Many tancks
Just finished it and then started from track 1 again! I usually don’t enjoy modern scores so much, but grabbed this because of the composers’ former greatness with Perfume… and while I was just expecting another monotonous suite of wallpaper music, this was bursting with flavour, with little musical gems to be found in most tracks. Not quite as successful as Perfume, as that score hinged more on great motifs, where this score adds flair to dramatic underscore and action cues. That said, it does occasionally fall into that generic percussive beat, but doesn’t distract too much.
Well worth a blind listen!
