But still 🙂 impressive work
But still 🙂 impressive work
Would ‘complete movie version’ suffice? I isolated the DVD audio in order to make the edits like I always do. Yeah, I used the remastered album for most edits but not all, there are direct extractions. Isolated from materials, agreed, never released as part of the DVD, sure but ‘fan made’ so why can’t fans create iso scores?
I do appreciate what you’re saying and I’m happy you like it

err..None of my business..sorry.
Does this mean it can stay for now?
They can 🙂 but creating an isolated score means taking music and adding it to a DVD as a separate audio track that you can choose to listen to while watching the film. Taking the regular audio track from a DVD/bluray and trying to remove sfx/speech by advanced editing or by removing certain channels in a surround track is by definition not an isolated score. A very common misconception. And i guess one that is keeping people away from downloading from my thread here (called just that – Isolated Scores). They suspect it’s riddled with sfx and such and so choose to not download or even ignore the thread all together. Their loss is all i can say…
Sorry for the rant 🙂 just wanted to explain

Read my pm. I am not a mod, so I decided my opinion was not needed on the thread. You decide on your own course, and I will keep myself out of it, yea?

Hey, no offence taken. Thanks for explaining

blonde ‘ complete movie version’ would suffice … an isolated score is basically a seperate audio channel as an available option it is just the music with no sfx . Fans can create fan made cds like you do but , luike calidoran said an isolated score is pure music with no extraction.
Alrighty then. I’ll change it, that’s no probs

Hey, it’s fine. If you have an opinion about anything I do or what-have-you, please feel free to say 🙂
I do not critique the OP’s work, which I have always respected.
However if it is from a dvd and has fx or such it is a dvd rip, not an isolated score. An Isolated score is a special feature on some blu-ray and dvd’s that allow you to watch the movie with only the score playing. It is not a very common feature either. Ripping a dvd, even if removing voices, is not an iso score, it is, err..a rip. It can only be properly described as an iso score if it was in fact that to begin with, which in this case it was not.
My edit above did not concern that though. I was speculating on whether this could be posted on the forum at all since it uses material from the FSM Big Blue Box. NO music from FSM can be posted. So, the FSM remaster of the Superman-Superman 4 albums are forbidden. I believe the Rhino Superman can be used.
But after posting, I changed my mind. Figured I was not a mod, and I’d just keep out of it. If a mod sees this thread, I would bet a penny it will get deleted (the link). If it gets reported, ditto. I speculated in private that a big set of full/remastered Superman albums cannot be done without the FSM material and therefore can’t be posted. Just food for thought before embarking on the rest of the project.
However:
Isolated Score: a special feature of certain dvd/blu-ray. Will contain music as heard in film. No fx, no voices
dvd rip: a set ripped from a dvd/blu-ray with an attempt to remove fx and voices.
These are two very specific and very different things. It matters because an Iso score for Superman 3 is not known to exist, so if this were one (a real one) it would be a big find. There is no shane in it being a rip. It is just not an iso. It is a specific and important detail when describing the project and not a bashing of Blonde, dig?
There is absolutley NO nitpicking over any excellent piece of work from Blonde, never. As you say – excellent job 🙂 The nit-picking is about the terminology. Which Amanda so nicely describes above so i will not get into that. Let me just add this to what you say:
If it’s from the DVD, without dialogue or SFX, AND EXISTS AS A SEPARATE AUDIO TRACK THAT YOU CAN CHOOSE TO LISTEN TO INSTEAD OF THE REGULAR ONE WITH SFX AND SPEECH, THEN it’s an isolated score. If it has had these SFX and speech removed, no matter how excellent, it is NOT an isolated score. You get over that.
Since i am an avid collector of these isolated scores, i do NOT want to download a whole lot of unnecessary MBs just to find out it is not. 🙂
A post claiming to be a FLAC rip of whatever and you download it only to find out it’s in fact in lossy 128 MP3 – is that OK?
A post claiming to be something complete when it clearly doesn’t have all the music featured in the film – is that OK?
A post claiming to be a certain score you have been looking for but when you have downloaded, it’s another score completely, but hey, it’s the same composer – is that ok?
All of these are simply cases of mis-labelling and i can guarantee there are people here that would not be as neutral as i was in commenting on these errors
Thank you so much this is great this is so awesome, He’s Superman and Christopher Reeve is my favorite Superman ^^
here’s to a better new year

If you liked that, you’re gonna love the gold I’m creating for Superman II. The International Cut is finished – 26 tracks = 51 minutes. Richard Donner’s Cut is … problematic but do-able. Superman saving the kid at Niagara Falls was a bitch but not as big a bitch as the opening pre-credit scenes.
Keep watching
So, blonde, here’s my work for Superman III. Not my greatest by far (check the custom covers thread for the rest) but some turned out pretty okay 🙂

I think they’ll look good enough when used in iTunes or on iOS.

Hey dude. It’s been a while since I’ve been on here. Thank you for the new artwork. It’s really good 🙂
CD3 Track 8, it’s right there
Oh, with the track names being the same as the FSM release I assumed it was also missing here. Now I see the track length is different. Thanks very much.
can you reup it on mega cause link is dead please
thanks
And if you’re a company person, you can fuck off. We don’t want you here
I think this movie, for all it’s faults, still has things to like about it. It’s a massive come down after the first film, but Reeve is great, and the junkyard scene is iconic. BvS is pure trash.
Could you use the isolated score from the bluray to create a score for part 1?
