My original LP had only the first two works. I waited a very long time for this recording to appear on compact disc. The Symphony #3 is a dynamic work with an edge of your seat finale. Symphony for strings should make Bernard Herrmann fans wet their pants� pure energy and a thundering pulse.

lenny at his best, great recording, i own it a long time, but no new recording is better in my opinion.

neither his own re recording with the LAPO on DGG.

The string symphony was played on the radio just a half hour ago… curious… kept thinking, I have heard this somewhere before.
