I was one of the many, many people who backed The Banner Saga on KickStater last year. I received an email with the link to download the soundtrack last night. Now, some of you may view this as sacrilegious or even apocryphal. If you do feel free to throw a couple of bucks Austin’s way (Austin Wintory) on Bandcamp or something. Another great work by Austin Wintory, and one of the greatest soundtracks in this year. Complex, with force, different…The winds are amazing. The percussion and the voices too. The composer recognized the influence of John Corigliano and ”Circus Maximus”. The world of the Vikings is represented with a primary sound, very strong, and occasionally lyrical. One of the jewels of this year. The soundtrack can be heard for free on the website of the composer.
