The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds Gamerip

Now, I’m posting this under Requests, as I’m not sure if I’ll be able to rip this game, due to free time and SFX. So far, all of the music I’ve seen of this game is very exciting. I encourage you to help me make a gamerip of this. Hopefully, we’ll just get lucky and Nintendo will actually make a new Zelda soundtrack for the first time in a decade. If SFX don’t get in the way, I could likely do it…

Same here for the first part 🙂
However I think we will get only ~20% of new stuff, like the whole Lorule music and new vilain stuff. Most of the game is A Link to the Past… But to me it sounds like they re-orchestrated everything, so ALttP themes updated to 2013 is awesome 🙂 Everything should take a look at the "launch trailer" released last week, it heavily features the overworld theme and we also get the old title screen theme.

I also hope for a music CD maybe early next year in the japanese Club Nintendo 2013/2014 rewards. After all, OoT3D, SS and TWWHD got officials OSTs as freebies/bonus. Even Majora’s Mask got a new release this year.

For my part, I will probably try again a rip, I didn’t make one since ages, but I will just try like Nintendo Land last year, only if people are lazy I will release the easy-to-rip themes as I progress to the game. See you next week, probably even before the official street date for this 🙂

too bad he hasn’t written more than 3 songs in a single Zelda game since 2000. the new music is probably going to be handled by Asuka Ohta (among others), as Nintendo seems to be found of her nowadays.

Just talking about ALBW soundtrack yesterday here, and a few hours later, it was the exact thing… for Super Mario 3D World that happenned.
We aren’t toast yet for ALBW because the game releases on december 26th iirc in Japan.

nope, she’s been with Nintendo since 2004 and done games like Twilight Princess and Mario Kart Wii. She did some arrangements for Wind Waker HD as well, and going by her work history, Nintendo seems to be fond of using her on projects a lot recently. BTW she was recently married and now goes by the name Asuka Hayazaki.

So I had some noise and I think I found new parameters and configuration for my hardware to better handle it, as well as a very little edition work.
Anyway I will have to restart a game from the beginning if I want to rip a few tracks I left…

How are you ripping this? I was going to provide FLAC, by doing a line in to my PC. If anyone else can do this, it’d be much appreciated, as I don’t have nearly any spare time to do so. I’ll do what I can, though. I wish Zelda games had a sound test. Minish Cap does.
I will not do a full rip, I don’t have that much time neither :/ And editing footsteps is too dull and hard for my skills :/
The new dungeons sounds pretty cool (I believe at least two of them have Link’s Awakening dungeons themes in background) but difficult to rip.
There also is a dat Adventure of Link palace remix for the streetpass battles that isn’t possible to get without sfx. We really need a proper official OST release.
It’s just we got the game very early in France so I took the time to rip some tracks while playing through the game 🙂

Actually the Prologue is from me 🙂 It’s the track I spoke about in my previous post.

I haven’t ripped the music of the cuccoo minigame yet, can the menu be accessed in this minigame? If it can’t, then I probably won’t be able to record it because of the sound effects. But I haven’t played the minigames yet, so I don’t really know what I’m talking about. Anyway, I’ve worked far too long on this today, I’m going to bed now. I hope the damaged "Yuga Battle 2" file was the only one, but I should be able to fix any others as well – if any of you notice some errors in these files, please tell me.

I believe the menu is accessible in the Hyrule Hotfoot minigame. I know for sure it’s not possible for The Cuccoo minigame.

OK, I’ll rip that tomorrow then. I fixed the corrupted "Yuga Battle 2" and "Hyrule Overworld (after Master Sword)" files and videos, so all YouTube and download links can be used again. If any other files are corrupted (I might not notice if nobody tells me) I’ll fix them as well. Tomorrow’s plans are less ambitious: I’m going to do minigames, the Lorule boss theme and possibly the Thieves’ hideout escape theme, but I probably won’t get to Lorule Castle.

I’ve just completed my work on this with the four missing Lorule Castle variations, will post them soon.
There are a few tracks that I know I’m missing, and I might add them eventually:
– StreetPass battle theme (too many sound effects)
– Octoball minigame theme (I can record this with fewer than normal sound effects, but it’s tedious)
– Triforce of Courage cutscene and Chamber of Sages with all Seven Sages (lost due to computer crash, won’t get there again)
Maybe there are tracks that I don’t know I’m missing.

@KusanagiShiro: I will soon re-upload the entire soundtrack with a numbering scheme based (roughly) on in-game order and there will be a YouTube playlist in the same order. The jingles will be seperate files, but probably still all after each other.

I just listened to it through my headphones and I didn’t hear anything… is there a specific point in the track where you hear it especially clearly? There’s a footstep or other sound at the very beginning, I couldn’t get rid of those in every track.

it’s in the whole track, more in the background. or is this percussion? I played yesterday this part again and thought it could be the snapping of this mouth-of-crocodile-only-enemy 😉

In the download section (this thread: Thread 165114 ) there are several links, either use the two links for my complete rip in MP3, or the one link below for the complete rip in FLAC. I’ve ripped 99 tracks in total.
For now I know that I missed the following and I can’t record all of them:
– File Select Theme (missed because I didn’t notice it existed)
– Treacherous Tower 50-floor victory (didn’t know it was different from the other victory themes)
– Octoball Theme (too many sound effects, no way to pause)
– StreetPass Battle Theme (too many sound effects, no way to pause)
– Triforce of Courage cutscene and Chamber of Sages with all 7 Sages (recording lost due to computer crash)

Helsonium, I managed to pause in the Octoball minigame…You just have to wait until Play Ball. As for the StreetPass Battle Theme, that I concur with.
