The House of The Dead (Soundtrack) [FLAC/Lossless + MP3 VBR V0]

Out of all the series usually cheesy and forgettable soundtracks, the first House of the Dead OST is quite possibly the best, and ironically the one without a commercial release.
Some of the tracks are very cool and the introductory organ music is quite epic and memorable too!
Fortunately, the Sega Saturn featured CD Redbook Audio music, and the tracks are bare-bones 44khz/16bit CD quality!
Despite being identical in terms of music, the Arcade version had way lower audio quality output while the Saturn version features a fully mastered sound.
Also, the same quality is found in the Windows PC version which is pretty much a port of the Saturn version.
Not much to say about this release; I simply removed a (maybe) noticeable click/pop in the famous "Stage Clear" theme, and added a slight reverb effect to the end of the last track which had a slightly abrupt ending.
Otherwise, I added just 0.1 seconds of silence in the beginning so the tracks don’t start immediately but have a more "official release" vibe to them. Enjoy! 🙂

This and HOTD 2 were my childhood, the music especially was fantastic. I really love the Magician’s theme though.
Though for some odd reason I can never find the second one’s ost.

Oh my god, thanks a bunch for this. Can’t wait for 2’s OST. By the way, are you planning on ripping 3 and 4’s OSTs as well? Because I’m pretty sure there are other people out there that love those games, and HD DLs of those OSTs would be awesome. Also, I think that the last track you were talking about was a High score theme or something like that. At least from what I’ve heard.

BriefCasey, I have HOTD 3 & 4 OST ripped from official disc release, it’s in MP3 VBR V1 (not the max but still great quality). I don’t have HOTD4 game to make a game rip, and it would be pointless to do a game rip of HOTD3 since the disc release is better. Would you like the mp3s I have?

My pleasure, you challenge me in fact 😉 and I prefer to have track name but I didn’t take the time to correct that , so now it’s almost perfect 🙂

As titles wasn’t identified I dug a little bit and so the eleventh track is a track of scores and/or ranking as I found. I used some video on youtube (lol) about the original soundtrack of the arcade and console versions.
