THE RESCUE (unreleased score by Bruce Broughton) (lossless/flac)

In this 1988 family action film, a team of Navy Seals is sent on a mission to destroy a damaged submarine before it falls into enemy hands, but are captured before escaping. Considered expendable by the US Government, the Seal’s teenage sons mount a daring rescue mission. Broughton’s tense and rousing score was never commercially released, but 12 tracks appeared on this bootleg disc as well as on a Concorde release. Although not appearing in the same order, the music is the same, though the Concorde version did not have track titles.

12 tracks totaling over a hour of music.
Great stereo sound. No dialog or sfx.
Tau and EAC indicated all tracks on this disc to be lossless.
Disc was ripped to FLAC using XLD.

update May 2014: Intrada has just released this score with 23 tracks and, no doubt, in much better sound quality than this bootleg. If you like this music, you should definitely look into Intrada’s newer release.
