SIMON BIRCH (expanded score by Marc Shaiman) (lossless/flac)

This touching film from 1998, based on John Irving’s novel "A Prayer for Owen Meany," takes place in the less-tolerant 1950s and follows the life of a young boy who was born smaller than other kids and must deal with all the difficulties (and eventual triumphs) his condition faces. The commercial soundtrack included just 4 snippets of score, while this disc (the FYC Promo according to the FSM comment board) has 16 tracks of Shaiman’s heart-warming music.

Great stereo sound. No dialog or sfx.
Tau and EAC indicated all tracks on this disc to be lossless.
Disc was ripped to FLAC using XLD.

Thanks very much – very enjoyable. One track sounds very much as if Randy Newman had written it – I smell a temp track! But it’s a good imitation, and not a bad thing, in my opinion; and the rest of the score is pure Shaiman.
