Not an in-line rip. Also "Race Results" and all of the "Race Victory" songs are unfortunately sequenced and could not be ripped.
ALSO: PM me if you are able to rip some of these songs in for me to add into this rip and to spoil, songs from Super Mario 3D Land as well. (Beat Blocks and Channel Menu for both games)
Enjoy!
This soundtrack will be enough for me until the eventual Mario Kart 8 gamerip in the future.
Keep up the good work!
So I take 3DS ROMS have been decrypted?
That exists???
EDIT: I guess ROMs have been decrypted privately but you can also get data by dumping the game’s RAM.

How come all the songs sound glitchy?

Are you using iTunes?
!!!!!, Rainbow Road is my favorite Race track in the game and it’s music is inspiring to me. I loved the fact that you mixed both parts in one track. 🙂 It really blended well in final result. 🙂
I don’t know what that loop is, I don’t have the game or 3DS to test it myself. But these are the titles of the sequences that I’ve looked at.

The BASIC reason is this… THE PAGE CAN NOT BE FOUND!
Please people, use a fucking host that everyone uses. Instead of all these stupid fucking pricks like billionuploads.
Just use Mega, or Mediafire. At least with those, it’s easy to download.
Or to put it another way… IF YOU USE BILLIONUPLOADS BURN IN HELL!
I meant to include an example of what it sounds like, sorry. Here it is, using a trick in-game to make it play in Time Trials. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E3z7TYPW808&list=PL6akIKaXBeU34NdD_uKVwrU6Kl3AG6uN4&index=13) It usually fades in and out depending on your placement to the other racers, and I’ve also notice the BPM of it go all over the place after you use a Star. (Even though it doesn’t play when you have a Star.)
a) Pick out the (streamed) audio files within, and
b) decode said audio files?
I can’t help but be very curious 🙂
I’ve been in anticipation of a SFX-less rip for a while now. I really couldn’t bring myself to listen to the rips that have been floating around since the game came out. It’s such a huge difference in sound quality listening to the songs like this…and I’m finally enjoying the hell out of them.
Thanks again!! 😀
I just use vgmstream to play BCSTMs. I didn’t know it could actually rip them from a 3DS ROM.
Just use the word play, you literally said the same thing you said before.
It must be sequenced. It must be a single sequence coded to change BPM depending on the song that’s currently playing.
Thanks so much for this! Question, though: after getting the RAM dumps, what software did you use to:
a) Pick out the (streamed) audio files within, and
b) decode said audio files?
I can’t help but be very curious 🙂
I corrected myself on the post earlier. It though it was data dumped from RAM but it was actually from 3DS roms being privately decrypted. If you do have the RAM, you can still extract the data from it.
For 3DS streamed audio specifically over here’s a program that might help:
3DS .CWAV Dumper | GBAtemp.net -> The Independent Video Game Community: 3DS, Gateway 3DS, NDS and R4, Wii, PSP, PS4, Xbox One and all the gaming universe (http://gbatemp.net/threads/3ds-cwav-dumper.361437/)
Use VGMstream for Winamp or foobar2000 to decode the audio:

Oh right. Like how people might use something to rip audio from a Moving Pictures Expert Group Phase 1-2, Audio Layer III file?
I sense sarcasm!

But more seriously, !!!!!, I can’t thank you enough for your dedication… My music library is now half full of your rips
I love this soundtrack a lot. Maybe more then the "8".
