Taku Iwasaki Music Collection (Ultimate 2014 Edition!)

Since the old Taku thread is beyond dead I decided to start another one up. This contains all the OSTs where Taku is the head composer. If someone wants to posts his small contributions to other OSTs I will add them to the thread. Sorry for the somewhat tacky representation of the thread but have you ever worked really hard on something only to accidentally cause all of your work to disappear in a puff of smoke causing you to go into a fit of rage? Yeah………that happened to me so i didn’t feel like going through the process again. These links were taken from bakabt, animemp3, nippon, animeost, other contributors on this site and myself. The links are all MP3’s with loseless only being provided in the uploads i did myself. The older uploads are very hard to find in good MP3 quality and most of them are 192 kbs. Still very listenable though. But just about everything from Gin-iro and up is 320 kbs. If anyone has better quality versions of the older OSTs feel free to post them and I will update the links. I will also take Loseless/FLAC if you wish to post them for any of the osts here. Kekkashi a big new score that i couldn’t find 320kbs MP3 for so help with that one would also be appreciated. If any links go down please inform me and they will be reposted as soon as possible. Everything is in the order in which is was released. With that said enjoy the Taku goodness ^_^.

I can help to a certain extent. If you don’t mind, could you post the bit rate for each album?

I’m saying "certain extent" because while I do have some older albums in lossless, they are heavily altered for my own listening pleasure. Off the top of my head, I can supply both Yakitate albums in full, and maybe GetBackers.

I also have Kekkaishi in lossless but it’s edited. Binchou-tan in lossless can be found here: https://mega.co.nz/#!VRgwTBjY!E4YuNCep0s816jO0OKI9xQ9mgYwRS7qOa7oGNXt VBRQ. I believe it’s 100% intact.

Alright the bitrates are up. I could definitely use the Yakitate albums. Those things don’t even exist anymore outside of torrents which i’ve been having problems with lately =/. Thanks for the Binchou link I shall add it to the thread :).

About Rurouni Kenshin ovas, I know that the box as some new added tracks, but I have somewhere the released Ova soundtracks, do you want to add those to your collection, or not?

The two individual releases have the same songs from the premium collection right? I think it would just be better to leave those out if that’s the case since it would just lead to unnecessary clutter.

No. the individual soundtracks have less 2 tracks. And it’s not premium, it’s complete cd box.. The premium collection release is just boring.

I can up Kekkaishi, but it’s not a personal rip – it’s from share or winny days, I don’t even remember anymore. (Don’t know what Akashi San means by "edited". I certainly don’t have the original rar but the files were not modified.)

If anyone has lossless Kuroshitsuji II Selections, that would be awesome.

^ By edited I think Akashi means that he erased the less interesting tracks and only left the worth while ones. I find myself doing that often with a lot of Taku’s works recently. But if you the score in it’s entirety I’d gladly add it here.

For those who don’t know what is this file format:
TTA/CUE (True Audio Lossless Codec + cue sheet) is a lossless compressed disc image exactly like FLAC/CUE (Free Lossless Audio Codec + cue sheet) or APE/CUE (Monkey’s Audio Lossless Codec + cue sheet).
Uncompressed disc image is WAV/CUE (Microsoft Wave + cue sheet) or the traditional BIN/CUE (Binary ISO image + cue sheet).
These image formats can be converted in your favorite audio format (lossy or lossless) with a lot of free or retail softwares on Windows and MacOS X.

So, LeatherHead333, if you share this link in your main post, you could label this as ‘True Audio Lossless Disc Image’ or ‘TTA Lossless Disc Image’.

It seems there are corrupt files in the Witch Hunter Robin OSTs. I get corrupt messages and "unexpected end of archive" errors.

I truly regret not downloading all these when I had the change. I hate myself so much right now. Leather, kind sir, my brother from another mother (I’m sucking up if you cant tell lol) are you ever going to reupload all these?

It will happen eventually but I’m thinking about changing this collection to request only. I really don’t want my account on MEGA to get deleted again and the more files I have on it the more attention it will get. I’ll try to get everything gathered up by this month.

Iwasaki-san is a really good composer. For me he is lately better than most of the japanese composers especially than Sawano-san. Waiting now for his Qualidea Code ost. Still 17 days till release. 😀

Listening to the music though, there are only two tracks by Iwasaki not on the OST, and both are pretty cheap synth filler leftovers. A bit disappointing, but I suppose that’s to be expected from these sort of secondary releases.

More than likely I’ll just do bulk uploads (a bunch of soundtracks in one pack). Having so many links makes it more likely for my account to get terminated again. I have most of the music (including current stuff) I just don’t have my own personal connection right now. I should have everything back sometime next month.

I would not mind helping you and upload my files, but I have been having a lot of working space on my mega accounts. moving pictures, storing isos and such. thus why I have been not really uploading demon mode as I used to. :/ i can however if you miss something, to upload for a limited time so you can grab it and upload yourself.

That would help. I think i have mostly everything aside from some albums Taku wasn’t the head composer for. We’ll see what is missing later.
