Hello everyone. I have a number of of posts/uploads for Hitman Absolution gamerip soundtracks. I would like to thank the generous people who worked very hard to rip, arrange, and upload them. However, I noticed a common problem with all the rips I have listened to so far. Most of the tracks in these rips have audio "hiccups" that sound almost like clicks. I looked at these sound files in detail and it looks as though when the audio files were spliced to create these tracks, it created some unclean overlaps and gaps between the splices. As a result, these hiccups occur throughout most of these tracks.

I own the game but my technical knowledge in ripping the music is very limited. If possible, could anyone who has the expertise be so kind as to rip/upload a "cleaner" version of the Hitman Absolution soundtrack? Thanks!

Hi, this should go in the Video Game Requests folder, I think.

Is there a way to move this thread to its proper folder?

Hmmm I’m not sure.

I’ve been able to get most of the music out of the .RESOURCELIB files in lossless; the 5.1 (6 ch) songs and cutscenes are unrippable as well as a few others. The soundtrack comes up to nearly 1GB or more.
I’ll link you guys to the sites that showed me how to do it.

Are these files unaltered? If so, do you mind posting them? Thank you in advance!

Sadly, no – the files from each song are split up into 10 second segments so combining them all is a problem… Also, there’s like a 0.40 second difference between the intro and outro of each of those segments. Unless someone can come up with a proper way to rip all the sounds from the game, well there’s nothing we can do. I can try, but that’s gonna take a shitload of time to do. Another game that has this problem would be The Simpsons Game. Great work by Christopher Lennertz, but that game also splits the music into mini-segments.
