Changelog:
Version 1.0 – Release version. Originally provided by Vahkiti (http://forums.ffshrine.org/members/vahkiti-396111), I changed the Korean tags into English, added composer data, fixed the artist data, as well as merging the 2 split albums (marked by CD1 and CD2) into one.
Version 1.1 – Corrected some title data that I mispelled. (Thanks RandomTBush (http://forums.ffshrine.org/members/randomtbush-62182) and Cevan (http://forums.ffshrine.org/members/cevan-928620)!)
Version 1.2 – Included a (somewhat) higher quality cover image.
Version 1.3 – Updated some title data with more accurate translations. (Thanks yoshi17k (http://forums.ffshrine.org/members/yoshi17k-171258)!)
Version 1.4 – Updated artist tags, new cover art (Thanks Ffahm (http://forums.ffshrine.org/members/ffahm-822777)!), and a special version of Beep Block Highway provided by nothingtosay (http://forums.ffshrine.org/members/nothingtosay-329155).
Version 1.5 – Updated artist tags and fixed release year.

2-10 Captain Toad plays Peek-a-Boo!.mp3
This is more of a nitpick, but "Plays" should probably be capitalized.
2-15 The Bullet Bill Bridgade.mp3
"Bridgade" should be "Brigade". Only one "D".
2-17 Pirahna Creeper Creek.mp3
It’s "Piranha", not "Pirahna". VGMDb has the same mistake on their track listing.
2-37 Captain Toad’s Fiery FInale.mp3
The "I" in "Finale" is improperly capitalized.
Thanks for sharing this, though I already got this from the other link and edited the titles myself.

Mistakes at VGMdb? Impossible! They are flawless, you know. if VGMdb tells you a composer is his own fan because his game is not published by a big enterprise, you better believe it or Efendija will punish you.
Enough with the sarcasm, thanks for the re-tagging, anybody can have a typo but tagging in Korean a Japanese release is ridiculous.

Finally! I downloaded this via a link provided by Vahkiti (http://forums.ffshrine.org/members/vahkiti-396111) and fixed the tags (Korean -> English, added Composer field, fixed Artist field, merged 2 CDs into 1 album, added album artwork). Enjoy everybody! (https://www.mediafire.com/?sa3tpoeuq885z13)
This is just what I need! Also, I like the new Super Star theme!
Can’t imagine how that Koopa guy is gonna react. He’s been posting in the old threads like every single day. If anyone is gonna be excited for this, it’ll be him.

Thanks for these fixes! Are there any other track titles you’re aware of that need to be fixed as well?
Edit: Just found another track title that needs to be fixed; 1-21 Sprawling Savannah
Should be "Sprawling Savanna" without the "h."
I know, however the in-game level spells it without the "h."

Well, this is embarrassing… I’ll get that fixed, thanks!
EDIT: Fixed, updated links in the OP!
Can I ask for some HQ album art? It’s killing me.
Can I ask for some HQ album art? It’s killing me.
I couldn’t find any, might have to wait for somebody to do some scans.
EDIT: I got something that’s a bit better, it’s in the OP.
That’s the problem I found with the tags, is more of a localization than a translation, and to make things worse, VGMdb has now two tracklists that are exactly the same even though one says English and the other localization.
I would gladly add translated and romanized track list but if a certain staff member likes localization over anything else more correct, he’ll delete it, so I won’t.
Like I said I would, but I’ve had it with VGMdb "standards" that depend on the mood of the new staff member who reviews the edit. So, here’s for FFShrine only, a proper translation and romanization (not Romaji, that is something else).

Since I don’t have the game, I don’t know the proper names for some characters or places, namely Tsukkondor and Bunretsu.
i also got CD today
so i decide not to open it
I have been waiting for to so long~
If you still have the extended files, I wouldn’t mind having them featured in the OP once you’re all done.
It sounds like the lower notes on the Shifty Boo Mansion are getting a bit squished. Is this the way it is on the CD?
Yes, I’d love to see them looped! Sometimes Nintendo has a knack for distributing only a minute and a half or maybe two minutes of a song when it could be longer. This has been the case with Zelda for awhile (up until TP, I guess you could say), where the majority of the songs are shorter than they could be. Majora’s Mask, for example, has a grand soundtrack, but again, the songs seem cut short; Tatl & Tael (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GtcJ8hQpuaQ) is one of my absolute favorites and could be lengthened to three or four minutes. Of course the composers probably reduce the length so that they can save disc space for distribution purposes.
So, with that said, I’m happy that you’re doing this. =]
It sounds like the lower notes on the Shifty Boo Mansion are getting a bit squished. Is this the way it is on the CD?
It’s probably because of the nature of MP3 compression, we’ll have to wait for a lossless rip to see if the CD was mastered like that. Maybe Vegeta has it already.
Love this game. I’m surprised at how well the Jazz works for this game.
Do you mean The12thGripper to update the tags or me to update the tracklist?
I don’t do contributions to VGMdb since last November and will never do it again, I’m not banned, but I have my very personal reasons for that.
The12thGripper, will you really do another version?
Just tell The12thGripper to update the tags and make it version 1.3!
He’ll be really, really awesome for that, especially after uploading to all those mirror servers. Take your time, though, it must have been quite a drag doing what you’ve done already, thanks once more.
I will inform you on this thread when they’re all done. (i guess) Or should i PM you? (and should I split the songs? Intros and Loops? or together?)
PM me.
EDIT: MediaFire link for V1.3 is now in the OP!
I reduced the saturation a bit, changed the background and the two logos at the top, trying to match the image on post #1.

That does look quite a bit better! I’m not sure if you’re able to do this, and I do apologize for being nitpicky, but is it possible at all to sort of brighten up the gray streaks going around it (and any other things that need it), like it is in this picture?
Again, sorry if I’m being nitpicky about this. Very nice work getting that high quality cover, though!
Because they are the composers for the game. The Mario 3D World Big Band provided the game’s performance. If you believe me, check out the ending credits!
I’m usually picky with artist data, but it makes sense for this release to keep it as the data Nintendo provided. We don’t know ‘who did what track’ on here, although if I remember right Koji Kondo did a ‘beach’ theme and some other theme; I’d have to look more into it though.

I’m kind of butting in, but listing all the artists involved in the making of the CD would be just as plausible. I mean, ‘Mario 3D World Big Band’ IS Mahito Yokota, Toru Minegishi, Yasuaki Iwata, and Koji Kondo. The former is definitely much easier to write down, but it’s not specific, and just as you say we don’t know who did each individual track, so it wouldn’t be a bad idea just to put down all those artists regardless of who composed it.
They’re already listed under composer.
Actually, you’re wrong.
Mahito Yokota, Toru Minegishi, Yasuaki Iwati, and Koji Kondo are composers.
The "Mario 3D World Big Band" are performers.

Unless someone has a special scanning guide? Going to be using one of those all-in-one scanners..

Great! Choose the maximum resolution and if you find some distortion, try rotating (physically not digitally) the booklet some degrees, like the ones shown here (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Screen_angle), so to avoid this (http://the-print-guide.blogspot.com/2009/12/moire.html) problem.

Sounds great! Could you possibly also scan the booklet that comes with it? I saw a couple pictures of it and it looks fantastic, and I’d love to have a scan of it.
Here is an MP3 (http://www.mediafire.com/listen/w5866xdykarjmv6/1-22%20Beep%20Block%20Skyway%20%5Bwith%20SFX%5D.mp3) that should fit right in place of the other if you drop it in your playlist. I had to boost the volume quite a bit to make it similar to the album version but they aren’t the same throughout as the album one stays more consistent where in-game it changes more. The CD one has boosted treble and clearer bass which also complicates the perception of volume. It shouldn’t stand out from the other tracks when listening to the whole soundtrack though.
Here is a FLAC (http://www.mediafire.com/download/xqt3dxp2gd1o1ui/1-22%20Beep%20Block%20Skyway%20%5Bwith%20SFX%5D.flac ) of the recording before boosting the volume so much. Some might think it sounds better but it’s too quiet to just insert in the playlist unless you’re using ReplayGain or Sound Check. I’m posting it for whoever may be interested because why not?
I’ll give it a shot, thanks for the advise.. wondered how to get rid of that crap lol

I felt that was missing from the soundtrack. That, and the last Captain Toad level. Thought the added music bit from the rip version was a nice addition.

Mind me including this into the next release of the soundtrack?
Next release? That’s real commitment, thanks for all the hard work.
If you like the music from Nintendo, not just support the artists buying the soundtracks, buy Nintendo, it’s probably the last decade we’ll see them around if things don’t change for them.

I’m a huge Nintendo fanboy at heart, I’ll buy mostly anything they put out in a heartbeat with no regrets. I have faith they’ll be sticking around.
yea, people forgot they still have the 3DS and will continue to do portable gaming, even if they stop making consoles.
God damn, that’s one massive image.
I see I’m a bit late, but obviously I wouldn’t have said no to that anyway. If I’d known though I would have added an explanatory note in the comment tag or something that it’s a recording from in the game and not something that is actually on the official release to prevent any confusion. But thanks for the inclusion in your set, I’m pleased to have done something useful for people!
I wanted to get the new version up for download, so I kinda just assumed you’d say yes. :[
Since it’s untouched from SMG, there’s no need to include it.
http://vgmdb.net/db/covers-full.php?id=189067
It doesn’t seem to be appearing for me for whatever reason.
There’s nothing there, you’re not alone.
So glad I got it before it went out of stock. ^_^
Both links work, just tried them out.
EDIT: Found it, it’s "Athletic."
Isn’t there an outside area like in 3D Land?
Nope. I do believe it is the same track that played in 3D Land’s Toad House exteriors, but that it actually goes unused in this game.
Hm, oh well. The .wav had multiple channels but I got rid of the 2 channels that were for the interior. It was the only song I did anything to, delete it if you want.
