chords recordings and 9 bonus tracks.
Walt Disney Records The Legacy Collection: Cinderella is part of the overall Legacy collection line. Each one of the albums in this line is meant to be a collector’s piece in terms of the album content and packaging art. To achieve the latter, each album will feature newly created artwork from Lorelay Bove, a visual development artist at Walt Disney Animation.
Maybe Things Will Pick Up After That???
Still no single word about LADY AND THE TRAMP at 4 days of release.

Disneyland 60th Anniversary Legacy CD Track Listing | DIS KINGDOM (http://diskingdom.com/2015/04/29/disneyland-60th-anniversay-legacy-cd-track-listing/)
You’re forgetting the additional score tracks for The Little Mermaid and the 1982 re-recordings for Fantasia which never had a soundtrack release. The rest, I’ll admit, are pretty lame.
Amen to that!!
Talking about the Legacy Collection, I hope someone will upload the Lady and the Tramp one in here! 🙂 I can’t wait to know if the demo of Free as the Breeze is the one in the Diamond Edition or not.
Also, I believe some old Storytell narrated versions or whatever LP oldies of the Legacy Collection movies would of been a great add on for collectors.. and would bring oldies that want to reunite with their memories.. some are, also, very good. They are sadly obviously never gonna release ’em, not even digitally.
I have the two old L&tT vinyls in digital format. I ripped them a couple years ago, but I’ve no idea what the quality was. I was ignorant back then.
Interested in an upload?
Maybe indeed…

all kinds of nice scans or digital booklets there… If I’m not wrong, people wanted digital booklet of Little Mermaid earlier so you can also upload your copy…
And… … … … If you brush really really your Disney history, you could admit that all these editions are incomplete with material, except Fantasia. Legacy……………… a wrong word for a wrong idea.
Don’t need to brush up anything, I don’t like Bove’s art here at all and nothing’s gonna change it. You liking it – just your opinion and nothing else (same as mine).
And… … … … If you brush really really your Disney history, you could admit that all these editions are incomplete with material, except Fantasia. Legacy……………… a wrong word for a wrong idea.
Erm, no, they are very obviously an homage to the very well-known and very well-loved Disney concept art of Mary Blair.
Also, these have never been promoted as 100% complete, definitive sound archives. They are deluxe versions of the albums intended for fans, but they’re still albums. At some point sanity, budget, clearance issues or simply editorial judgement must step in. I cannot believe that people are complaining about these things – the alternative is them not existing at all. And you’re probably going to get your way soon anyway.
I repeat, in booklets, in these collection booklets isn’t mentioned the homage to Mary Blair, it is your supposition, I thought so far.

Yes, personally I complain about this major, and "What a Major!" I complain about the second disc of Pinocchio with only a duration of 15 minutes, and with wrong songs about Mickey Mouse club… perverted minds.
After many years, Disney knows perfectly how soundtracks and other things are for fans and expecially for music lovers, and you talk to me about clearance issues, come on, oh come on…
Second discs:
Lady and the tramp: 24 minutes
Pinocchio: 15 minutes
Sleeping beauty: 31 minutes
Let’s tell the truth, the real truth, the Legacy collection is a perfect way to speculate on sales and gains, with most of the material super recycled, nothing more. In future, not so far, they will adopt only the digital download option, just because the own fault for past political decisions money management.
A good job or a perfect job is always rewarded, sooner or later. This collection is a total failure, and people with a minimum of coherence, they got it right.
I was going to buy TLK, but I found out when hack3rman posted it that 8m19 An Arguement / You’re Mufassa’s Boy / Remember does not include the insert of the main theme roughly 2 min into the cue. The duduk. It’s been tampered with and is different. I wasn’t happy about that and other cause have been tampered with as well, so I passed on it.
Thats Fair Enough. I Just Feel Lion King Had More To Offer Than The Others (My Opinion) I Was Hoping Some New Stuff On The Disneyland One But Again Re-Release 🙁
Was there ever any official comment on why nothing ever happened with that?
I’m going to guess there was probably some problem with it (perhaps trouble negotiating with Randy Newman for unreleased material?). Either that or Disney quietly cancelled it.

Keep in mind the films that get a Legacy release are having a milestone anniversary. So if the films isn’t having a anniversary ending in a 0 or 5, and wasnt critically well reviewed, it probably won’t get a legacy release….
2016:
Beauty and the Beast (25th Anniversary) One of Disney’s most popular and successful movies ever. Guaranteed a Legacy Release if there’s another wave. Also there’s that live action remake in 2017. 25 years is also an important milestone. Also a Disney princess film.
The Hunchback of Notre Dame (20th Anniversary) While it wasn’t a huge success, the film is still vaguely popular. And if Pocahontas can get a Legacy release…
Alice in Wonderland (65th Anniversary) Like Beauty and the Beast, this film is guaranteed a Legacy Release at some point if the line continues due to the film’s popularity. And the sequel to the 2010 film is also released in 2016 (coinciding with the anniversary)
Monsters Inc (15th anniversary) Popular Pixar film, one of Disney’s more successful franchises. Probably the most successful Pixar franchise after Toy Story and Cars.
2017:
The Jungle Book (50th Anniversary) 50th Anniversary is a big one for one of their classics. Guaranteed a Legacy release if the line continues.
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (80th Anniversary) Again, guaranteed. Also a Disney princess film.
Bambi (75th Anniversary) Walt’s personal favourite, is a very strong contender. 75 years is also an important milestone.
Hercules (20th Anniversary) Yeah it’s not that popular so it might not happen, but it’s a strong contender.
Tron (35th Anniversary) It’s a cult classic, ultimately depends on if Disney wants to push the Tron brand or not. Depends on the ambiguous fate of Tron 3 I suppose.
The Many Adventures of Winnie The Pooh (40th Anniversary) Winnie the Pooh is one of Disney’s more successful brands with several movies and TV shows to it’s name. Plus Pooh is still a figure seen in Disney stores and theme parks.
101 Dalmatians (55th Anniversary) Another iconic and popular film. May not happen, but it’s very likely.
Aladdin (25th Anniversary) With the film getting it’s diamond edition this year, I can imagine Disney will want this released. Also a Disney Princess film.

Well if they included the source cue for the Buzz Lightyear commercial (Which Ive been after!), then I doubt they left anything out.
You’re right – that’s a good indication! Man, I’m pumped for this!!
ME TOO!
I’m Getting It For Sure!
Is my fur blue and purple?
Im going off the original handwritten sheets, before they were finalized with the final picture edit of the film. So there are a couple that might be swapped and a couple that were unused. Like "3m1-3m2 School Play / I Say We Go" I certainly dont remember that in the film. 😛
And there is also a cue named "1m2 Pixar Logo" So its obvious an early set of sheets.
Is Buzz Lightyear oblivious to the fact that he’s a toy?
Is the Pope Catholic?
*Is the Popemobile Cadillac?
IS IT FAIR THAT PLUTO HAS TO LIVE IN A DOG HOUSE, WHILE GOOFY, WHO IS ALSO A DOG, GETS TO DRIVE AROUND AND PLAY GOLF WITH MICKEY?! (Props for anyone who knows this reference…)
Re reference – I understand the question, and I agree, it most certainly isn’t fair, but is it also a quote from something?

It’s a quote from a old Disney show… That’s all I’ll say. I want to see if someone will figure it out…

Lol! Must not have seen that episode!
Ohh…..that’s nothing. The better one is when he’s discussing all 7 of a woman’s erogenous zones with Monica and Rachel. It’s one of my favorite moments of the entire series.

August 11th The Legacy Collection: The Aristocats – Disney Wiki (http://disney.wikia.com/wiki/The_Legacy_Collection:_The_Aristocats)
Oooo lovely artwork again! 😀
It Is A Def Improvement on Cinderella
So.. isn’t The Aristocats the last LEGACY COLLECTION release? Unless they speak about Pocahontas..
Yes The Last Pocahontas Is Done For July 27th But No Artwork As Yet
Yeah, Cinderella wasn’t great, was it? Toy Story is awesome though!

Thats My Opinion
I Donno Why. I Just Don’t Like the Way The Princess Look Silly.
Maybe Dislike Is To Strong A Word. I Would Of Prefered A Nicer Looking Image They Look To Silly And Not Really Well Preportioned in the Face. The Lips On Cinderella And Aroura Look To Big.
I Think The Disneyland Was 3 CDS And Its All The Stuff Already Out Aboslutly Nothing New! That Was The One I Was Most Looking Forward To.
I hope you are wrong. :p
JUST IMAGINE… a Legacy Collection for all the Pixar films… the complete scores to all the Pixar films… official releases of the complete scores to all Pixar’s films…
Too awesome to comprehend.

Oh, and, er, this word needs "ajusting"… Don’t you think? 😉
I know. And both Aladdin and Beauty and the Beast have their 25th Anniversaries coming up. Beauty and the Beast in 2016 and Aladdin in 2017.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!!!!!
Hey, Alan Menken’s complete score for Beauty and the Beast is almost certainly worth releasing. That thing’s beautiful and it’s representation on the soundtrack is a crime.
If the LC continues, I don’t doubt it will. Have a check back and see where it landed up on my Top 10 Animated Film Scores list…
Search aristocats legacy collection on google image. Also the same way, you’ll find a very big file of Toy Story and Cinderella

If I Am Completely Honest, Doubt There Will Be Another Wave. Seeing As The Huge Pause To Complete This Second Half The Release the Last 3 Within Weeks Of Each Other….

And while future physical releases seem unlikely, it’s not impossible Disney may continue the line digitally. While it would be a shame to lose the beautiful artwork in the releases, as long as the music gets released we can’t complain.

As long as it’s lossless, I’ll accept. Otherwise, personally speaking, I still prefer physical CDs.

Sorry Sulley, but 15 isn’t a BFD. It’s not a milestone like 20, 25, 50 & 75. I wouldn’t count on it.
This is simply why Legacy Collection is good; it offers complete scores. Sourced from recording sessions.
Can’t say that about The Lion King. I was so disappointed with that release. But…I am really looking forward to Pocahontas. And also Toy Story next week.

You are making me excited!! Something definitely worthy of a wait! This is THE soundtrack for me this year (after The Sound Of Music failed me)!! I have a little question: can I email this to a friend of mine? She also loves the film, and, to share with you something – it was because I played "Colours of the Wind" for her on the piano that we bonded. Anyways – got a little carried away there. But, I wonder, can I share this track list with her? Tell me yes or no. 🙂 Thanks very much! 🙂 And really look forward to this release!!
Great! 🙂 Thanks! 🙂 Well, I thought it was some information from a "secret source" and so I thought I needed your OK. 🙂 Anyways, just emailed her. I’m going to listen to the film again (the version without If I Never Knew You)! Imagine having all this music by the end of the month!! And literally "all" of the music!
Yes, it looks quite official to me. 🙂 Thanks for the exciting preview! 🙂 And also, thanks to all who have ripped the LC for those who can only ask friends to buy things from America and bring with them to another country (like me)! 🙂
You’ve… never seen Toy Story? 😯
No, I’m sorry to say this, but it’s true. I admit, though I was born in 1996, and I believe I fit the age for films like this, yet I’ve never seen this one, not yet. I think this Legacy Collection is a good opportunity for me to get to know this title. I’ve learned about some of the old titles (like Lady and the Tramp) through this already, now it’s time for Toy Story!
Well, I may use the word "listen to" to put my picture more accurately. Yes, I’m blind. I believe a lot of other Chinese people have seen this film, but I have yet to grab a DVD. But I’m very interested in it. It would be nice to treat myself to the music first, and then the film. Another thing, sorry that I didn’t bring a photo of myself on to my profile. So you will not see how I look like. Sorry!
I would criticize and say "get the bluray", but the movie animation is not that detailed that you won’t really see a difference.
It’s very bland in comparison to 3.
"Your a toy! Use your karate chop action!"

Thanks for your suggestion, but it looks like my computer can’t play BluRays. 🙂 But discovering a new film would be very exciting!

Yes. But it was the crowning glory in 1995! Most people had never seen anything like!

I have a question: didn’t Pocahontas also debut in 1995? How well did it do? I mean, do you mean that Toy Story did better than Pocahontas?

I mean CGI films. People had never seen a film with such animation.
I think pocahontas did okay.
I think pocahontas did okay.
I see. Thanks for explaining! Now to keep my fingers crossed for the rips, if it doesn’t bother you guys. 🙂 I mean, I’m hoping for the Flac rips. Sorry to having braught this up though. Hope it doesn’t bother you guys too much, especially Hack3RMAN. 🙂
The article pointed to Pocahontas and Hunchback of Notre Dame as being ‘retooled’ to try and go after the brass ring. Pocahontas was stripped of whimsy (there was supposed to be a comic relief turkey that followed her around) and Hunchback was made darker (the addition of the ‘Hellfire" song). A few years after B&TB, the academy added Best Animated Feature – great for Disney, but it also ended any possibility of an animated film winning the top prize. Animated features are now exempt from consideration.
I’ll see if I can find the article and post a link.
Jim Hill, I think that’s who wrote the article! I’ll see if I can track it down.
I think….Jay Is…Excited By This…. 😀
And We Still Don’t Have Artwork.
So With That It Just Leaves Aristocats And Thats Complete Collection.
Now, all i need to add to these are my personal favorites:
– Aladdin
– Beauty and The Beast
– The Hunchback of Notre Dame(Believe me, if i saw this on the list, i’d probably shit myself in joy).
and many others.
This is the CLOSEST I’ll ever get at being happy with an official complete Menken and Schwartz score.
Yes Of Course. I Wouldn’t Mind Another Live Action Classic.

What? My mind is slightly turned to the minor key on that one, though I still hope that it’s a rumor. But I think it’s just meer imagination here.
:this: A lot of good stuff on that.
The stuff we got here seemed quiet.
Finally get to catch up with TS. It’s been ages since I’ve listened to anything from it.
The cowards.
Yeah, at least, for the time being. That’s what we all hope – another wave. But I think the reason behind all this is the 60th anniversary of Disneyland.
No the reason was to try to sell more complete/epanded releases of disney hits on anniversaries but it clearly failed l. Either not enough were sold or they could’nt get the standard they wanyed hence why the collection went messed up half way through.
I see. 🙂
The stuff we got here seemed quiet.

Pretty sure we can’t post links to streaming videos.
Regardless of what you are trying to achieve Sully.
We get it. You love the music.
By the way, I remember I saw this movie in the theatres back in 2006.

So we can ilegally put music, but not movies in just a link? Alright.
Yay! You listened to it! 🙂
You see, it’s not just the awesome race cues, but the quiet cues too. I regularly listen to "Goodbye" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rY2oROqLM48) as I fall asleep. But unfortunately it’s those cues that most often get forgotten and left off the OST.
lol I had absolutely no idea! It does seem rather odd. :p
I Donno, Videos Are More Frowned Upon Via Downloading Than Music.
Don’t start crossing lines you cannot distinguish.
This is an old argument.
There are no streaming movies here, no matter what section of the forum.
Torrents aren’t allowed either.
Sites can be taken down entirely a lot quicker with movie streaming.
Movie studios have more power when it comes to movies than music.
Here we just get asked to not post links (for music).
Post a movie and the whole site can be shut down without anyone’s say or knowledge.
It’s that simple.
It’s not my fault I seem bossy.
I’m stating what’s been stated hundreds of times before.
Don’t be so sensitive.
Lol Bit Of Fun, 🙂
I don’t see download links on any but the first two… Is it just me? If it’s just me, I’ll shut up.
This Is A Discussion Thread, They Have Threads In The Download Section of The Fourum.
What Ones Are You Looking For?
Maybe it’s just me, but I can’t seem to find a download link to the Toy Story release?
The search function for this forum is horrible.
Whenever I want to search the site I Google:
site:forums.ffshrine.org blahblahblah
Here’s the thread in question. (Thread 191594)
Yeah, TMI in the search page, and for screen readers, not very easy to hear all that information. I get tired half-way before finding exactly what I want. Not very efficient, I believe. BTW, thanks to Mr Gold’s help, I’ve already started downloading Toy Story! I want to thank you here, since you’ve solved my little question! 🙂 Thanks again, Mr Gold!

Upcoming
The Aristocats – 45th Anniversary (August 18, 2015)
Now That is Helpful…..
Pocahontas have a release-date of 7th August
Aristocats have a releasedate of 21th of August
(according to the updated Amazon-pages for each release)
Okay.
Both the release dates for the two remaining Legacy Collections given above are wrong.
Pocahontas have a release-date of 7th August
Aristocats have a releasedate of 21th of August

Yes Unfortunatly This Is Correct. Meaning, We Have to Wait Unfortunatly….

Thanks very much for the update. OK, looks like we still need to wait, and the info on Wikipedia needs to be updated. Well, we’ll see whether Pocahontas will come out in just a few days or not. 🙂 Good luck to us all!
They have been very lazy to update their site, especially on the release-dates that have changed over the last half year.
Hence The Reason, It Seems Likely To Be No Second Phase.
Yes: we may not get any unreleased albums (robin Hood ect..)
No: these Releases (In My Opinion) Have Been A Bit of A Disspointment.
Sleeping beauty, Cinderella and Pinocchio’s Disc 1 Was Just A Re-release of the original Cds.

And That Would Be The 4th One! I Just Love It.
I’m Not Sure Regarding That Thread, Are They Not Just DVD Rips Ect…
You can have a look at them yourself. They seem to be from official sources – some kind of platform where WDR released casettes or CDs of the instrumental tracks or something.
They are not DVD rips. I can vouch for this, having checked them over. They come from the same stems as the OST songs.
Yeah, they certainly make great supplementary material to accompany the releases we have right now. Pretty cool!
Surprisingly, Tarzan was overlooked for it’s 15th anniversary back in 2014 (then again, it’s not my favorite film IMO, so I’m not missing much as far as getting the complete score is concerned. It ranks right up there with Hercules as my least favorite film and both their scores are nothing special, though "I Won’t Say (I’m in Love)" from Hercules is the only saving grace from that movie).

Tangled I Believe Would Be To Young to Warrent A Legacy Release, Beauty and the Beast + Hunchback Would Be Ideal As They Are Very Popular And Well Liked Scores However There Seems to Be No Intention Of A Second Phase (At Least Stated As Yet)
Tarzan Is One Of My Least Fav Disney’s Very Slow And Would Seem Like A Choice Because Of The Phil Collins Input. I Am Afraid I Must Disagree Regarding Hercules It Is A Fav Of Mine And I Would Like A Complete or Even Expanded Release.

You guys are insane! 😛 I love Tarzan and Mancinas score definitely deserves a complete release! Although just like Tangled… It’s too young to have a release. It seems like the film has to be at least 20 years old, and must have been successful both at the box office and critical reception.
I Do Feel Insane/Idiotic Lately, Anyway. Tarzan Never Stood Out To Me, I Just Didn’t Like the Story or Score I Donno A Couple of Cues Where Nice But Otherwise…

I would welcome Beauty And The Beast next year – and I hope, at least, all the music heard in the 10th anniversary expanded edition, and the alternative versions used in the early version, plus the instrumental tracks. Of course, not forgeting the basic offerings of the songs. That would be my album of choice. As for Hunchback, I’m just starting to learn about it, and I’d love to check the complete score out. Let’s see how Disney would do the work! 🙂
Hack3rman was going to. I think he was going to analyse the album and see which cues had been combined.
That should be something to look forward to. 🙂
That should be something to look forward to. 🙂
He already did, like a month ago…
That was his speculation on reading the tracklist. Unless he’s done one since?
It’s probably safe to assume his analysis is correct.
Disc 1 proberly will be and 2 may be lost cords and demos.

Damn, I was sure they wouldn’t. After all, it’s an older movie and the masters for most of those have been lost. I guess I’ll have to consider my Legacy Collection purchases one short now. Fickle, fickle Disney.
Yes. Wonderful! But still, I hope for Pocahontas!!!!! 🙂
I will not fear. But it’ll be still one month till I can put the CD in my CD player. I asked a friend to bring the CD with him to China when he comes to work here. I hope that I can get a download here to satisfy my excitement. 🙂
Great! Thanks!! 🙂 I can sleep with calm tonight. 🙂
I’ll sign off for now. 🙂

In Aladdin? They censored a line in "Arabian Nights" about cutting off your ear if they don’t like your face. Don’t know about Pocahontas.

Ahhhh….Caldor. One of my Christmas trees is from there. And my Stretch-Arm Strong :p
Shame Really there is a huge demand for the classics and the music from them.
Disney should read the thread…..but then if they did we could not share them. Its a win loose sit.
There’s a link to email them on the official site. I think we could encourage them to continue if we all emailed asking them to (one can hope). I emailed once and gave them a whole list of anniversaries they could do up until 2019 haha. I also expressed interest in The Black Cauldron being available again (http://www.disneymusicemporium.com/rgshop/the-black-cauldron/) and that coincidentally happened some time afterwards.
Yeah, there’s no reason why this can’t be continued digitally. I imagine the Legacy Collection makes good money, and if they want to cut costs down then they can omit physical releases in favor of all-digital. I wouldn’t mind honestly.
Though, let’s face it. What made the collection deluxe is the actual presentation, and art by Lorelay and the booklet on the insides. Take it out, and.. what’s so special?
Yes But You Can Still Have That Digital.
The tons of previously unreleased music.
I would mind! I like having a physical product, and the fact that its lossless.
———- Post added at 08:14 PM ———- Previous post was at 08:13 PM ———-
How much, most of it has been re-releases?
I’d say over half of their library is probably unreleased…

*Just Imagine the Money Is Unreleased Music*
Well… I would mind if there wasn’t a lossless option, you’re right.
Physical release is preferred but not imperative in my opinion. I’m less of a stickler about physically owning music than I am with physically owning films.
Well, to some of us the music is as valuable as gold.
Yes.
Then let’s each of us send them an email through their website and see what happens. It’s the least we can do, and no harm can come of it.
No, I don???t agree with that.
Digital downloads are only good for people living in the US (mostly). All others can usually not buy these downloads.
I myself want the physical release in most cases and with only a digital option I (and all the rest like me around the world) are left in limbo….
Why would they only re-release the already-available soundtracks? I don’t see why they wouldn’t release more material like they have done so far…?

I Agree to A Degree, For Instant The Lady And The Tramp Has Not Got A Physical Release Here But Can Still Be Purchased On Amazon MP3 (Yes I Know People Want Lossless.) But Its A Start, Right?
What’s the point if all they’re gonna release then, would be re-releases of already available disc, judging the fact of anniversaries to come next year?
TBH I Thought Disc 1 Of The Aristocats Would Just Be The 16 Track Release Already Avaliable But, Its Completly Expanded Maybe Complete. Yes True Some May And Have Been Re-Released But There Are Some Which Have So Many NoReleased Material And Granted It The Newer Stuff. But Again All The Demos And Addition Tracks Are Bonus. And Example I Was Super Pleased With the Bonus Track On Fantasia "Peter And The Wolf" From Make Mine Music As Nothing For That Film Has Ever Surfaced And Its Clean Of SFX!
So Some A Really Warrented. Even If Only One Disc.
This is not taken directly from the soundtrack/film. Its narrated by Sterling Holloway some time after BUT he almost identically narrates the story as he does in the film 🙂
Yes. I Know But It Was A Nice Little Extra. 😉 And Feels Almost Like It’s From A Soundtrack…
If You Get My Meaning.
Yes, I Am Aware That Everyone Want The Physical I Do Aswell, But Would You Seriously Not Want Any New Music If That Was The Only Option?
Yes, I hate buying digital. So I’d illegally download every release from now on if they did that.
Surely all that matters is the music being released? If I had to choose between digital Legacy Collections or none at all I’d choose digital.
HAHA, Lol I Get Ya Point. LOL Sorry I Asked.

I Wouldn’t Care, As Long As It Was New.
:this:
I can definitely see all those happening… Except Hercules. Critically it was a mixed bag and the box office was just ok. I’ve noticed that The Legacy Collection so far are films that were successful critically (both critic and audiences), popular did very well at the box office.
So yeah, that’s another one I am anticipating, along with Hunchback and Beauty and the Beast (mainly because I love the score when The Beast shows Belle his library). I hope there will be a Legacy Collection for "Bedknobs and Broomsticks" for it’s 45th next year, as that one definitely needs it.

I do!
Oxymoron right there^.
I think you meant Hack3rman.
Well Disney hasn’t announced it yet but all the signs are pointing to it. Black Cauldron merchandise (though limited) is appearing again in Disney Stores, Disneyland Paris did a limited edition pin and the film is receiving special screenings over four days in October at the El Capitan theatre (the theatre in Los Angeles devoted to Disney films). Plus a remastered version of the film in HD has already aired on TV. It’s the film’s 30th anniversary and quite frankly all the signs are there. Plus, the bigger piece of news, a Disney employee let slip the film is scheduled for release when responding to a fan’s email.
What about A GOOFY MOVIE?
If the film has aired in HD on ABC or Disney Channel at some point, a Blu-Ray release is all but confirmed (Hercules aired in HD on ABC Family a few months before it’s Blu-Ray was announced). Black Cauldron has aired in HD so it’s release is incoming (because you know, why remaster the movie in HD just to air it on TV?). A Goofy Movie is interesting. I’ve no idea what’s happening with that. It might get a Blu Ray announced soon to be part of the October line up (coincidently when Black Cauldron is heavily tipped to drop). And Black Cauldron is likely to be October. Shortly after the cinema screenings I bet.
what is? anything good?
I’ll have to go back and check again. But I do remember Toy Story That Time Forgot is coming in November and the first season of Star Wars Rebels comes to bluray sometime in the fall…
Oh Right, Don’t Worry Going Back Mate. Just Curious. 😀
DVDs. No Further Info On Anything Legacy Releated.
No but that would be great! I’d snatch up some Legacy Collection Blu-Rays! Especially if they were steelbooks!

If this link is to belived…. its just another forum, no actual evidence it came from any source at disney. So i donno IMO.
Unless we hear something from Disney, in just gonna assume the series is done.
Let’s just hope there is a second wave, and a third, and a fourth, and a fifth! So many movies deserve this masterful treating!
Yes. You know, I used to think that our dear WDR is a not so generous company, offering us just half of the goodies to saver, until the Legacy Collection changed my impressions completely.

I’ve already posted this in FLAC… Well ALAC actually but it’s all lossless
Or is it some sort of special iTunes-only format?
Never even seen it before.
Toy Story in 24bit/96kHz
Pocahontas in 24bit/ 192kHz! WTF
Little Mairmeid in 24bit/ 96kHz
Lion King in 24bit/ 44.1Khz
Maybe someone has those already? Sounds incredible…
I doubt that, otherwise they would all be in 16bit/ 44.1kHz. Look at the Technical Infos.. there it says ‘Walt Disney Records/Pixar Studio Masters’.
they are only selling legit high res audio masters, not fake ones.
srly, lol

FUCK YOU DISNEY
FUCK. YOU.
Probably not…
so, no hunchback or three caballeros?
Well these releases fall under 2 categories… Anniversaries, and success.
If you notice, all the previous releases were celebrating a milestone anniversary (20th, 25th 30th etc…), and they were all both successful critically and with box office.
The Hunchback of Notre Dame wouldn’t qualify for the releases last year since it wasn’t celebrating a milestone anniversary. Although it will be the 20th anniversary later this year. If Disney did continue the series into this year I have no doubt that The Hunchback of Notre Dame would be included.
I have a hard time seeing The Three Caballeros getting a release though. Its 70th anniversary was 2 years ago so it missed that qualification already, and as far as critical reception goes it was very mixed. And I’m having a hard time finding Box Office information.
That would DEFINITELY happen.
this sucks.
Luckly I Manged to Get Physical For All, But Would Love to Have Seen Some More.
I was looking forward to a complete version of Beauty and the Beast (which will probably happen on November 22, 2016 or on September 20th when the new blu-ray comes, but it won’t be Legacy, but probably a new thing all-together), Bedknobs and Broomsticks and The Hunchback of Notre Dame (kinda too late, as the anniversary passed already).
Here are the links to the artwork:
I doubt they’d continue it now, though I’d be thrilled if they did. Odds are, though, it’s probably going to just be reissues with new artwork.
Disney have just announced Robin Hood: The Legacy Collection.
https://twitter.com/DisneyMusicEmp/status/866741955870560258
Oo-de-lally!
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
Bambi
Peter Pan
The Sword in the Stone
The Jungle Book
The Many Adventures of Winnie The Pooh
Pete’s Dragon
The Rescuers
Tron
Oliver and Company
Beauty and the Beast (even though the anniversary was last year, they can release this to tie in with the remake)
Aladdin
The Hunchback of Notre Dame (despite the anniversary being last year)
Hercules
Mulan
A Bug’s Life
Lilo and Stitch
Treasure Planet
Finding Nemo
Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl
Brother Bear
Ratatouille
Enchanted
WALL-E
The ones marked in bold are the ones I think have stronger chances of being released. But any mixture of the above films would make a good second wave. If there’s going to be 12 releases in this wave like the first than I’m hoping for (in no particular order):
Robin Hood
Beauty and the Beast
Aladdin
The Jungle Book
The Hunchback of Notre Dame
Enchanted
Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl
Mulan
A Bug’s Life
The Sword in the Stone
Hercules
Finding Nemo
I think Sony still holds the rights to release Star Wars music, so a Star Wars Legacy Collection would likely have to involve them which makes it difficult. I think we’re more likely to see films from Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar and Walt Disney Pictures get Legacy Collections rather than Marvel and Lucasfilm. Tron and Pirates of the Caribbean are more likely to get Legacy Collections.
Sony lost the rights at the start of the year, which is why the digital releases done this year all carry Disney’s name and not Sony’s.
Oh ok I wasn’t aware of that. But I still think a Star Wars Legacy Collection is very unlikely. Simply because it’s only a recent addition to Disney’s, well, legacy.
I don’t think the score was recorded in stereo to begin with: most pre-80s scores by Disney were not. Fantasia was recorded in "Fantasound" IIRC, which mimics stereo but is still technically mono.
I hope so too!!! Here’s my top wishlist for both!
Animated:
– Hunchback
– Aladdin
– Beauty and The Beast
Non-animated:
– Summer Magic
– The Happiest Millionaire
– Bedknobs and Broomsticks
I highly agree!!!
And OLIVER WALLACE???s WHITE WILDERNESS as well.
I can’t find it anywhere, but I’m so excited!
The soundtrack to Robin Hood is 2 disc. The disc splits during the arrow tournament, then heads to the 2nd disc.
Basically, it was exactly the kind of information I wanted when I had just asked.
The soundtrack to Robin Hood is 2 disc. The disc splits during the arrow tournament, then heads to the 2nd disc.
…then why split it in the first place (unless it is an LP)
IF the tracklist floating around the internet is correct (the tracktitles are the same as on the promo pictures) then the score is just over one hour..so why split it?
Amazon says it has 41 tracks with 90 min of music…so there has to be more….
Amazon listing says
"A 2-CD set that features 41 tracks and contains over 1 hour and 30 minutes of content. Disc 1 includes the original songs and score from the film. Disc 2 includes bonus material like previously unreleased demos and bonus tracks. This is the definitive Robin Hood collection targeted to die-hard Disney music fans and uber collectors."
and here’s the tracklisting that’s floating around:

someone in another forum said:
"I bought the CD at D23 this weekend and the 41-track listing above is correct. "
and I found these quotes:
"Not sure how reliable this is, but some guy apparently spoke with the Disney Emporium people and says we can expect a Legacy release of Beauty and the Beast at some point.
Here’s where the guy mentioned this, but take it with a grain of salt until we get more official information for now."

"I can confirm this. I know someone who is working on this project."
Amazon has it too: https://www.amazon.com/Walt-Disney-Records-Legacy-Collection/dp/B072KNL1G6
ordering the amazon one myself tonight.
It is a little odd that we still haven’t gotten a Legacy Collection for that one, isn’t it? I suppose the original stereo elements haven’t been located yet, as the previous releases were all mono if I recall correctly.
I know, what I meant by "like Aristocats or Lady and the Tramp" was "in the same way as Aristocats or Lady and the Tramp." Sorry, bad wording on my part.
Ah, I see.
It really is. I would’ve thought they’d have released it to coincide with the release of Favreau’s CG remake, but it would seem that was after their first "wave" of Legacy releases.
Can’t wait for my copy of Robin Hood to arrive 😀
You should, Ichabod and Mr. Toad is a great movie! I’ve always loved it, watched it so much as a kid, even though the Headless Horseman used to scare me so badly lol. It’s ridiculous how little it gets talked about these days. Seriously, nobody talks about this movie at all for some reason…Just because it’s a package film doesn’t make it bad you know. In fact it’s probably my favorite Disney movie overall.
And for the sake of keeping this post on-topic, I’ll also say that a Legacy Collection of Ichabod and Mr. Toad would be awesome too. The underscore by Oliver Wallace (fun fact: he played Mr. Winkie!) is really really good, just listen to the music from the Horseman chase, or the scene when Toad escapes by train, the music in both of those scenes is just fantastic.
If anyone comes across further details, please post! 🙂
Definitely buying this because it’s my all-time favorite movie, period!
?
Alan Menken’s score for Beauty and the Beast hasn’t been released apart from the five tracks on the released soundtrack. Besides, this release is guaranteed to be a big seller which will lead to more Legacy Collections.
It’s also one of Disney’s most celebrated scores.
But this has been re-released so many times.. I don’t care if it’s gonna be complete and expanded, I want new unreleased stuff.
Never Enough Menken!!
But this has been re-released so many times.. I don’t care if it’s gonna be complete and expanded, I want new unreleased stuff.
There’s only ever been one version of the Beauty and the Beast soundtrack (the only new addition has been Human Again). Alan Menken’s score, often called one of Disney’s best, has never received an expansive release.
Yes it would be nice to have a film that doesn’t have a released soundtrack, but at least we’re getting an expansive release of one of Disney’s best scores.
Plus, this line needs a massive seller to keep it going. They can’t just keep doing the less popular movies. They need to do the more popular films to keep the line going. This release is going to be massive and will probably ensure the films you mentioned will receive a release.

Agreed! The complete underscore of the film can only be heard in bootleg DVD rips but the quality is usually not good and the recording quality is not very clear. Beauty and the Beast is bound to be one of the most commercially successful Legacy releases!
We finally got "Robin Hood".
Certainly many other (or even all) previously unreleased albums will appear.
I’m happy about every new album from "The Legacy Collection".
"Patience is a virtue", as a certain user used to say. :p
I completely agree with this sentiment.
Believe me; I want a formal release for "Rescuers", "Fox and the Hound" and every old Disney score under the sun, just as much as Mr. Ponyo-Bella-Notte. But, a company can’t thrive strictly on soundtracks that are, in all honesty, not going to scrape in very much cash (I’m frankly very surprised that Robin Hood happened at all, especially after such a long hiatus when the ‘Legacy Collection’ line had lost all momentum). Every once in a while, it’s necessary to do something big — something with a large audience who’s eager to shell out cash for a stylish CD release, like one of the 90s/Alan Menken scores.
However, considering that this year marked the 40th anniversary of The Rescuers and Disney still skipped over it in spite of their moronic "release a soundtrack to coincide with a film’s anniversary" rule, I am going to disgruntledly assume that Disney doesn’t find it notable enough to release, along with The Fox and the Hound, all of the package films, and most of the studio’s older live-action features. For crying out loud, I even recall someone who claimed that Randy Thornton said that "Rescuers" would never be released simply because there’s not enough "demand from the fans". Bah…
For now, I think the best thing to do is hope that Intrada picks up all of these scores that Disney has proven itself completely uninterested in.
Actually, someone whom I spoke to from the Intrada crew told me that "Rescuers" would "probably happen some day", though I’m not going to take that offhand comment too close to heart.
Ohhhhh… my ballot for that poll must’ve been lost in the mail! I’d MUCH rather have "The Rescuers" over "Beauty and the Ad Nauseam"

First cover art for this series I’ve been disappointed with really. With so many iconic moments from the film to tackle such as Belle on the hill, the ballroom dance, the first meeting of Belle and the Beast, Belle and the Beast in the snow feeding the birds etc. the artist chose the Beast’s castle which is a rather uninspired choice. It’s a lovely cover, but for a film this iconic and this well regarded, you’d think Lorelay Bove would have wanted the challenge.
I mean, this shot was practically begging to be turned into the cover.
It’s so iconic, it’s important to the story and it’s practically featured in the Celine Dione and Peabo Bryson music video…
We’ll surely get a more representative illustration.
I mean, this shot was practically begging to be turned into the cover.
neither image spell beauty and the beast that much. the beasts castle maybe, but no your image.
the rose is the single most iconic thing in the movie.
this was done in 40 seconds in photoshop just to give you an idea.
The source image comes from this concept art created during the production of the original 1991 film:
If you ask me, I’m predicting that the final artwork will be based upon the ballroom sequence. It’s nice and inviting, features the main cast, and seems like it would generally fit in best alongside the rest of Bove’s Legacy Collection artwork.
EDIT: Whoops. Disregard my redundant message. When I was skimming the recent posts to see if anyone had pointed this out, I somehow missed gurrea21’s message.
We’ll surely get a more representative illustration.
Thank god for that

Now THAT is a cover. Guessing the songs appearing again on disc 2 is the instrumentals (finally some official instrumentals for the songs).
No sign of any demos or anything, but I can live without those for a more complete version of the score (time will tell if this is actually the complete score).
It must be the work tapes…. I mean, the only instrumentals that were really released that were apart of TLC were the instrumentals to Toy Story, which I find a shame that no other instrumentals…
Upon future releases, whatever they may be, I hope other instrumentals are released on the albums.
The only instrumentals we DO have weren???t released ???commercially??? for years…
So who knows, right?
There are 2 portions of Belle, so the could be the worktapes(with the reprise of Belle)
Full details. Lot’s of score!!
Full details. Lot’s of score!!
Lots of score, indeed! I’m very much excited! But looking at the score details, it’s my understanding that some cues might not be there? For example Battle In The Castle is listed only 2 minutes and 27 seconds, but it’s 5 and a half minutes in the soundtrack album. I guess there must be "something there". Let’s see how this title will turn out. Or maybe Prince J could work on getting missing cues with higher quality from sources? I only have a DVD, and its audio is in AC3, so not usable, I guess.
It could have been split and the rest of the castle battle cue where Gaston is fighting the Beast, etc. are in "Death of the Beast".
I’m surprised the original 1991 album edit of "Death Of The Beast (Original Early Version)" isn’t on here, since it was on the 2001 Special Edition CD.
I personally didn’t want "Human Again" though, but after listening to it, it’s no where near as bad as "The Morning Report" from "The Lion King", IMO. Here’s hoping either Prince Jay or ggctuk (ggctuk’s film edit of "The Lion King" is fantastic in every way) makes a complete theatrical film edit for this one.
But judging by the poor unfortunate mistake in the Finale track of The Little Mermaid, and the interesting editing cuts and things we hear in Pocahontas, I have to doubt the engineers.
That reminds me, I was considering making a somewhat complete edit utilizing TLC and the 2006 remastered CD (for the film version of "Fireworks", as it contains the chorus as heard in the film, something that TLC omitted), and reading the assembly on Chrono-Score, I gave up when it came to "Poor Unfortunate Souls". The track, "Ursula’s Lair" contains an instrumental portion that’s heard in the film, but combining both the album cut and this track was a nightmare. Again, here’s hoping someone could do a great job for a film mix for this one too.
I was thinking the same thing as you! I don’t think there’s any need to worry that they left cues out. They always sort of merge them oddly 😛 The cues are actually much shorter than most people realize (they divide them up into smaller chunks for the recording sessions). For example in The Little Mermaid, "Eric to the Rescue" is actually 3 separate cues.
Requests aside, I hope that the prologue in Beauty And The Beast would be clean of narration.

You call these "humble tries"? I call these practically perfect in every way!!!
Well, I’m actually looking for the album version of the track, without the film version intro. But the album version without the opening spoken monologue. I hope I’ve explained it clearly now, haha. But thanks so much for the files!!! They are great!!!
I hope once I get Beauty and the Beast, I can make the film versions of "Gaston" (with the "my what a guy, Gaston" from the reprise tacked onto it) and "Something There" (the original theatrical cut immediately goes into the Beast’s bath music. Here is that original theatrical version, sadly it’s in Greek because all the English language ones are from the Special Edition and goes immediately to "Human Again": https://youtu.be/ylZTuthX-yQ?t=2m2s), unless someone beats me to them, that’s okay. I wouldn’t mind collaborating for a complete original theatrical film mix project. 🙂
Is there a different version of Part of your world? I used in both cases the legacy version as a basis and replaced the dialogue
Edit: took a closer look at the track(s) and I know now what you mean…
Well, I checked online and found that two compilation albums have the track that I’m looking for – the clean album version of Part Of Your World:
1 Ultimate Disney Princess, released in 2005, or 2 Disney Princess: Princesses, released in 2011.
These two compilation albums have that track, without the monologue, which is what I’m looking for.
You seem to be a really talented music editor, you can even remove the sound effects and speech in Poor Unfortunate Souls, just like Prince J! So amazing!!! I wish I can be able to do this! 🙂
http://www.mediafire.com/file/pf5bx8q9hfffap5/BB%20G.rar
Yes! Like that. 😀
Thank you and congratulations! You’ve made a great film version of that song.
Thank you and congratulations! You’ve made a great film version of that song.
to give credit where it’s due….that wasn’t me …that’s from the 3 CD complete film rip…I can’t remember who posted it originally…
Now that I remember….yeah. I think it was EmpireSB’s complete film edit. 😀
Still, a great edit EmpireSB made, along with The Little Mermaid.
Yes, empire SB did a great film edit of Beauty, and it was really interesting to hear how he did it. I believe that’s because he has multiple DVDs of the film that he can pull it off?
Digital editing is so amazing! Let’s see how the engineers will do to Beauty, but I have a feeling that the cue that underscores the castle tour, as well as the little cue before Human Again, might not be there.
I don’t think we need to worry 🙂 I compared the runtime of some of the “isolated score” bootlegs against the runtime of the new LC soundtrack and from what I can tell, the LC release will have everything, plus a little more with Human Again and the underscore that intro’s that scene.
We will find out for certain soon! Does anyone find it odd that Disney Music Emporium hasn’t said a word about it, and yet even Amazon is pre selling it now and showing the official cover art? Are they intending it as a surprise? I can’t believe they’re not promoting it in advance or advertising.

Thanks for your comparison and comfort. Looks like I’m off to a great winter break! Yeah, it does feel kind of interesting, but I just hope it’ll be a great release. That’s all I hope for!

Apparently there was a typo in the first batch and so they delayed shipping out but Amazon just emailed me today to say I will be receiving my pre-order between the 15th and 21st.
A few lucky souls out there have already received their copy! (with the small typo):
Now this makes it easy to make that original theatrical Film Mix I’ve been wanting to do (without "Human Again" and other film edits, etc.), unless someone will beat me to it, haha!

Actually its not the first time the whole score is on a Legacy release. Toy Story has all the cues as well. In fact some of the cues are unedited as it was originally recorded. The only problem with the Toy Story release is that two cues crossfade where in the film it was separated. But thats really it…
It missing one Cue about The Rose before they are singing Human Again
———- Post added at 09:24 PM ———- Previous post was at 09:08 PM ———-
I hear two problems in this release. There’s a weird fade-in-and-out at the beginning of Be Our Guest, and there’s a little click at 2 minutes 5 seconds mark in "beast lets go", and the pauses in the cue are shortened compared with the OST album. Other than these, this is a great release. But I really think that the engineers should learn from those people at Intrada or the former CD releases from Film Socre Monthly, ETC.
Yeah, but Human Again was also not part of the initial version, but was included in this issue. So it’s a pity that they’ve left the cue out.

It does sound like a lossy source… Not sure what’s going on, maybe it’s the ripping? If one of us gets an actual CD pressing, this would be confirmed, I’m sure.

I have a little question, do you think this is 16/44.1 recordings blown up to 24/96? I hope not, but I can’t help thinking about it and doubting.

How did you do that? It was great work! Did you actually get the voice-only recording? I wonder where did the "her" come from? It sounds clean, and without any musical intrusion.
no…I got the "her" from the actual film itself…cut out the "their"…spliced everything together…
the music in the film is a bit lower so I superimposed a small part of the instrumental version of the prologue to get a "flow"
and tagged the clean ending of the orchestral version to the end.
took me some time to fit everything together…
I also did a film version iof Gaston but I am not 100% satisfied yet since the tagged-on ending still sounds a bit different than the rest

Wow! That’s a lot of work indeed! I wouldn’t imagine myself doing it, though I might fix the fade-in-and-out issue in Be Our Guest, at the very beginning. But that will carry out when I get my actual CD copy next month – which is still a long way away…
I dont quite care about the film version of Gaston, since I prefer more music instead of less. The film version just tags on the conclusion from the reprise, no new stuff…

So been a while, wonderful to have the additions of RH & B&TB.
Hopefully some others soon?
Aladdin, Hunchback, Rescuers, Sword in the stone ect..
Well, my personal physical copy of Beauty And The Beast will arrive next week. It has taken more than a month to ship this all the way from America to China. But once I get it, I’ll find out of Something There and the b&tb single are sounding healthy and not lossy. Wish me luck! 🙂
Rh was one of those grails you never thought would happen.

Yes, for me, it was the first time hearing Robin Hood.

Good luck!!

I have a feeling The Nightmare Before Christmas will be next. It’s celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, it’s hugely popular and Disney makes a ton of money from it. And it would give Disney an opportunity to release Nightmare’s complete score from the hugely limited Danny Elfman/Tim Burton music box.
That is actually a excellent point and would be incredibly welcome.
I’m hoping we get Aladdin and Hunchback eventually, maybe Dumbo? I requested all 3 on their survey when you pop in the disc to a computer.

I can’t wait for my copy! Maybe I can also take part in the survey? I hope so. 🙂

Is there a URL for the survey that you could share or PM? I put the discs into my computer but neither of them made any survey pop up 😐
I second this. I’d be happy if I could perhaps slip them a quick suggestion for "Rescuers", seeing as they apparently believe that there’s no demand for it. I’ve heard from at least one source (from the well-respected Randy Thornton, no less) that Disney won’t release that film’s score simply because they don’t think there’s an audience for it. I can only hope that their attitude has changed in the years since, seeing as Robin Hood was apparently viable for a big-budget Legacy Collection release.
I’m not sure which disc set let me do a survey I think it was the sleeping beauty one? I’m pretty sure it was the last one I got from the library. If not it was the Beauty and the Beast one.
strange thing is.. I got a few incarnations of this score on CD…OST, Special Edition etc…and the newer ones seem to have these tracks as lossy-sourced too….
at least the Music Behind… CD seems to have a correct version of these 2 tracks
Other than that, I can’t think of anything that I could think of that needs expanded scores, other than any of the other PIXAR films like "Monsters Inc.", "The Incredibles" or "Up" though I could see "Up" for an expansion next year, as it’s the 10th Anniversary and it was a very big deal of a movie, especially if you consider that it was an animated film since "Beauty & Beast" to be nominated for Best Picture (Toy Story 3 followed soon after, making it the third movie to be nominated in that category. After that, it just stopped…)

I LOVE all those suggestions, with my 2 favorites being Mulan and Hercules. I really love both those scores! I also love your suggestions for the Pixar stuff as well but dont forget next year will be the 20th anniversary for Toy Story 2…
I hope it,one of my holy grails
Also, the harpsichord sounds faint in the first half of "Enchanted Objects" track (start listening from 2:34 to 4:09 and see what I mean). This is a good release in many ways, but interesting mixing decisions like this, and the way the battle with the objects is mixed, shows that I can’t put my OST albums aside just yet. As a fan of the music, I can’t help but notice these differences…

Source?
While not a source, it was evident once "Robin Hood" was released on its 44th in 2017, rather than 2018 on its proper 45th. For me, it just paves the way for quicker releases on this line, rather than focusing on one big anniversary like the home video re-releases.
At least we’re thankful to finally have "Robin Hood", though I would have opted for "Pete’s Dragon" as well that year. Plus, I would love a crystal clear remastering of the showstopping and Academy Award nominated "Candle on the Water". If Helen Reddy doesn’t melt anyone’s heart with that song, it might as well be made of stone. It’s by far the best film song of ’77, along with Carly Simon’s "Nobody Does It Better".
