This is almost entirely sound effect free; the stage clear fanfares have some minor unavoidable ones. I recorded it with a Behringer U-Phono UFO202 (same as The Iron Goat used for his older Sega Genesis recordings) through the Wii U’s analog outputs. If someone wants to buy me an HDMI card I’d be happy to redo this and some other games as lossless digital recordings for you. Recording and editing was done in Sound Forge 10. (The drop-outs in the first track are supposed to be there.)
I don’t know who wrote the new music because the game has no credits to my knowledge. MobyGames’ entry for Dr. Mario Online Rx credits Masaru Tajima for sound, so I put his name in the artist tag for the repeats. The Retro Remedy versions of "Fever" and "Chill" (which are also repeats from Online Rx) are clearly based on Seichi Tokunaga’s arrangements for Dr. Mario 64 while upgrading the synth. I put Hirokazu Tanaka in the composer field of the tracks which are arrangements of music from the original Dr. Mario.
I did all I reasonably could to find all the music in this game, but I’m not going to play to level 100 on hard mode on the off chance there’s some new music hidden there. If you find something I missed let me know and I’ll try to get it if it’s not too ridiculous. Enjoy!
However, you forgot the credits!
