Mary Poppins – Original Broadway Sampler – Sherman Brothers / George Stiles

After years of searching, I was finally able to get my hands on the promo recording of the original Broadway cast of Mary Poppins, featuring Ashley Brown and Gavin Lee as Mary and Bert.

As any fan of Ashley Brown will tell you (and they will tell you), Disney never recorded or released an official album of the Broadway cast, but they did record this sampler, and sent it out to Tony voters with the original London recording. With the exception of a song or two being played on Sirius, and the release of "Step in Time" on the 45th anniversary DVD, the album has never officially released to the public.
