Symphony № 7 titled "Dances of Life " – a monumental and highly paradoxical work . It lasts half an hour, and is essentially a symphony and ballet and at the same time . Five-piece symphony – it’s five paintings with allegorical choreography that can be evaluated and as illustrated story of human history and religion in the form of the symphony and unique "danses macabres" in a new way . Compared with earlier symphonies Tournemire in 7th noticeable notable progress in orchestration and orchestral colors , clearly influenced by the composer’s last works of Richard Strauss , Debussy and Stravinsky – former romantic modernist suddenly . We have a literary symphony program that opens summaries parts: 1. Dancing primitive times 2 . Dancing Pagans 3 . Medieval Dance 4 . Bloody Dance 5 . Dancing future. The writing is quite challenging , with intricate rhythms and melodies are not always clear , for it requires listening to the mood and a modicum of patience.
