is the final fantasy 4 prologue theme used in this commercial only used in the commercials itself or is there a full version on the OST or something? o.o

Hmmm I don’t think i’ve heard that one before. Going to do a bit of looking around for it because I like how it sounds. Any help would also be appreciated ^^

It doesn’t appear to be on the OST. Neither is the FFXIV arrangement of Terra’s Theme used in this (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q8RuIXX4ntc) commercial.

Also there’s a version of Battle Theme 1.x used in one of the commercials that has a definite ending instead of a fade-out.

I’m hoping that these are released on an OST+ at some point (hopefully along with the beta version of The Dark’s Embrace, and the 3 unreleased tracks from 1.0 – the track used for the opening movie, the arrangement of Relics used for the Monk job quest, and the Dalamud arrangement of "Answers" used in the final days of the game)

Yeah, that’s definitely an unreleased version of Final Fantasy – I’ve never heard that version before.

And I agree Jonah that I’m hoping some of the unreleased tracks from both 1.0 and the early Alpha and Beta versions of ARR will eventually find their way onto a new soundtrack album, as they’re just too interesting to ignore (such as the original title music for the Alpha version of ARR which was released as the second part of the track Serving the Light on the OST, the Alpha version’s original Guildleve theme that was replaced in the Beta by the track Tenacity, and both opening movie tracks, including the abridged version of Answers on the ‘End of an Era’ trailer.).

Given the fact the OST didn’t include any of the tracks from the 2.2 patch (other than Battle on the Big Bridge Reborn as a secret track), it’s highly likely SE already have such an album in the works anyway.
