Herv Roy
La Folie des Grandeurs
(Delusion of Grandeur)
Here is the original score for a french cult comedy film with Louis de Funs and Yves Montand, directed by Grard Oury.
The famous singer/composer Michel Polnareff provided the whole score with the help of Herv Roy. The film is some kind of spoof of Ruy Blas by Victor Hugo.
Even if the film is a comedy, Polnareff delivered a very inspired soundtrack. The main theme for example is really "Morriconesque" and epic, but the soundtrack worth the download just for "Thme d’Amour", a truely wonderful melody. I’m waiting for your opinion on it 😉
Yves Montand, who plays Blaze in the film also sings at one point (Flamenco Blaze). He had a singing career too.
Anyway, enjoy !
By the way, this is my own rip of a very hard to find CD.

your ost has more diversity than his radio music.thanks for the inspiration.
Many years later I discovered that Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones were
session players when this song was recorded in London (1966).
Thanks for sharing this rare Polnaref!
