Anyways, this is my first OST. I’ve downloaded tons of OSTs from FFshrine before, and even though I’ve really never played a Final Fantasy game before, I figure this is a great time to give back to the forums.
Anyhoo, without further ado, I present, to you, the A Link Between Worlds OST!
FLAC and MP3 Versions HERE (https://mega.co.nz/#F!w9xijJRL!nw1d0YlFbvfOwwLfQS1MFg)
FLAC and MP3 versions are included. Songs are ID3 tagged with album art.
This is my first OST rip, as I said earlier, so if I did anything wrong, or need to redo anything, let me know! 🙂

EDIT: I removed the link. Go here for better quality audio: Thread 186632
1. Tracks 7 and 8 are both tagged as "You Got a Small Item!"…track 7 should be retagged as something like "You Got a Key !" or "You Got a Big Item!"
2. I’m not too fond of the track numbers being "split" (i.e. 50a and 50b)…I understand using them for variant tracks, but tracks 57a and 57b aren’t variants (likewise, the Lorule Castle tracks are counted separately).
3. This is [I]extremely nitpicky (the reason why I’m putting this very last), but there are some inconsistencies with track names (spelling, capitalizations, continuation of titles [i.e. "Hyrulian Boss Battle" goes to "Boss Battle (Lorule)"], et cetera) that you might iron out.
Again, these are really just nitpicks…otherwise, your rip is much appreciated!
please teach me?
I guess since it also includes a botched version of the Milk Bar Death mountain music is also a telltale sign its a rom rip.

Thanks for the feedback. I’ll fix it once I get more feedback.
I’ll fix a bunch of issues at once.
Mucho thanks to you and your friend!
Mucho thanks to you and your friend!
🙂
Because that’s awesome if it’s true!! Thanks again for the music, robotortoise!! ALBW is honestly one of my favorite Zelda games!! (This coming from the guy whose first Zelda game was Ocarina of Time.)
Eventually, yes. But I’d like to get more feedback first, as I want to do all the corrections at once.

Does a ROM rip (in this case) mean we can finally extract the music files from 3DS games?
Some people can; I can’t. A friend of mine did this for me.
Sorry, what I meant to ask is if this meant that it’s finally possible to rip the music from the 3DS ROMs, not if people can do it (because your friend already did).
And, by the way, the music sounds GREAT!! None of that hissing noise a line-in rip tends to come with!! So don’t think I don’t appreciate this, because I DEFINITELY DO!!
This could have been ripped in two ways:
1. Through a RAM dump of the game
2. Through actual rom decryption methods.
I would like to believe it was the first one, not the second. Because even though there are people who KNOW how to DECRYPT 3DS roms… they won’t share it because "HURR ENCOURAGING PIRACY". Which is retarded, but eh, what can you do?
Anyway, big thanks to you, robotortoise1 for uploading this amazing thing here. And props to your friend for ripping it.
EDIT: This is the real deal, holy shit! Just a heads-up, if you’re going to offer MP3; I’d have 320kbps over 90kbps. It’s not really an issue since I can convert FLAC, but for future reference.
EDIT 2: In the unused track, is that…a gunshot at the end?
the boss defeated fanfare is missing the first half unfortunately
It’s actually only in the original version, I got confused by it too.
[QUOTE=The12thGripper;2658765 EDIT 2: In the unused track, is that…a gunshot at the end?

It sounds to me like the slam that happens with the breathing sound effect. Apparently the breathing sound effect isn’t part of the song.
Good, since "Yuga Flees" converts with popping or not at all and "Swamp Palace" converts into a silent song for me. I would also love to see you try to get that missing fanfare from your friend.
Errr….I could release them as converted wavs, not sure about the bcstms.
You said you’re going to upload a V2 version, right? I’m looking forward to that one c:
My friend gave me the sound effect files, so I’m combing through them for the breath sounds at the end of 2 of the Milk Bar tracks.
EDIT: Nevermind I’m an idiot. Apparently they were in the music tracks the whole time.
Anywayyyyys I’ll get started on V2 ASAP. I have stuff to do, namely school, TF2 server stuff, etc, but I’ll finish it ASAP.
Also I’ve got the jingles. 🙂

On an unrelated note, apparently the Botched Death Mountain theme can be made to play ingame.
Or so I’ve heard. Can anyone provide proof of this?
Since your bud sent you the SFX tracks, the HOME Channel music should be in there if Super Mario 3D Land is anything to go by. Do include that as well!
On a side-note, is your friend willing to rip other games? I’m curious to see if there’s any beta/unused tracks in X/Y (and it would also be nice to get the original version of the Xerneas/Yveltal battle theme and the Happy Birthday song directly from the game) and some other games I would also like to see rips at some point of are PMD: Gates to Infinity, Super Mario 3D Land, Mario Kart 7, Mario Tennis Open, Mario Golf: World Tour, and probably a bunch I don’t remember.

Unfortunately, he’s not actually distributing the files himself. He has a friend who’s giving them to him. It’s like a chain of friends.
Anyways, I’ll check out the Main Menu music thing. 🙂
Try 7-zip.
I can’t recall where they’re used.
Jack_0829.wav = failed a minigame/died in treachery tower/possibly died in general
Jack_0875.wav = got a key or minor item …i think???
I think the rest is various stages of minigame success
Jack_0926.wav
Jack_0828.wav
Jack_0927.wav
Anyways, V2 is uploading now. Should be ready in an hour or two.
Prepare your download buttons, everyone! 🙂
There were supposedly synthesized files. I’m gonna try to convert them.
By this, you mean the HOME Menu jingle? That’s like the easiest thing to record, I can do it for you.
———- Post added at 09:17 PM ———- Previous post was at 09:07 PM ———-
First song I played ‘Baseball Minigame’ has a lot of errors in it. If it’s V0, just convert it to 320kbps.
?
Can you elaborate? I use foobar for conversion.
at least 3 files are missing
at least 3 files are missing
Really? I loaded the .mp3 versions and they go up to 134, but the 109th is missing…
…besides that, I can’t tell how happy I am for this, thank you so much^^
EDIT: ok, I just noticed #127 is used three times xD

Gahhhh well nothing is missing aside from the numbers themselves, though I am missing some CSEQ jingles.

Open up some of the files in a hex editor. Most of them are full of zeros after the song ends. Just reencode all of the songs to get rid of the zeros.
What I did:
– I fixed the numbering of the tracks
– I retagged almost every track, either marking tracks as Event or Fanfare and correcting misspellings or better terms
– I recorded the HOME Menu jingle (and did my best to adjust the volume to the rest of the tracks), completing this gamerip from what I’m aware of!
Without further adieu, here is the download link! (https://www.mediafire.com/?csxfm9h8jlxlrud) If you think I can improve my tags further (or anything else), PM me (it would be helpful if you also included what I should change it too) as I’ll notice that much quicker than a reply.
Also, would you mind making some FLAC copies? 🙂
Also, would you mind making some FLAC copies? 🙂
It’d be easier if you just posted my link in the OP. I’m not very familiar with editing FLAC metadata or how’d I even do it, so no can do for FLAC.
Heh. I wish. 🙁
The normal settings. Just do something like
for /r %%a in (*.flac) do flac -8 -f "%%a"
Do you know how many dual-layer tracks there are, dude? :/
what program and or codecs do you use?
who were you responding to?
who were you responding to?
I was responding to The12thGripper.
ah ok
Yes.
I know people who have done it.
Some data for other 3DS games has moved around and we may be seeing soundtracks (FLAC, mp3) for a handful of the A-list games sometime soon.
Nobody said anything about reencoding from bcstm. Reencode the current FLAC files.

Only if hcs knows about this, will we be so fortunate. I’m looking forward to this happening with Wii U.
furry bob, did you know this was possible? I know you’re a fellow ripper, so you might have.
EDIT: So, research shows that this is RAM dumping, and we’ll be seeing a lot more surfacing soon, as dumps have been made of a lot of other major titles.
hcs? I don’t know who that is, but I do know that stuff (raw data) is ready and potentially being worked on.
Don’t know anything about the progress on the Wii U front, though.
robotortoise! help,This connection failure??
There are a small number of people that have modified their 3DS in order to dump full file systems. So far it’s possible to decode bcstm, and also rip sounds and sequences from bcsar archives.
Venouney
Also, thanks for Link Between Worlds! It’s great to finally have Dark Link Battle, Octoball Derby, and Irene’s Theme!
This perhaps means that Paper Mario Sticker Star and M&L Dream Team’s Soundtracks might be ripped soon enough during the summer or later this year.
I don’t have any other gamerips.
The way it’s working right now (to my knowledge) is the people who provided my friend with these files have cracked the 3DS’s game ROM encryption. However, they don’t want to release it due to what happened with the DS. (In short, the homebrew scene really took off, but the piracy was rampant, being so simple a child could do it. (*cough* myself *cough*)
Anyways, so while I’d certainly love to get more files and rips for you guys, I’m not the right guy to ask. The best I can do right now is MAAAAAYBE release the bcstms and/or .bscar archive. Depends on if my friend thinks it’s okay.
I’m not promising anything.
Anyways, good luck guys! 🙂

Convert the FLACs into MP3s. You could just download the link I provided instead as well.
I liked and responded to this post! WHATYRE YA GONNA DO NOW PUNK
Oh my god. I just found it. I know what you did with this soundtrack. With a particular song. You thought no one would ever come across it, didn’t you! But you were WRONG! I’ve done it! You’ve been had! What do you have to say for yourself robotortoise?
You’re right about that thing.
what??
Wait, it wasn’t you? Maybe an easter egg?
Listen to Meet Yuga after 1:13. That doesn’t sound like the game to me.

I assume you mean yuga’s theme as La La’d by Yuga?
he does that at some point in the game, if i recall, it certainly isn’t Robotortoise singing, it’s definitely Yuga

good god, are you sure about that? i don’t remember that at all

Ohhhh. I thought you were just being strange! Now that post makes sense.
Anyways, yeah. You’re both right.
It’s not normally in the song, but it IS a sample taken from ALBW. Yuga sings it.
skip to about 17:20

You win. It sure sounds funny by itself though!
oh. i didn’t mean to imply i made it..
i just saw it and thought ""Robotortoise needs to see this" you know? just cuz of your name
Thanks .
😀
Another Link? :p
Yeah! Are you one of the OoT timeline branch Links, descendants or Skyward sword? Because I’m specifically the Hero of Time, I suppose I’m going to have to be from OoT or MM…

Well, I am the one from Twilight Princess.
Oops.
No, I just numbered it wrong.
Sorry man. It’s one of the few sequenced tunes. 🙁

I wonder if my talk with A0numa-san influenced this…
but this is amazing news.
Wonder if it’ll be higher quality than my rip?
I wonder how much of the music from the game will make it onto the actual CD, I’d guess not much.
Eh, considering how much of it is a stream, I’d say about all of it.
This is so good it might even surpass the freshly announced "official OST".
I doubt it, to be honest. The bitrate in this is…kinda low, as I just had to go off of what the cartridge had. And Nintendo’s official rip will probably have some of the sequenced jingles/music.
Ah, maybe you’re right. I’ve seen it pop up on eBay every once and a while and assumed it was out.
I shall hold out hope until November!
it’s actually here Download Weathervane ringtones to your cell phone – between legend weather – saved | Zedge (http://www.zedge.net/ringtone/1663290/) but i would like to have it a little bit cleaner.
i didnt find it in game-rip from the OP. Anyone could help me
Am I just stupid? I found the post, but I cannot find the link.
It was post #7533 of The Lossless Video Game Soundtrack Thread v2, right?
I removed them about a year ago because the official soundtrack was released, and it had much higher quality audio.
better quality but missing tracks
Oh. Welp.
I just checked my files, and I don’t have the files anymore. I’m sorry….
I just checked my files, and I don’t have the files anymore. I’m sorry….
i do but converted to mp3. if anyone want’s them anyway and it’s ok with mr robotortoise, i’ll reup
Hey, that’d be fantastic! Please do.
gonna have to wait a few days till i get home
