I saw it in IMAX as well. Francis Lawrence said it’s standard ratio up until the tributes enter the arena. Sure enough, when Katniss got in the tube and was lifted up into the arena, I watched the black bars get thinner and thinner until the screen was literally floor to ceiling. It was awesome. And as I mentioned in the request thread for the score, I’ve never noticed a score standing out to me so much while seeing a film in theatres (where you attention is mainly drawn to what’s going on as opposed to the music)

Just in case anyone is interested, if I remember correctly, in the film, "Horn of Plenty" (Chariot Ceremony on the complete score) and "Caesar Interviews Tributes" (don’t think it’s on the OST, only on the complete) from the first film are tracked, and Hypnotic Brass Ensemble’s "War" (the one that’s on iTunes sold by Honest Jon’s Records or something, that’s the correct arrangement) is also used twice. Interestingly it’s not credited…

yeah i found it strange war wasnt credited… and horn of plenty was used a lot… bummed that the version when the tributes ride in on the chariots in CF is not on the OST

and Katniss is used when Gale and Katniss talk right before the peacekeepers come into district 12

That’s not tracked, it’s a new version. It’s much more longer than the one from the first film, the piano melody plays in a octave higher, and there’s tinkling percussion which it wasn’t used on the original version.

Track 1 would be whatever the music was in the logo reveal teaser, Track 2 is TTL’s Beyond Fire, Track 3 is Ursine Vulpine’s Ark Ascending, Track 4 is Dean Valentine’s Dark Matter and Track 5 is this JNH track (I know the MP3 ID3 tag says 4 but you can change it however). Just looks neater in my iTunes, like to keep the trailer music separate if possible 🙂 If burning to CD though…stick it at the end of Disc 1?

Gotcha. In the back of my mind I thought, "maybe there’s a third disc comprised entirely of trailer music, but I don’t believe there’s that much out there". I forgot about the TTLM track, and the others I have not heard of, so they’re all news to me. I will definitely be downloading. Thanks.

I’m also very picky when it comes to keeping my iTunes library nice and nice, but it’s a little unnecessary for me to make a second disc as I don’t even have the OST. I don’t need it, so I’ll prob just throw the trailer cues at the end of the score. 😉

Also I’ve been trying to identify the ambient musics used in the beginning of both the Hunger Games theatrical trailer and Catching Fire teaser trailer (they are different tracks, but sound similar). The one in the THG trailer is about a minute long, and happens before "Deep Shadow", whereas the one in the CF trailer is only a few seconds long and occurs before "Beyond Fire" kicks in. Any ideas?
