SUMMARY:
The world’s hopes for the next generation of energy resources rest in the miraculous discovery of Dr. Juuzo Kabuto and his associates, Photonic Power! This mysterious energy is derived from the rare Japanium ore found deep beneath the base of Mount Fuji. In his quest for world domination the nefarious Dr. Hell and his associate, Baron Ashura, attack the Photonic Power Laboratory, seeking to seize control of this new power. While in the shadows looms the mysterious spectre of the Kurogane House, whose motives and goals remain far from clear.

Meanwhile, Dr. Kabuto has secretly begun work on his greatest invention. When his grandchildren, Kouji and Shiro, encounter one of Baron Ashura’s Mechanical Beasts en route to attack the Kabuto mansion, Juuzo is forced to take action immediately. In the face of imminent danger, Dr. Kabuto launches the Pilder, sending it to Kouji so that he may join with and pilot the giant robot, Mazinger Z, to rise up in battle against the evil forces of Dr. Hell.
