Disney once released a restored laserdisc edition of Mary Popping with an isolated score track (minus vocals/dialogue and FXs) included on the analogue track. I’m therefore wondering if anyone here ever got it and ripped the track in question from it, and if so, would they mind sharing?
I recently bought and ripped the 50th anniversary blu-ray edition (DTS HD 5.1 track – we didn’t get the 7.1 mix here in the UK that appeared on the US version incidentally) and apart from ‘Step in Time’, it’s all clean on the front and rear channels after knocking out the centre channel, though that did contain some parts of the orchestra mixed with the vocals, dialogue and FXs, thus rendering the rest not quite complete and it’s a complete version of the instrumental score to the film I’m looking for.
Many thanks.
FYI – Wikipedia notes that the isolated soundtrack is only in mono on the LaserDisc. (Supplemental audio features on LaserDisc tend to be mono when other audio channels are used). "When re-issued on laserdisc in 1997, one of the disc’s analog audio tracks featured a mono isolated music score. It has yet to appear on any other home video release."
