In such a short time you have done more than most, and your efforts and quality of output were consistantly above the norm.
You will be missed and I have certainly benefited greatly due to your postings. You made a nitch for yourself, in the good old musicals, and thrillers (fred astaire, gene kelly, howard keel, judy garland, especially) that I can’t see being fullfilled by anyone else.
Again I thank you. You will be missed.
thx in advance
thx in advance
i am really sorry but the links are dead.
Although Brigadoon never did well at the box office, and even though it was made when I was aged only 2 years old, when I first saw it on TV (years later I may add) it has stayed with me for all this time.
Gene Kelly, in my opinion, lived somewhat in the shadow of Fred Astaire (apart from maybe Kelly’s ‘Singing in the Rain’), but I also believe that Kelly was a better actor (see his ‘Inherit the Wind’ to see what I mean) and his singing and dancing were as equaly entertaining as Fred Astaire’s.
Brigadoon was classy and contained a brooding theme that, and again it’s only my opinion, makes it deservedly a true musical classic.
Again many, many thanks for the link.
Link received, great score!
Thank you,
Steve
Very much appreciated as always !
