[MP3|192] Final Fantasy X HD Remaster (Gamerip)

Composed by Nobuo "My Personal Music Hero" Uematsu, Masashi Hamauzu and Junya Nakano.
Remastered by lots of nice people. Check this page (http://www.square-enix.co.jp/music/sem/page/FFXHD/) to see their names as I forgot to put them in the tags.

This is a very quick, temporary rip (but tagged properly and everything!) until someone provides the full-quality OST which has been out since yesterday. Here are my thoughts:

Nobuo Uematsu is a genius.
That is all.

Well, Masashi Hamauzu and Junya Nakano are certainly great composers too, and the nice people who rearranged the tracks for the HD Remaster are nice too. It’s too bad I only managed to get them in 192kbps MP3 format. I didn’t delve very deep into the game files, and I suspect better-quality music is hidden in one of the archives, but I didn’t bother to try and hack into them. This will do until we have the OST. 🙂

I probably won’t upload the FFX-2 music as it’s the same as the original soundtrack.

Almost exactly same as the original soundtrack for FFX, with a few differences: I didn’t find the original first track ("Listen to my story") straight away, so instead I picked Tidus humming the Hymn of Fayth as a replacement. The ending themes (ending cinematic + staff roll) were also one big suite in the game, so I left it that way because I lacked the time to split it. Oh yeah, and this also includes the previously unreleased tracks like Wakka’s theme. 🙂

Thanks for not uploading something that isn’t FLAC, but not making this some kind of bizarro Chinese out of the way process like the other guy. Been looking forward to hearing some of the updates a lot. Hope SE releases this on iTunes soon.

Edit: Man hearing these songs takes me back. Nobuo should be a national treasure to Japan. When he makes music, you know it’s him. So much personality flows throw his songs. Wish his successors in XII and the first XIII could inject a little more life in their work rather than crank out by the book bombastic snoozefests.

The FFX-2 soundtrack in the ps3 version is the same as the ps2 version.

FFX-2’s soundtrack (well the entire game) isn’t as well received as FFX’s, probably why they didn’t bother remastering it. Apart from better graphics there probably isn’t much.
