True the Crusaders version is still available. This version however was arranged and performed by Doc Severenson with Randi Crawford. It is faster paced, extremely powerful with a powerful horn section and full orchestra in the background making it so much more an action movie theme. I have no idea why the intro, heard over the first minute of the opening credits was not included on the album.
I pulled the intro from the DVD and then edited in the version from the song heard on the "Jakie Brown" soundtrack. Until Varese offered the Sharky’s Machine soundtrack a couple of years back this was the only way to get a digital copy. All in all this is in my opinion the best and closest edit to the original film version that has been made. Let me know what you think.

Thank you so much ! Had the original LP back in the days… The original version of "Street Life" is 11 minutes long and can be found on the Crusaders album "Street Life".
Very good editing ! Thanks, it’s true this version is much more powerful than the Crusader version.
