I’m shocked more people haven’t asked for this. It has always been one of my favorite Horner scores. Horner repeats himself a lot – everyone knows this. He’s got a bag of tricks and goes to it often, but every once in awhile he takes the effort (or has the time) to dig and find something new. Those are always the scores of his that stand out to me. I’d say this score was probably his first big leap into something new after getting onto the A list with Star Trek 2. For anyone not familiar with The Land Before Time, it’s more than worth the effort.
