Correct me if I am wrong, but from your initial correction post when you got the PM from the Studio, was as though a request was made to you from distributing the soundtrack. I assume you purchased it from the store or from the bundled steam version, which you kindly honored by editing the post. Bear in mind, you did also post for a mod to close the thread. Then today, a turnaround, as though it never happened. It kind of calls your action into question.

I didn’t see the original post when it went live, only saw it after it was edited, explaining why you did, which I saw nothing wrong with. It’s not the first time a Composer/Studio has made a request to halt the distribution of their said product on FFS. I wasn’t displeased with it, because given the reputation of the Studio with Bastion’s acclaim reception, Transistor will most likely follow suit, so inherently the soundtrack as well, as a result will probably pop up again, but the thing is, it would have been better for it to pop up somewhere else than here again, showing that FFshrine is still respecting said owner’s wish.

I did not pre-order/purchase the game, nor the soundtrack, kinda busy right now. I would probably still purchase the title, in the future, like I did for Bastion through the humblebundle, which somehow I ended having two copies of both game and soundtracks. Now the thing is you adverted your decision and continued to share the soundtrack release. Even though some people posted the title again, I assume no member lurks on FFshrine 24/7 to know all that happens, and might have missed your thread.

Normally, when a request as one which came to you occurs, the album is blacklisted on FFshrine. Probably the Mods missed your post, then again, you could have PMed one personally, and have them take it from there with your thread and any that springs up along the way.

I presume you would like the Studio to succeed, as I as well, but you seem to be doing both supporting and undermining them by still distributing the soundtrack, even though their YouTube channel is streaming the entire soundtrack like you said, and don’t forget the amount of page traffic FFS generates.

Please try and understand, I am not trying to be cheeky or anything, it’s just the way I see it.

Transistor and its soundtrack is fantastic, it’s about as good as it gets for an indie developer. They totally deserve all the moneyz they can get. If they don’t get the moneyz they starve to death, if they starve to death they can’t make more games. Please support the food and send it to devs. Much love respect.
