I’d like to point out, before listening to any of these, something that literally no one (apart from me) seems to even remotely address.

If you used that MIDI + soundfont thingy (for Sonic Advance especially), you’ll notice how sometimes the tracks are out of tune. Neo Green Hill Zone Act 2 is a good example. Listen when the actual melody starts, and you’ll notice. There’s also a lot of unnecessary modulation, or in basic terms… wobbliness in sounds. Especially organs. E.g. Secret Base Zone Act 1.

Is it still muffled?

I like how the bass was harder in the first version but everything sounded so muffled and soft.

It wasn’t sharp like the original….

EDIT: Whoop, I didn’t read the OP info, silly me. I’ll just see if this version is the better one.

If it isn’t, thanks anyways! You’re doing god’s work nexus, and we love you for it.

I decided not to make my own thread so people could find this link easier, which is here:

https://mega.co.nz/#!PMEGRTAa!aZA6taKYUOUOKcMqjmJNeWDPdNrThyw5ibEI7EM Q61M

I like your version but it didn’t have that "OOMPH" I was looking for and this link would be an alternative to it.

Here are the pros and cons for mine.

PROS: Sharper Sound, No Reverb, No Filters.

CONS: Scratchier, Tagging is half-assed (I.E /ROUTER/ 99 Zone) and some jingles aren’t there because I didn’t think I would ever upload it, also they’re not looped or extended. They are all a minute long in average so it’s a half pro if you use it for .BRSTM in-game mods.

You guys can do whatever you want with these files, re-upload them, extend them, etc I don’t mind.

You should download both, compared and contrast.

If this gets enough attention I may redo this entire thing.

THIS IS ONLY SONIC ADVANCE 3.

I like yours better because it’s the original. Can you please upload it in FLAC?

Yeah. Seriously, you should make a normal, non-enhanced version of this. Honestly, GBA music sounds weird and bad when it’s enhanced.

GBA music sounds weird and bad in general. Just convert the GBS files yourself if you want the original sound.

Since you have improved on ripping and improving GBA music, would it be okay if you can re-rip this music collection?

Can I suggest the possibility of getting the MIDIs from the Japanese Android version of Sonic Advance 1? Having played through the game myself, Sega had to remove the tracks originally composed by Masato Nakamura (Starlight, Emerald Hill, Scrap Brain, X-Zone boss themes, invincibility) with replacements (notably the continue theme, E.G.G. Station Zone, Boss -Pinch- (both from Sonic 4 Ep. I), and a remix of the introduction)

Wait, Sonic Advance is legally on Android in Japan?
