Incredible! Where did you get these?! I thought it was another one of those terrible dialogue and fx jobs. Superb quality!

I’ve had these for about ten years now – a friend made me some CDR copies – I don’t know what the original source was, obviously unofficial. I hesitated uploading these for a while because most of the tracks were unidentified, so I sat through some very ropy copies of the movies to get track titles. Added my own artwork. The scores aren’t complete but they’re a good sampling of them. Glad to see there are a few Kirchin aficionados on here 🙂

Thanks for sharing feedthecats! Nice surprise finding this. I also have some rare basil music. I have these film soundtracks also on cassette along with soundtrack to negatives, mutations and some other tv work Basil did. I am in process of getting them professionally transferred to wavs. I will put them up soon. The person i got them from told me these cassettes belonged to basil himself. I’ve every reason to believe him as i brought an old barometer from him which was awarded to basil and his father ivor by new musical express for britain’s top small band. So nice to hear others here also appreciating basil’s music, which of course is why i want to also share with you all

I brought a HooToo Portable USB Tape Cassette To PC/MP3 Converter today. I figured In the meantime I would have a go with audacity to get some good recordings (noise removal etc). fyi, here are the tracks I have…

especially late 60’s early 70’s

sorry for the delay, here is the first one. This is a great oddity from basil kirchin. all it says on the cassette is The Sorcerer’s theatre music and dance company. The slap bass and lyrics made me think possibly early 1980’s? I decided not to mess with recordings in the end, anyway, enjoy, more coming! david.

When I saw this just now, I realised that I had these already – but couldn’t for the life of me think where I got them from.
Checked on my hard drive and oddly enough they dated from 04-21-2014.
I think that puts it in the good chance that I got them from you first time round.
