In this 1995 comedy, Kurt Russell plays a gruff (and one-eyed) sailor who is hired by a bickering family to pilot them and their valuable sailboat to Miami. They get lost in the jungle, fight off storms and pirates, but Captain Ron not only gets them to Miami, he brings the family together in the end. For this breezy upbeat film, Nicholas Pike contributed a lively score peppered with the sounds of the Caribbean: a little reggae from Belize, a mambo for Cuba, some samba in Puerto Rico…

Yespa!!! OH. MY. GOD! This has been my #1 most desired score for AGES. I didn’t even dare ask if anyone had it here because I just assumed no one would. I don’t know anything else by Pike (never looked into it), I just love this movie and always enjoyed the score along with it. This and Nate and Hayes were my two big secret score desires. I actually sent an email to Trevor Jones a few years back asking if he ever had any plans to release the score for Nate and Hayes. Never heard an answer but about a year later it came out, hahaha. Now that I have this one, thanks to you, my life is complete, hahaha. Unbelievable! Thank you from the bottom of my heart! You da MAN!
