I found this entire composition from another link on the forums, but the quality wasn’t up to par, so I converted the audio to 320 kbps and the sound is greatly improved. Thought I’d share this masterpiece with everyone. =3

Hey, does anyone know where can I find a first part of the avalar theme?
I found it many times on youtube but with awful quality… and it is not included in the compilation here… does anyone know where can I get it? Here’s the one I’m talking about:
The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon [OST] – Valley of Avalar Full Theme (Part 1 & 2) (HD) – YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VPYILPacwwU)

You’ve probably run across this before, but I found another video that has the song separately from the merged version. However, like you said, its quality seems somewhat muddled compared to the game’s audio, if I recall correctly. Despite that, I’d at least recommend you give it a listen, and if you like it then I can add another link to the Eternal Night tag. Here it is: DotD Soundtrack – Valley of Avalar (1) – YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EMKMcebheTU)
An interesting tidbit… According to some of the Youtube comments, the first Valley of Avalar theme is actually a revised version of the "Credits (With Choir)" song from A New Beginning, which is included in that upload. After giving it a listen, I discovered Rebecca Kneubuhl and Gabriel Mann apparently added more instrumentality to the theme to give it more of an adventuresome mood fitting for the openness of Avalar Valley. That’s possibly my favorite area in the game.

Hello again! It is very interesting and funny at the same moment. After I made a post here I researched a lot and actually downloaded the whole compilation from here to make sure that I didn’t miss anything, because someone on youtube said that they reuse some of the songs from previous games. I found that the Credits (With Choir) from "New Beginning" is actually the same thing as the valley of avalar part 1. I made a comment as "gedozvon" (its my channel) on : THIS (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CkBMCPzZne0) youtube video (the very recent comment), and I figured that you actually found out about this from me, wasn’t it? haha! Although I forgot to post my speculations here.
Indeed, it is my favourite part of the game. I can’t say if the theme is revised, although it made me happy for now. Also if you are interested in other versions of this theme – there is alternate version of this called "Temple To Freezer (With Choir)", again from the New Beginning.
DotD is one of the most beautiful fantasy/action games i’ve ever played.
Anyway, thanks for posting the soundtrack, cheers!
What a coincidence! I actually did read that very comment you’d posting while I was hunting down that missing piece and decided to share it here. It’s a small world, as the saying goes.

Temple to Freezer is included in the New Beginning upload, under Track 21, although it’s lacking the "With Choir" text in the title. Came that way in the original link I found elsewhere. From my memory of playing the game many years ago, it’s theme that played when Spyro flew from the Dragon Temple to his various destinations, Freezer being the first one. Such a beautiful theme which became one of my instant favorites.

No problem at all. Enjoy the soundtracks. =]
What?
All three download links still appear for me.
Maybe so. Do the links work for you now?
BTW my system is a Mac OX Maverick using a Safari 7 web browser.
@Heropon Riki: Thanks a lot!! BTW, how did you achieve a better quality? did you just re-converted a low bit-rate source to 320 kbs? or did you use an "original" (high bit-rate source)?
(I am also wondering the same question as the previous post)
Thank you for sharing this ! I am just wondering, is it the best quality is it possible to expect ? Or there is a way to get it in a kinda lossless quality ? :-3
(I am also wondering the same question as the previous post)
The files were upscaled from 128 (I think) to 320. I don’t remember which audio quality it was originally, but the files were notably improved after the upscale conversion was done. As far as the lossless goes, the original source I ran across was the best quality I could find at the time. I’m not sure of a way to make them pure lossless quality unless someone with the know-how can do it directly from the game’s music files.
I forget to remove ReplayGain from A New Beginning and The Eternal Night though.

That worked! now I have the files. Thanks man.
PSN recently had a Spyro trilogy sale, where you could buy Spyro 1, 2 and 3 for $1 each. Needless to say I bought ’em immediately. I missed that purple dragon man.
No problem. I can be patient. 🙂

Not wanting to revive an old thread, but I really want to know the proper order for these game’s soundtracks. I’ve grown to actually like the scores.
+1 Yes, please! I have hackerman’s gamerip but it’s a mess to convert and guess music. 🙂
Also, I wish someone would be able to make an ordered tracklist out of the gamerips..
Why am I just hearing about this now?
I did, too, yesterday night. A 23-track official soundtrack that got online in 2007 but pulled out later after Activision thing, I guess.
If you still want it for collection reasons, it’s still in the first post.
I don’t see any corruption in the MP3 files, and it has been taken off from buy EVERYWHERE not just iTunes, so I assume it was taken down when Activision took hands of the franchise. It was kind of a failure, TLOS, sadly so Activision may have wanted to delete everything they could .I dunno.
Someone must have it.
I’ll settle for a (high-quality and tracked) gamerip if the iTunes files are gone forever.
Please, don’t convert (or edit) anything. If you have the original iTunes (m4a?) files, then those will be just fine, as they are.
Thanks!

I had the second one too, but it was corrupted and I could never play it.
Oh, and one of the first 3 tracks has an artifact or something in it. I complained to iTunes but they never did anything about it.

And a massive thanks to Flyerite. One day I will learn to rip PS2 games myself, but for now I will use your copies.
