Killzone: Shadow Fall Custom OST

Hey everyone, its been a real long time since I did any custom ost’s, but playing this game made me want to. As many know the official soundtrack has been delayed (indefinitely as far as I know), so I scrounged up as much as I could – it’s not a lot, but hey its something. Having played the game, I noticed some of the cues were reused in certain sections. So I just tried to base the track names off different moments in the game when that particular music played. If someone wants to make a different cover, their welcome too. I kinda just threw this one together. Cheers!

Hmm interesting. . .I have a Ps4, but to my knowledge I thought downloading the soundtrack wasn’t possible because the Ps4 cannot support mp3 playback at the moment. I’ll have a look at it on my system, unfortunately I’m not sure I have the code it talks about. Even so it seems you can only play the music through the system. . .IF it plays it. Best case scenario I might be able to record it through my PC or something.

EDIT: I checked the section that article talks about, and theres nothing under "Other Items". Its either they took down the soundtrack, or cuz I don’t have that code it’s not showing up. Oh well.

Also in regards to the official soundtrack accessible only through the PS4, does this mean it can ONLY be played on the PS4/Playstation products and nowhere else? So if I bought the OST on the console, I wouldnt be able to then copy the files to play my Ipod or laptop?

If so that’s lame as hell.

Well that official OST is packed as a PS4 application, so yeah can be played only on PS4, there’s no way to copy the music anywhere. Maybe some future firmware update will change this.

Well that sucks, hopefully they’ll fix that mistake.

Didn’t the same thing happen with Killzone 3 though? I remember pre-ordering the game and the soundtrack was launched through an application on the PS3, but either the OST was released as a downloadable or I somehow transferred all the files over to my computer…

That’s because PS3 had the support to copy things (mp3 music, photos, videos, even PS3 game saves) to external devices.

Seriously though, almost three months have passed since Shadow Fall OST release, if there had been any way to copy the music, I’m pretty sure somebody would have shared the files by now 🙁

Well very poor, controlling maneuver on Sony’s part….cant imagine it helps the OST’s sales either (seriously, why buy a soundtrack when it’s restricted to a GAMING system?)

When I get a PS4 though I’ll see if I can record the OST to PC and share it here. It may not be the best quality, but at least it’ll be something. 😛

Don’t worry. Copy to external devices will come. Same with the Xbox One.

I didn’t buy any ‘next gen’ console this time around when you have great hardware with only a few software features available. Even basic features as MP3 playback are coming soon.

Where is the time when you bought a fully featured product that didn’t need patches… Now it’s rushing out the product, earn the money and fix later…

And it seemed to me that this track is playing on any of the space stations. Friend, can you explain how you record these tracks? The first three are in good quality, but the latter is something bad. Did you record with a microphone? I can not understand why it turns out at one time, but others do not get. 🙂

With Free Recorder, i try to get a great quality but the tool is useless to decrypt correctly soundtrack.

Just a thought, because I’ve wanted this soundtrack forever. If someone actually got it during the preorder, and they own a vita, you could remote play it to your vita. Line out from the headphone port into a computer, and with the right software, record each track into mp3. I would totally do it if I had the soundtrack. But I don’t.

One would think that among all the ps4 preorders & stuff somebody got a hold of this OST 🙁

To my understanding, the way you get the OST means people cant just rip the audio files. …That said, i dont quite get whats stopping people from doing something like using video capture hardware to record the sound & picture as the tracks play, separate the tracks, then make MP3’s (or whatever) from that.

It was part of the "Shadow Pack" preorder thingie so specifically you must redeem a preorder voucher code and only then you can see the OST under KZSF Extras section when browsing the PS Store (on a PS4). So no preorder, OST not visible. I don’t understand Sony at all.

Looking on YT i’m amazed that no one has recorded a video of this OST screen straight from their PS4. Its like a mythical creature, no decent footage proving it exists. I mean i know it does but why dont we have anything besides screenshots?
