PM ing for Newbies

Hi there,

I have read the many posts on PMing but wanted to mention that I wish you could PM sooner than later. Here I am writing yet another post just to get some posts on my belt.

You do know you could also contribute to the rest of the discussions on the forum, to increase your post count. Though I can guess why you want PM access sooner than later…

is this why people bump?

"Bumping" is a way to repeat a request without creating a new thread. Used reasonably it’s cool. But a lot of folks bump repeatedly, somehow thinking that if you request an item here, you will just automatically get it. And they get impatient and start doing things that ironically make it ever more unlikely they will get what they wasnt. 🙂

Bumping gets your post to show up at the top of the list, since posts are sorted by most recent items first, and older posts can get hidden way down the list.
